Back on Earth, Erik Selvig was trying to explain the Convergence to a class with a blackboard of what he was going to talk about.

All Nine Realms are passing through each other and gravity, light, and even matter, is crashing from one world to the other. But if this happens to us now, the result would be cataclysmic. My gravimetric spikes can stabilize the focal point of the Convergence. This time the alignment, and all the other worlds, would just pass up by. It's beautiful. It's simple. Any questions?"

He was actually talking to fellow patients to where only one was listening.

"Yeah. Can I have my shoe back?" the patient, Stan Lee, asked.
