Jamie was still reading until she noticed Loki lying on his bed, bored, throwing an empty cup into the air and catching it.

"You look like you're having fun," Jamie replied sarcastically, but with a giggle.

"Oh yes. The time of my life," Loki remarked back with sarcasm, but a smile appeared on his face.

She couldn't help but giggle then requested, "Do you mind if I go change back to my regular clothes? I don't really feel like wearing a dress the whole day."

"I don't mind. But you should consider wearing them more often," he responded.

"Thanks. I'll be back in a minute. Try to behave," Jamie said.

"Who says I haven't been trying?" Loki smirked.

Jamie rolled her eyes with a smile and left to change her outfit.

Meanwhile, in a cell he shared with other prisoners, Algrim, a disguised Dark Elf, removed this gem from his stomach and crushed it in his palm. His whole body started to shake and glow red from molten heat. His cellmates panicked and shouted for help while banging their fists against their cell's energy shield.

Hearing the commotion, Loki rose from his bed.

"Jamie," he said, immediately starting to worry about her and knowing he couldn't get out to help her.

The intense heat grew inside Algrim, which released an explosive wave of heat so powerful, his fellow inmates were burned to ashes. He transformed into Kurse.

He shoved one screaming inmate's head, who survived the blast, into the force field and it burst. An alarm sounded throughout the palace. Jamie heard this and freaked out.

"Loki," she whispered and ran back to the dungeon.

Two Einherjar guards rushed to stop him, but he lifted them by their throats and roasted them. He then proceeded to release the other prisoners.

Beyond the dungeon, guards ran to pick up their swords and shields. That's when Jamie arrived to see the chaos.

Kurse spotted her then said as he pointed at her, "Aether."

She got mad and charged at him, as did he. They fought and Jamie was really good in combat. When he tried to grab her, he was blasted back a little and she was kicking his ass. All of this happened in front of Loki's cell. As he watched, he tried to keep a neutral face so Kurse wouldn't know how important she was to him. But on the inside, he was scared. With one final kick to the face, Jamie ran into Loki's cell, where he embraced her.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"Yes. I'm fine," she answered.

"Okay. Now go over there and I'll make it look like you aren't here," Loki instructed.

Jamie obeyed and he made the illusion.

Kurse got up and approached Loki's cell, only to see him inside. Loki was watching the prison break with cautious curiosity until he saw Jamie fight off Kurse, in which he felt utter terror. After they stared at each other menacingly, Kurse decided to leave Loki inside. As he was leaving, Loki gave him some advice.

"You might want to take the stairs to the left," he suggested.

Kurse stopped, considered Loki's words, and turned towards the left.

Once he was gone, Loki broke the illusion.

"Why did you tell him that?" Jamie wondered.

"Because he was probably looking for you and I had to lead him away. I could care less of what happens to the others, but to you, I would never forgive myself," Loki answered.

Jamie walked to him and held his hands.

"I appreciate the concern, but as you saw, I can handle myself," she said.

"I know, but don't tell me you weren't worrying over me when you ran back here," Loki pointed out.

"Well excuse me for caring," she teased then said, "Now if you don't mind, I've got more asses to kick."

She got out of the cell as Loki whispered, "I do mind."
