Jane and Thor walked around the waterfront at the edge of the palace. Jane was now wearing Asgardian attire.

"When you came for me, you knew I was in trouble," Jane said.

"When Heimdall lost sight of you, you were no longer on Earth," Thor replied.

"Well, how is that possible?" she asked.

"I believe you were and you weren't," he responded.

They sat down on a bench. As Thor explained, he took Jane's hands in his own and pressed their palms together.

"The Nine Realms travel within Yggdrasil, orbiting Midgard in much the way your planets orbits the sun. Every five thousand years the worlds align perfectly, and we call this the Convergence. During this time the borders between worlds become blurred. It's possible you found one of these points. We are lucky that it remained open. Once the worlds pass out of alignment, the connection is lost," Thor explained.

After demonstrating it with their hands, they kissed.

"I like the way you explain things," she told him then asked, "What will happen to me?"

"I'll find a way to save you, Jane. And after that, I need to find this other person who has the small portion," he answered.

"Your father said there was--" Jane began.

"My father doesn't know everything," Thor said.

"Don't let him hear you say that," Frigga chimed in.

Thor and Jane turned to see Frigga coming toward them.

"Jane Foster, please meet Frigga, Queen of Asgard. My mother," Thor introduced.

Startled, Jane took her hands from Thor's and distanced herself from him, embarrassed.

"Hi," she greeted awkwardly.

"Hello. It's nice to meet another mortal here," Frigga commented.

"Who is this other person who's here? All I've heard is that it's a new guard for a prisoner here," Jane wondered.

"Well, when word got out about the matter, she volunteered freely. She even told me that she can relate to him, which could help him see what he's done," Thor explained.

"Well, I'd like to meet her," Jane said.

"You will," Frigga replied.
