You're a dad - Patton & Deceit
1:15am
I don't care what anyone says the new Lion King movie was great and actually really funny. I loved Pumba and Timone lmaoo plus the animation was actually really good?? I don't care that you can't see as much emotion they said live action and bitch we got it
Plus, it's for the kids, so all the adults complaining should probably realise that just because this movie exists doesn't mean the original doesn't lol
Moving on (pls don't debate too hard in the comment section-)
aND NO SPOILERS! ^ I'll kill you

"What's that, Patton?" Logan asked after entering the kitchen and spotting the side in question gazing inside of a box, the only window facing him which Logan couldn't see from his angle.
"Come look!" He gushed, unable to stop staring so curiously Logan did so, peering inside the box, eyebrows raising in surprise at what he saw.
Sitting in a bundle atop of a soft blanket was a baby snake. Or at least a very small one.
"I thought you were a dog person?" Logan questioned, glancing over at one of their [many] pet dogs that live with them in the mind. Patton giggled, standing up and tapping Logan's nose cutely. "This isn't for me, silly! It's a gift for DeDe!"
"DeDe?" Logan questioned with furrowed eyebrows, Patton merely nodded enthusiastically and Logan supposed he couldn't see anything wrong with that. In fact it was rather sweet, he knew Deceit had wanted a snake for awhile but the only side who can create animals was Roman and they were both currently in a beef about literal beef. It was a long story Logan didn't even want to think about it.
"D'you think he'll like it?" Patton asked after lifting up the box extra carefully. Logan shrugged, pushing up his glasses. "I have no idea - from past observations he does like snakes and does want one. But if he wants this one in particular is a mystery" Patton frowned for a moment then quickly brushed it off, "well I'll keep her if he doesn't!" He concluded, leaving the room with a happy skip in his step.
Logan sat down at the table, looking up at the cat that suddenly jumped up onto it, stretching his body and waving his tail into the air.
He then pinched the bridge of his nose, wondering what he did to get here.
Patton carried on down the hallway and to the room they created for Deceit (another one for Remus) if they ever wanted to live in the 'light side' section of the mind. Sometimes they stay over, most of the time they stay in the 'dark side' but deep down Patton knew they preferred it here. He was glad they did, he wanted to make them feel as loved as everyone else, even if they were a little more...eccentric.
Knocking on his door he walked into his room, happily surprised to see Deceit sitting on his bed, one leg crossed over the other, the picture of grace and perfection. In his hands he held a book that Logan had suggested to him a few days ago and he'd never admit he was hooked after the first page. His eyes lifted when he heard the knocking, not surprised to see Patton the only side who knocks and comes straight in without waiting for a response.
Logan knocks and waits, Roman barges in and Virgil avoids interacting with anyone if he could help it - Remus? Well, he just pops up. It gets annoying sometimes.
"Patton, lovely to see you" he mused, closing his book and setting it to the side. Patton giggled at his lie but didn't take it to heart, he usually never did when it came to Deceit, instead he placed the box into his desk, standing in front of the window so Deceit couldn't see what it was.
"I have a surprise for you, DeDe!" He explained, Deceit pressed his lips together. "Don't call me that-"
"C'mere DeDe! And close your eyes" Deceit sighed, he was sure nothing he would say would make Patton stop calling him that so he obeyed his wishes, standing up and closing his eyes when he got close.
"Hold out your hands" Patton added while reaching into the box and delicately picking out the snake, glancing over his shoulder at Deceit who jokingly held out all six hands. Patton giggled and let the snake get adjusted to being carried before laying it down in Deceit's hands.
"Open!" He grinned, watching Deceit's eyes widen when he looked down at the snake in his hands. It was small, white with hints of pink, lifting it's head to look up at Deceit. For a moment the two stared at each other in complete stillness until the snake poked out it's tongue, letting out a soft hiss.
"You're a dad!" Patton said enthusiastically, gasping quietly when Deceit teared up.
"Sso tiny" he whispered, dragging out his letters - something he did when he was overly emotional. Patton cooed affectionately, watching Deceit lift one of his hands and stroke the small snake who began to slither up his arms and across his shoulders, happily resting there while Deceit watched on. He didn't start crying but Patton could see the gloss coating over his eyes.
"I'm a dad" he then agreed, looking over at Patton who clapped excitedly. "What's her name?" He asked and Deceit paused, because it was a gift from Patton and he knew he adored a certain teddy-bear character - Deceit had the perfect name.
"Winnie" he settled and Patton's eyes glowed. "That's so cute, Kiddo! I'm glad you like her"
Later that day Deceit didn't care if his presence was still new and slightly unsettling, he appeared in the living room where the other 'light sides' were preparing for their movie, all looking over to him when he cleared his throat, on his arm he held his snake who had curled around it comfortably.
"This is Winnie, if anything happens to her I will kill you all and then myself" he concluded and all the sides took it seriously but even still Patton was still smiling widely, sitting in his lap one of his countless dogs. The room filled with animals, in fact.
Deceit looked over to the corner, was that a lion cub-yep he was turning and leaving this is why he spent most of his time in the 'dark side'!
And he made sure to tell them that.
Then he saw the lion cub's parents.
"Thomas!"
"Deceit?"
"I'm living with you move over"
