School boy shenanigans - Logan x Virgil

pacK YOUR SHIT WE'RE LEAVING

Au

"Hey! Hold the door!" Virgil called as he rushed up, the last person to enter the house turned around, their dark robe swishing around their body as they did so. Quickly giving Virgil a once over, the student rose their eyebrow suspiciously.

"You're not a Ravenclaw" they commented, noticing the yellow tie dangling down their chest.

"What? Yeah I am" Virgil corrected, hands resting in his trouser pockets casually, unlike the Ravenclaw before him he didn't wear a robe, he found them uncomfortable, way too warm and all around stupid - he was given one and hasn't worn it since.

"No, you are not" the Ravenclaw denied, although they currently had a tight schedule, and if this Hufflepuff carried on the way he was the student was sure to give up quickly.

"Yeah, I am"

"No, you are not"

"As a matter of fact, I am"

"As a matter of-know what? I don't care" with that, they turned around and headed inside their house, Virgil just smirked and sauntered on in behind them, pulling the door closed with his foot. The common room was mostly empty due to the fact he was sure most other Ravenclaws were in the library or talking to professors - the fucking nerds.

He headed into the boy's dorms, spotting Logan sitting criss-cross on his bed, notebook resting on his thigh where he copied notes down from an even bigger book laying on his bed.

Lifting his wand out of his back pocket, Virgil whispered a spell, the book levitating before snapping shut quick and flinging across the room, hitting the wall heavily before falling to the floor in a heap. Logan stared at the bed, blinking, until he lifted his head and gazed at Virgil with a deadpan expression.

"Why do I love you?" He asked while using his wand to bring back the book. Virgil merely laughed, sitting opposite him where the book was previously, pushing it to the floor when Logan put it back on the bed.

"C'mon, I'm bored" Virgil nodded towards the doorway as a silent gesture for him to leave the house with him and walk around Hogwarts, presumably to mess about and 'prank' people - it was his favourite pass time, Logan couldn't (could) see why.

"And I'm busy" Logan responded, reaching for the book which was flung so far once again it smashed through a window, making both boys flinch and stare at the hole, wide eyed.

"I thought it was open-"

"You're a fucking idiot, Virgil"

And the Hufflepuff let out a laugh.

After Logan levitated the book back to them and Virgil fixed the window, the Ravenclaw finally decided to join him, leaving the studying for a later date and exiting the tower with Virgil by his side, a permanent grin stuck to his face.

"I've already messed with Roman today - his hair'll be purple for a week"

"The irony being he probably won't mind" Logan responded as he imagined Roman with bright colourful hair and decided that yes, Roman would absolutely adore it.

"Wait, really?" Virgil sighed then pouted, "whatever, he's a moron"

"And your best friend" Logan tacked on, Virgil rolled his eyes. "In his fucking dreams-hey, who's that?" He rushed to hide behind a pillar, looking down the hallway at a group of students from the younger years, they were all Slytherins, sitting on a bench while messing with a few Hufflepuff's across the square who all tried to reach for their books that were hanging in the air above them.

"The brats are about to wish they were never born" Virgil grinned evilly, waving around his wand in the Slytherins direction, "aguamenti" he said loud enough for Logan to hear and he smiled a little in amusement, watching as sudden water poured onto them, drenching each student who shrieked and squawked, jumping up and looking around wildly to see who was the culprit.

Virgil made sure the Hufflepuffs got all their stuff and rushed away before casually walking to the students with Logan in tow, his own wand hidden in his robe's sleeve.

"Did you do this?" One of them asked and Virgil smirked, "did you like it? Took me fucking ages to learn that spell" he then glanced at Logan to share his exasperation, all Logan did was stare at him with an unimpressed look.

"You bloody twat" a Slytherin spat, ready to shoot a spell at Virgil but Logan was on it, suddenly rope was tying up the boy who squirmed and yelled, all his Slytherin friends darting away to be away from whatever the couple might do to them.

"Eh, they're boring, let's go" Virgil turned and walked away, Logan moved the kid up and down in the air for awhile before dropping him, letting him get up and run away with his arms still pinned to his body by the rope.

"You will get into trouble for this one day" Logan commented while he watched Virgil point his wand in the direction of a random bunch of younger years, murmuring 'Avifors' under his breath. Logan watched as one of the students let out a gasp as they turned into a bird, the friends around them letting out yelps and cries of surprise.

"Who cares? This place is a shit hole-besides, it's just like getting a detention in a normal school and I got those all the time" he drawled as if it were nothing, scowling when Logan quickly changed the bird back into a student before any professor could come by and quickly find the culprits.

"If you are so bored, why don't I entertain you?" Logan offered, sliding his wand back up his sleeve. Virgil snorted, raisins his eyebrow at the pureblood who probably didn't understand the sexual undertones that sentence could hold. "Sure-it's a good thing the Ravenclaw dorms are usually empty" he winked and realisation quickly dawned on Logan who face palmed while Virgil laughed in the background.

"You are asexual-" Logan tried, quickly being dragged down the hallway by Virgil who shrugged.

"Doesn't mean I can't make jokes" he shrugged off, leaning on a wall while looking around the corner down at a single student on their own reading from a book. "Hm, I wonder" he whispered, eyes focused on the book as he thought.

"For a Hufflepuff you aren't exactly the nicest" Logan commented with crossed arms. Virgil finally turned to look at his boyfriend. "Just because we're loyal doesn't make all of us kind. If you want kindness find Patton" the Ravenclaw merely sighed again, but contently watched his boyfriend turn the student's book alive, unable to stop a few chuckles from escaping him as the student ran away from the book that quickly chased after them.

"Okay, now can I show you what I meant?" Logan offered and Virgil stared at him with pursed lips but he knew his boyfriend was serious so with a fake sigh he grasped his hand and allowed himself to be led outside of the school, walking across the field and away from the castle.

"Where are we going?" Virgil asked after awhile. He originally suspected they were going to his room to cuddle (as he knew Logan knew that was his favourite pass time) but when they left he was surprised yet intrigued.

"I know of this place" Logan began, glancing over his shoulder, eyes searching seemingly for a certain someone. He went quiet as he gazed across all the students outside, pausing when he finally found the one. "That I will inform you of in a minute" before Virgil could even ask his arm was being grabbed and they were suddenly apparating across the field.

"Oh-Jesus Christ! Lo! Warn a guy!" Virgil yelled as he collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily while all Logan did was straighten out his robes.

"Roman" the Ravenclaw greeted the boy who turned around quickly when he heard Virgil's yells. "Ah, Virgil! Nerd!" He told his friends he'd be five minutes before pouring his full attention onto his close friend and best friend.

"What can I do for you?" He asked while smirking in amusement at Virgil who grumbled while hauling himself up from the ground. "As you know my apparation spell isn't mastered yet"

"Yeah, no shit" Virgil scoffed, Logan merely ignored him and carried on. "So I will need to borrow two of your brooms" Virgil lifted his head at that, raising both eyebrows in question. "Of course! Coming right up" as Roman turned to his friends to inform them of what he needed, Virgil tugged on Logan's arm, silently asking what the fuck he was planning.

"I cannot apparate us to where I want to go" he explained, "so we need brooms"

"Yeah, great, but where the fuck are we going?" And Logan smiled in amusement, "you shall see" he concluded, with that he turned in the direction Roman and a few other Gryffindor's ran off in. He has borrowed brooms from Roman in the past and seeing as he plays Quidditch he has easy access to them whenever he wants.

"Y'know surprises make me anxious, Lo" Virgil then murmured quietly, fiddling with the end of Logan's robe sleeve. The pureblood turned to face him, sending him a smile that reassured him. "Would I ever take you somewhere that could potentially hurt you?" He asked and Virgil sighed a little in agreement, "no..."

"Then you can trust me, I promise I will tell you soon. I merely don't want anyone to overhear" he then gestured to the people around them who were indulged in their conversation. He nodded, a little relaxed now but Logan wasn't planning on keeping it a surprise forever, he would tell him but when they were away from ears.

Quickly Roman returned with the two brooms, handing them over to Logan and Virgil who took them with a thank you and a nod of gratitude. "Stay safe, love birds!" Roman called before jogging off with his friends.

"Come with me" Logan nodded towards the forest so the two students set off, moving quicker than usual in hopes to avoid the eyes of any lingering professors.

"So, you gonna tell me?" Virgil asked once they reached the forest edge. Logan took one more sweep of the land before tugging Virgil inside the forest, hiding behind a bunch of bushes before bringing our his wand and whispering a spell.

"What was that?"

"A camouflage spell" Logan explained while sitting onto the broom. "No one will notice us - we will blend in" he explained, waiting until Virgil was on his broom and the two were flying through the air. They stayed in the forest for now, going a leisurely speed to not fly straight into a tree.

"Now, we're we going, nerd?" Virgil finally asked once getting the hang of the whole flying thing. Logan rolled his eyes at the nickname but he knew Virgil was serious - his anxiety would only worsen with each passing minute the surprise lasted.

"Like I stated earlier I know of this place" he began, gently brushing away a branch that hung in his way. "I found it earlier this year after overhearing a conversation between muggleborns" he carried on, glancing at Virgil every so often to see he was engaged in what he was saying.

"Not too far away from Hogwarts is a town. It isn't the biggest nor the smallest either. I have visited a few times and still am a bit awkward with muggle etiquette but I am getting the hang of it" and Virgil sat up a little straighter, eyebrow risen in curiosity. "A town- you mean a muggle town?" He asked for confirmation and Logan nodded.

The smile that swept across Virgil's face was enough to make Logan's heart melt figuratively. "I was planning to show you on our anniversary in a few days but-" and he was cut off when two arms were thrown around him in a hug. He smiled slightly and hugged his boyfriend back.

The trip didn't take too long once they were far enough away to fly above the trees and pick up the pace. Luckily it wasn't too hard to find and with the sun setting in the distance the lights from the town really showed off where it was from the sky.

"Down here" Logan pointed to a small opening between the trees, flying down to it with Virgil in tow. The Hufflepuff did as Logan did, jumping off the broom and hiding it underneath some vegetation. "On my first visit the muggles seemed very confused with my robe" Logan quickly gave an explanation to why he was taking it off and folding it up to be placed with the brooms.

Virgil snorted at the ides of his boyfriend innocently walking through a muggle town wearing a robe.

"They used to be in fashion I guess" he shrugged but he was too excited to go into detail. Since arriving at Hogwarts he hasn't really been subjected to much muggle-stuff. Due to...unfortunate problems at home he didn't return and instead stayed in the castle during the holidays until he met Logan in second year. They bonded like that and every holiday was spent with his wizard family meaning they had no idea about muggle life.

He didn't mind much but going back was definitely on his mind for quite some time.

Logan noticed his enthusiasm and smiled, taking his hand in his own before walking through the forest. They found a pathway that led them directly to the town's edge. Down the street were rows of houses and Virgil beamed at the sight of a normal looking neighbourhood. "What do they have here?" Virgil asked while rushing down the pavement, wanting to get to the main part of town quickly.

Logan smiled in amusement, quickening his pace to keep up. "Shops, cafes, restaurants, a fast food place, a cinema-"

"A CINEMA?!" Virgil yelled, unable to stop himself. Logan flinched a little bit nodded to confirm. "We're going-we're going right fucking now. Do you have any money on you?!"

Logan stared at him in bewilderment. "Why on Earth would I have money on me-"

"Fuck" Virgil hissed, patting himself down but he didn't have much need for money, either. "I know this is bad" Virgil turned to him, "but it's for the greater good"

"The greater good of our entertainment?" Logan quirked an eyebrow, knowing where Virgil was going with this. He hesitated, bobbed from one foot to the other before shrugging and nodding. "Yeah, sure, c'mon" and he crossed the road with Logan, stepping onto someone's property as their lights were on and a downstairs window was open.

With the camouflage still on they were pretty much hidden as they peeked through the window and watched one man sitting on the couch watching television while another man relaxed in an armchair, gazing at his phone screen.

With the two distracted, Virgil lifted out his wand, barely whispered a spell and pointed it towards a table pressed to the wall. Slowly a wallet began to levitate in the air, floating over towards them. Logan kept his eyes glued onto the muggles - if they saw a floating wallet he was sure that wouldn't go down well with the Ministry.

Quickly the wallet was in Virgil's hand and he rifled through it, drawling out a few twenty pound notes. "They won't miss these" Virgil whispered, using the same spell to return the wallet to it's place.

"C'mon" he left the property quick and while Logan didn't entirely agree he cared for Virgil's happiness more.

Before they entered town that still held a few people walking down the streets they removed the spell, unmasking their camouflage.

"Wait" Virgil's eyes homed in on a shop across the road, before Logan knew it the Hufflepuff was darting across the street, nothing able to stop him as he burst into the shop. From it's outer appearance and name Logan assumed it was a music shop. Following suit, he opened the door calmly, spotting his boyfriend flicking through different CD'S.

"Is that MCR?!" He exclaimed, "holy shit is that twenty one-hOLY SHIT IS THAT PANIC?!" His voice filled the entire shop but the owner didn't seem to mind. She just laughed lightly while watching the boy freak out over music he apparently hadn't heard in 'years'. She assumed he was exaggerating but the two boys knew it was anything but.

"I want them-I want them all" he looked at Logan who certainly wasn't protesting to Virgil getting whatever he wanted. So, a few minutes later they left the shop with a bag filled with music CD's from Virgil's favourite bands.

"Can't believe wizards don't have Panic!" He sighed in disapproval, "yeah you can make food appear out of nowhere, same with water, but you don't have panic!?" He sighed again and Logan snorted.

With the remaining money the two entered the cinema, Virgil looking over the options while Logan gazed over at the food and drinks section. "Toy Story 4?" He exclaimed in surprise, "there was a second? There was a third?! Holy shit I hate being a wizard" Logan shot him a look to try and quiten him down but luckily no one was overhearing their conversation.

"Wait, Aladdin? What fucking year is this-THE LITTLE MERMAID?! Oh, that's coming soon, but what the fuck-are you-THE LION KING?! Right, what do I do to stop being a wizard?" He asked Logan who was holding his face in his hands, a few people who were waiting in line looking over at the two teens, one of which making too much noise to be acceptable in a social setting.

"Virgil, calm down-"

"But The Little Mermaid's back-"

"I don't even know what that is-"

"Toy Story 4, Logan!"

"I don't know that one either, please Virgil-"

"Lion King, Logan!"

"You'd be surprised but I don't know that one either"

"Aladdin!"

"Virgil, I swear-"

"They also made a sequel to Mary Poppins" a voice called and that almost got Virgil kicked out completely but Logan was able to persuade the staff member. As Virgil was still freaking out he chose the movie that they would watch - the Aladdin remake, apparently. Logan hadn't even watched the original one, along with the rest of the purebloods he was sure.

They bought a large popcorn to share and two separate water bottles before entering the cinema, sitting down close to the screen that was still black. "What is this about?" Logan asked while eating a few popcorns.

"Basically this guy named Aladdin...no, spoilers, you'll just have to see" Virgil shot him a devilish smirk before stuffing his face with the delicious delectable. Logan sighed but didn't pester him, the two sharing conversation while waiting for something to happen. Virgil knew what but Logan had no idea, so when the adverts suddenly began to play Logan flinched so much a few popcorns flew into his face.

Virgil had to clasp a hand over his mouth to not laugh too loudly.

As the movie started, Virgil thought he'd be drawn in but after glancing at Logan he was suddenly more aware of the Ravenclaw. He hadn't ever seen a movie before so anything like this was just literal moving pictures on the wall that didn't do as much as this movie did - his eyes were gleamed over in awe, never leaving the screen once, Virgil was worried he wasn't even blinking!

Of course he did watch the movie too, bobbed along to the classic songs and throughly enjoyed the new genie knowing Robin Williams wouldn't be coming back. Just because he lived in a wizarding world doesn't mean he's completely cut from the muggle one.

Once the movie was finished and they were leaving the cinema Virgil had to chuckle at Logan's expression. "Liked it?"

"Liked it?" He repeated, "it was...amazing" he sighed and shook his head, dumping his empty water bottle and popcorn box. "I have throughly undermined muggles, I will be sure to not do that again" and Virgil laughed, affectionately bumping his shoulder into Logan's. Once they were outside the world was dark but with the remaining change Virgil wanted to do one more thing.

The walk was only five minutes but soon the two were sitting inside of a McDonalds, sipping from milkshakes as they couldn't afford any food. "Nice, huh?"

Logan shrugged, fiddling with the straw. "It is nice. It's just unfortunate they don't do these at Hogwarts" Virgil laughed, leaning back in the plush seat. "If they did we'd all be fat. Trust me, free McFlurries everyday? We'd be dead" and Logan smiled, he could see how that could happen - not dying, of course, but filling up with these tasteful drinks.

"When should we head back?" Logan asked after a few peaceful moments of silence. Virgil removed his lid, quickly licking the straw before answering. "In a bit, I have an idea" Logan nodded, the two finding their drinks before they left.

Leaving the fast food restaurant, Virgil held Logan's hand and took him across town, leaving the street and entering the woods along the pathway. Using his wand as a light, they began to head up a hill Virgil had seen when they were walking to the cinema.

"Have you any idea where we are going?" Logan asked and Virgil smirked. "Not at all, Kitten" and Logan couldn't protest.

They kept heading up until the hill began to turn flat. Brushing past a few more trees and hedges the two wizards found themselves overlooking the entire town which was lit up with orange/yellow lights. And above? Above the sky was filled with stars and as soon as Virgil tilted Logan's head back he gasped, eyes widening with the same awe they held in the cinema.

Of course Logan's stargazed before but with such strict curfews in Hogwarts he could only look at them from his window. Now he was outside, the gentle breeze brushing his skin, them laying against the soft grass, it felt...perfect. With Virgil by his side too, holding his hand, he couldn't be more glad he brought his Hufflepuff here.

"You know" Virgil began quietly, not to ruin the moment. "This sky is nearly as pretty as you" and Logan rolled his eyes at how cheesy that was. "Hanging out with Roman, huh?" And Virgil laughed, shuffling closer to his boyfriend to rest his head on his shoulder.

"Yeah.." he agreed quietly, squeezing Logan's hand gently. The two stayed there for another ten minutes before they decided to leave. Logan remembered where they hid their stuff so after putting on his robe the two flew back to Hogwarts as quick as they could.

"Thanks for taking me there, Lo" Virgil spoke when they were putting away the brooms. Logan looked over at him with a smile.

"Of course. I hope we can go again soon"

Virgil beamed, walking over to him so they could share a kiss.

"I would love that" he agreed.

And, like they had been doing the whole day, they went against rules and cuddled up in Virgil's bed, none of the Hufflepuffs minded - in fact they found it cute.

The Ravenclaw and the Hufflepuff in love.
