Virgil wouldn't say his life is good, or even okay, but he wouldn't give it up for the world, simply because he had... met his world. A few years ago. And his name was Remus.

Virgil had known of Remus for quite some time before they officially met due to Remus being a popular student, not only is he twins of the most popular student in the whole school, Roman Kingsley, but he is someone to be remembered no matter what, a student no teacher would ever forget. He is wild, unrelenting, somewhat crazed and doesn't give a single shit. His interests only lie in biology and his future dream job is to work in a lab somewhere like an insane scientist creating new species out of spliced genes.

The first time Remus' biology teacher heard him say those words they knew he'd be their favourite student.

So, yes Virgil did know of him, he knew he was borderline insane but...had more to him than first met the eye. And the first time they ever spoke Virgil could feel himself slipping and falling into a crush he assumed would never be returned simply because Remus didn't seem like the type to indulge in such feelings as romance, and love. But one day when Roman came up to him, asking him if he wanted to go on a date with Remus - who was too shy to ask - his heart exploded and he awkwardly yet instantly agreed.

And they have been dating ever since. Remus treats him like a king, worships his body Virgil once hated but now sees the good in, and brings him pleasure he's never felt before without expecting too much back knowing he was inexperienced and extremely anxious when it came to intimate moments.

Remus was also the first, and only, person to know of his true gender. Coming out to Remus felt incredible, and his reaction was everything he could've wanted. He embraced and accepted him with open arms, changing the pronouns he used for him that moment, and never calling him something that may feel him uncomfortable - like 'baby girl' or 'Princess'. He adored his name, Virgil, and strived to call him it as many times that day. It was...amazing, and truly the reassurance Virgil needed to confirm in fact; he was a boy, a boy named Virgil.

They were in love, completely and utterly. Only one problem...Virgil's parents hates him, and doesn't even know their child and Remus know each other. Virgil's parents know Remus because they know his parents. He and Roman have two mothers, the shared owners of a company that's brought them a surplus of wealth and a great increase in fame, the world loves them due to their generosity and what their company brings to the world. Virgil's parents hate them because they're lesbians and they're...better than them. Virgil couldn't stand his parents view points on the LGBT+ community which is why he'll never be able to come out to them as a gay, trans man without backlash and being kicked onto the streets.

It was heart breaking, gut wrenching, every terrible emotion piled into one whenever he simply thought about the people who were supposed to love him unconditionally. The worst part is he can't even ask the school to call him by his name, Virgil, rather than his dead name because if there's even a chance his parents discover his secret he's done for.

Which is why his life isn't great, but why he won't give it up. Because of Remus, the boy who's brought back his happiness, self love, and will to live. He wanted to give everything to that boy but knew he couldn't - all Remus wanted was him, which is why he'd stay alive, for him, why he'd carry on through torture, for him. Knowing one day they'd live alone together, Virgil exploring his passion for art, Remus working in a biology field, both doing what they loved, work-wise and relationship-wise. Wink.

Although life wasn't great, right now he could forget all of that, with Remus kissing him so passionately. "Mm-mmpfh, mm!" Virgil moaned against his lips, eyes rolling back as Remus' hands trailed across his naked sides, reaching underneath him to squeeze his ass in a way that had Virgil panting and whining pathetically. He wasn't entirely naked, stripped down to nothing but his binder - Remus has assured him many times he's still his beautiful boy with or without the binder, Virgil knows Remus doesn't mind if he keeps it on or not, another reason why he loved this boy so much.

"Fuck- Remus!" He squeaked, throwing his head back and clenching his eyes shut. Remus hummed in delight at his delicious reactions, leaning down to bite and kiss against his collarbone, never up around his neck, never somewhere his parents might see. If they realise he's in a relationship he's screwed, they wouldn't give up until they found out who it is, and if not they'd think he's off having one-night-stands which would screw him over even further.

"Re-Remus! Please" Virgil begged, Remus finally leaned up, hands ghosting across his slick, wet cunt. "Please what, whore?" He smirked and Virgil's entire body quaked under him, "finger me, please" he begged, the degrading turned him on to a fault; too much could really damage his self esteem which Remus knew was extremely delicate, so he limits it to simple words like 'whore' or 'slut' which always makes Virgil go crazy.

"Since you asked so nicely~" Remus cooed, pressing two fingers against his hole, sliding in easily after applying some lube a few seconds earlier. Virgil cried out in pleasure, gripping the sheets under him so tight they were close to ripping, shifting his hips frantically for friction he so desired. Remus watched him for a few seconds, grinning all the while, but he didn't want to torture his boyfriend too much. Instead he ducked down under the blanket that was loosely hovering above Virgil's legs, pulled up over Remus entirely as he sunk further down the bed, lowering his face right between his legs.

Virgil watched him with hooded eyelids, mouth parted to let out silent moans as Remus began to curl his two fingers inside of him while enveloping his lips around Virgil's clit, sucking and licking it feverishly. Virgil's back arched off the bed, one hand finding it's way to Remus' hair, tugging on the strands in a way the boy liked incredibly so, enough to make him moan around Virgil which in turn made him cry out, thighs quivering immensely.

They unfortunately haven't had a moment like this in awhile, due to Virgil going through his period - a terrible time for him, sex is never on the mind, which Remus can and will respect every time. Instead their relationship becomes much more wholesome, they cuddle, share sweet kisses, and delicate whispers of how much they love each other until they fall asleep in each other's arms.

And, every time afterwards, Remus makes sure to give Virgil the pleasure of a life time - something they admittedly both miss during that horrid week once a month.

Virgil's hips bounced sporadically as the sensations took over his mind, his thoughts a pile of mush as he chanted random gurgles of half-assed words, Remus relished in every sound that escaped from his boyfriend's mouth, they made him painfully hard in his boxers but he'd bring his beautiful boy to completion before thinking about himself - which is what he carried on to strive for, pumping his fingers as fast as he could while curling and hitting against all the right spots inside of him - making sure to give his clit that care and attention to.

"RemUs!" Virgil screamed, lifting his body up off the bed, thighs clenching as he suddenly came onto Remus' fingers, the boy didn't stop and milked him through his orgasm until the boy fell against the bed, legs spreading limp, whining weakly. Knowing he was done Remus slowly pulled out and slipped his fingers into his mouth, swallowing all the tasteful juices while making direct eye contact with his lover.

Virgil huffed, tucking his arms under his pillow. "That's...why?" He sighed with a small, amused smile. Remus leaned down and licked Virgil clean instead of responding, the boy shuddered and whined again until he stopped for good this time. "I can't help it! You taste good enough for me to cannibalise" Remus winked and Virgil rolled his eyes fondly, ready to quip back when his entire body froze in ice cold shock.

"You know she won't like this"

"Well, she'll have to do it. No buts. No excuses"

His parents were home, suddenly too, panic stricken he didn't know what to do, how to hide Remus, but the boy understood Virgil was in no right state of mind to help so he collected Virgil's large, abundant pile of pillows and threw them above him where he laid under the blanket, then tucked himself underneath completely and laid as flat, and still, as he possibly could. While doing so Virgil snapped from his stupider and yanked the blanket over him, not wanting his parents to even catch a glimpse of his binder.

A split second after they settled the door opened and Virgil was staring at his mom and dad, both still in their work clothes. "Nyx!" Their mother glared, "sleeping already!? It's only six!"

Virgil rolled his eyes - what was wrong with a nap anyway? Besides, he wasn't even sleeping. Still, his current position didn't exactly work in his favour. "Never mind about that" his father dismissed, walking further into the room and staring him down. Virgil hated this, he wished his parents had a sense of respect for his privacy as he was currently naked and blatantly trying to cover up, but they didn't even give a shit! Virgil truly hated them.

"We have some news for you" his father continued, eyes trailing across the bed. Virgil could feel his heart hammering against his chest, if they suddenly yanked back the blankets to reveal Remus, in such a compromising position too, they'd both be killed on the spot.

"As you know we're having a party tonight, what you didn't know is we're specifically inviting the Ambrose's too, remember them?" Virgil had to cast his mind back but he did, recalling back to when he was a young child and forced to go to these stupid parties his parents held - until he was at the right age to avoid them completely. The Ambrose family were lovely, admittedly, and only lived an hour away. The parents, Bailey and Flower Ambrose, (Virgil was surprised at first hearing the name 'Flower' and is still a little baffled to this day) had two kids, Leto Ambrose and Deceit Ambrose. Deceit is his age, while Leto is a year older and currently taking a gap year to his knowledge.

"Their daughter, Leto, has recently met and started dating a boy you will know - Logan Atlas"

Virgil closed his eyes for a moment and sighed out heavily, "really? This again? Mom- he doesn't like me like that!" He tried to argue but for some reason- no, he knew the exact reason, his mother wanted to set the two up. Logan was adopted by Marvin and Tracy Atlas when he was a baby, most people think of him as their biological child due to them being his parents practically all his live. Marvin and Tracy were famous from their designer clothes brand they started when they were both in their early twenties, growing it all through their life. They were currently nearing their fifties and were extremely wealthy from his much hard work they had put into their business.

Virgil's mother had wanted them to date since they first met, when they were thirteen, which was four years ago. They never clicked in that way, and both much preferred to be friends. Logan's parents couldn't care less who Logan dated, as neither of them were straight themselves - while Virgil's parents shaded and hated them for that they were better than Roman and Remus' parents simply because they were in a 'straight' relationship.

Logan came out as a pansexual asexual two years ago, Virgil's parents were disgusted by it and didn't believe in it at all, still, they could put Logan's social standing and family wealth above his 'lifestyle' as long as he was in a 'straight' relationship, or would be willing to have one. Which he currently has now, with Leto. Virgil doesn't often talk to Logan but enough to keep up to date with his life - and right now he seems really, really happy with her and Virgil despised the idea of trying to dismantle their relationship so he could try and 'slip in' as it were and get with the rich boy.

He wished his parents weren't so homophobic, then he could tell them he was dating Remus and they wouldn't hound him for it because Remus' family were wealthier and more famous than Logan's. Leto's family were the only 'normal' one (Virgil's parents both had separate companies of their own) but of course on the wealthier side. Virgil couldn't imagine his parents becoming friends with anyone poor, simply because his parents were bastards and only cared about their own social standing and how they could use other's fame to get on top.

They wanted Virgil to do the same with Logan, but Virgil couldn't. Even if he did like Logan that way he wouldn't dream of hurting the relationship he had now with Leto because he knew the struggles Logan's faced with relationship's and romance in the past, finding Leto and dating her was an incredible feat for the boy and Virgil praised him for it - which he appreciated greatly. Besides, Virgil didn't think he could date someone like Logan. He wasn't that experienced either and he honestly didn't think it would go too far, both boys too awkward to do...anything.

"I said, from the start, no ifs or buts! I want you, by the end of tonight, to convince Leto she shouldn't be with that boy. What does Leto's family bring to him, huh? Nothing! They're common, Flower and Bailey are artists, and while I can respect their work art belongs with art, and real work belongs with real work" she waved her arms around for emphasis, "we do real work, we run companies, work business. You'll understand when you're older" his father added and his mother nodded in agreement to his statement.

"So- you can respect their work but it's still not 'real work'?" Virgil scoffed, his parents glared at him. "Nyx- enough of that behaviour and attitude. I have-no, we have both had enough of your sass and backtalk, what as gotten into you? A young lady like yourself shouldn't dream of disrespecting her family like this!" Every misgender was like a stab and twist to the heart, and underneath the blanket he felt Remus slowly reach up and grasp his hand, squeezing it tight. He was close to tears he could feel his eyes sting, but crying in front of his parents never ended well. Usually they berated him further.

"Tomorrow afternoon me and Tracy are going to town to spend time together, your father is golfing with Marvin and we have planned for Logan to come over here. That will be your chance- and you better take it" his mother wagged her finger at him menacingly. "We want whats best for you, and trust me darling, the state you're in, you won't be finding anyone else who would be willing to date you" with that his mother twisted around and left the room, his father gave him a simple nod before following suit, closing the door after him.

Suddenly and abruptly Remus sat up, taking a big breath of fresh air. Not only was he under there, warm air clogging his throat, he also had to deal with Virgil's musk - which was beautiful to him but not when he's trapped underneath a thick blanket, with pillows over top too. Although he was suddenly distracted by the sound of quiet sobs and he whipped around, eyes widening as he saw his boy crying into his hands.

"No! No, no, no!" Remus worried, scrambling up the bed to curl his arms around his lover. "No, no, please don't cry! I-Virgil!" He whined, yanking the blanket up and curling it around them both tight, squeezing Virgil up onto his lap and rocking back and forth, burying his face into his hair as Virgil continued to cry into his chest. Remus, while a wonderful boyfriend, wasn't a man of words and unfortunately couldn't give Virgil much in terms of verbal reassurance, but boy would Remus hold him until the end.

"Mm, I hate them, I hate them so much! I'm gonna gouge their eyes out, pull out their hair-scalp them! Yes, scalp them- then blend their hands and feet, cover them in paper cuts and pour pure lemon juice over them! I'll-I'll-"

"Criminal" Virgil whispered between sobs, managing a light chuckle at Remus' rambles. "My criminal, it's fine" he continued, shifting around in his lap to face him, curling his arms around his neck. Remus made a noise of distress, gripping his hips. "But-but...you're eyes are still leaking!" He pointed out, his own way calling a lie. Virgil sighed and rested his head on his shoulder, pulling himself closer to Remus who laid back against his pillows, still keeping the blankets around them securely. "I know...I know" he breathed wavily, "but please don't confront them, they'll realise we're friends and I...god, that'll have such a worse reaction from them than this shit" he explained and while Remus was distraught he couldn't torture them he supposed he'd have to relent.

"What will you do? I...I don't want Logan to have you" Remus murmured, hugging him tighter, protectively. Virgil managed to control his tears, a small smile curling his lips at Remus' possessive streak. "Logan won't have me, I promise, I'm all yours criminal...I'll deal with Lo and Leto, I promise" he sat up and gave Remus a kiss, short yet portraying all the emotion he couldn't put into words.

"I love you"

Remus beamed, cupping his cheeks and kissing him again. "I love you too, storm!"

Virgil smiled, did he ever mention how much he loved that pet name?

Later that evening he was sitting on his bed, fumbling with the fabric of the dress covering his body. It was a lovely shade of blue, shoulder-less with sleeves reaching his wrists. It went across his chest to a reasonable point, thankfully.

He was hesitant to go downstairs, calling with Remus a few minutes earlier he was reminded of how beautiful and manly he was, no matter his body shapes and proportions, but he was still a nervous wreck. Dresses weren't his thing, and he really, really didn't want attention. He only wanted that attention from his love, but he unfortunately had to go home - like Hell would his family be invited around, or be able to come in the near vicinity of his parent's home without them rioting.

Knowing one or both his parents would come up soon to drag him down by the ear he headed to his mirror and looked at himself one last time, deciding to snap a picture and send it to Remus who responded almost instantly.

Virgil rolled his eyes at his abundant yet insistent use of emojis in his texts, especially whenever virgil sent a picture of himself. Still, in it's own way, it made Virgil feel better and after texting him for a bit longer he left his bedroom and slipped down the grand-staircase, finding his way to the large front room where the party was being held. Families new and old filled his line of vision, all mingling with glasses of champagne dangling from their fingers - there were only a few teenagers here his age, three exact (not counting Leto and Deceit) but they were all close friends and found it easy to entertain themselves here, the lucky bitches.

Everyone else here were adults Virgil would rather read a dictionary than talk to so he stalked off to find his mother, ignoring some of the gazes that lingered on him. His boyfriend was right - he looked incredible, the dress hugged to his slim, rounded figure perfectly and for some reason people couldn't seem to understand to keep their eyes at his face or not on him at all.

His mother looked just as beautiful too, talking to a group of ladies, all gossiping and what not - even if his mother would call out literally anyone else for doing the same thing. She was a hypocrite. Catching sight of her son she excused herself and walked over, giving him a once over and tutting. Virgil looked to the ground, she had always been a main source to his self hate - nothing he could do would ever make her smile.

"She's right over there, with her parents and brother" his mother pointed across the room to Flower and Bailey Ambrose, talking to their teenage children. Deceit was cool in Virgil's opinion, if not a little manipulative. But only if necessary. He had a burn scar across his face but didn't let it stop him from being normal, and never once did he hide it or be ashamed of it, he let it be seen with pride and looked damn good in whatever he wore. Especially a suit. He went to the same school Virgil did, they did speak once or twice but never enough to form a friendship - he was closer to Leto due to seeing each other and talking in the past at these get together, but he was closer to Logan then both of them combined.

And he wasn't even that close to Logan in of itself.

"Go talk to her, I want you two to hang out in your bedroom, spend some time alone. Remember: do exactly as I told you earlier" she muttered dangerously in his ear before standing up straight, smiling wide and gently nudging him on his way. Letting out a long, frustrated breath Virgil crossed the room rather speedily - simply to get away from his god forsaken birth mother.

"Oh- Nyx! Lovely to see you" Flower instantly greeted, her dress swishing around her gracefully as she took a few steps closer to Virgil who neared. Hearing his birth name come from others was painful, from his parents it was expected so hurt less - and he did block out most of whatever his parents babbled to him. It was the other people who really hurt.

"Yeah, same to you" he responded awkwardly, desperately wanting pockets to shove his hand into, at least he could make sleeve paws.

"You look beautiful this evening" Bailey added, giving his knuckles a gentle kiss. Virgil managed a light smile, he appreciated it but was still extremely uncomfortable in such an outfit.

He glanced at Leto who smiled at him widely; she, as always, looked stunning. With bouncy ice blonde hair so thick and wavy, just touching her shoulders. Her soft, oval eyes a bright jade gemstone and perfectly, naturally, tanned skin. Virgil often wondered how a girl as beautiful as herself could exist; not such a surprise she was named after a goddess. No one in the room could compete with her outfit either, a beautiful sea-blue dress, reaching her knees and flaring around the waist, with an intricate patterned top, sleeveless and bareback. Plus perfectly sewn lace giving it more of an ocean-vibe.

If Virgil was attracted to girls he sure would've formed a crush the first time they met.

"Nyx!" She giggled, stretching her arms out for a hug which he allowed, Leto being one of the few people he was comfortable hugging. Simply because she let off such a sweet and welcoming atmosphere, plus they had known each other for quite a few years. "Hey, Leto, what's up?" He managed to start conversation and Leto's smiled softened in that motherly way, in that 'I'm proud of you' way. Virgil's heart melted.

"I'm wonderful!" She gushed, doing a little spin. "I love parties! And everyone here is so nice- oo! And I get to see you again! I've missed you so much, please can we talk more? Lolo's told me about you! He thinks you're great, and wants to get closer! We really should! Maybe we should hang out some time? Or a sleepover? Whatever you're comfortable with!" And Virgil took a step back at her sudden explosion, although should expect it from her by now. Still- what she said caught him off guard, he wasn't used to people willingly wanting to be his friend, or become close with him. Apart from Remus.

"You're totally not overwhelming him, sister" Deceit mused and Leto gasped, "oh! I'm sorry, I really do get carried away" she giggled and reached forward to grasp both of Virgil's hands, squeezing them lightly. "Like I said, only what you're comfortable with" she smiled down at Virgil who genuinely smiled back; it was obvious how much Leto truly cared about people and most certainly would put everyone before herself.

Side note; Leto was fucking tall. Not even in heels, five foot nine, towering above Virgil's small five four stature. Remus was five seven, (same as Roman) which both boys adored for their own reasons. Leto's parents, Flower and Bailey, were both six foot while Deceit was five eight. A family of giants, basically.

Logan, quite humorously, was five seven but neither of them minded that Leto was the taller, gender stereotypes like 'the man is always the tallest' forever confused them, why should it matter? They were both in love and that's all that mattered. Plus Leto loved learning down and pressing kisses against her boyfriend's face which she cups and tilts up, revealing that cute, dazed and slightly confused expression Logan wore every single time. Leto swoons whenever she sees it.

"That...actually sounds great" Virgil responded and Leto squealed, doing another spin in excitement. Virgil was honest, he genuinely wanted more friends but was too anxious to do so himself. Plus, Remus has been encouraging him to try - so this was him trying.

While Leto happily talked, Virgil glanced over his shoulder at his parents who were already staring at him. His father made a subtle hand gesture to upstairs and Virgil sighed, turning back to Leto who was laughing at her brother's deadpanned expression.

"Leto?"

The girl looked at him, "yeah?"

"Can we um-" he swallowed and fidgeted with his sleeves, "can we talk? Upstairs?"

Leto tilted her head, concern washing across her features. "Of course, c'mon, lets get away from the party, yeah?" Her voice softened and she laid an arm across his shoulders, taking him out the room and up to his bedroom. Virgil's heart clenched, how could he be blessed to have someone like Leto in his life? Even if she's not really 'in it' as of yet. He wouldn't do what his parents requested at all, he was more upset over the fact his parents wouldn't give up for awhile, and he feared what they might do to her if he doesn't do anything.

They entered his bedroom and she shut the door, sitting Virgil down on the bed and taking the spot beside him. "Can you breathe alright for me?" That's when Virgil remembered she knew of his heightened anxiety. While the party was uncomfortable it hadn't bothered him to the point of laboured breathing.

"No, no, that's-" he shook his head, "that's not why I wanted to talk"

"Oh" Leto poked out her tongue, face brightening again. "Sorry! I get ahead of myself sometimes, my mama tells me I'm too much of a worrier" she giggled, shaking her head lightly. "What's up then, Kiddo?" She cocked her head, curiosity gleaming in her eyes.

Virgil looked over at his door, letting out a breath. He was planning to tell Leto everything, he just hoped she'd keep it a secret. If she told her parents they'd confront Virgil's parents and he didn't even want to think what they'd do to him for that.

"It's...something-uh...Logan-shit, fuck, how do word this-?!" He whispered the end frantically, glancing up at Leto who looked surprised when Logan was mentioned, eyebrows furrowing. "Nyx? What's...what is it?"

"No I-" Virgil shook his head, "nothing, nothing bad, it's just- my parents they-"

"Deep breaths" Leto cut him off, planting her hands on his shoulders and beginning a breathing exercise that Virgil didn't realise how much he needed. Following along with her he felt himself calm down a few minutes later, enough to control his thoughts and word what he needed to say properly, because Leto deserved to know - so she'd be ready for anything his parents might pull.

"My parents are horrible" he stated from the get-go and Leto's eyes grew in surprise, "they only care about status and shit- they want me to..." he hesitated, "to date Logan and I promise you I don't want to, I don't- I've never liked Logan in that way before. They only want me to date him 'cus of his family's position on the 'social ladder' or whatever and ordered me to try and make you want to break up with him - it's disgusting and I'm so sorry" he let out as fast as he could, watching her eyes closely, anxiously. How will she react?

She paused, swallowed, then slowly pulled Virgil into a hug - he wasn't expecting it but it was greatly appreciated. "You don't need to apologise for anything" she murmured, squeezing him tighter. "You don't want to do this- or have any part in it, I trust you, this was all your parents idea" she pulled back, still resting her hands on his shoulders. "I'm shocked, I...I knew there was something bad about them but nothing like this" she shook her head disappointedly.

"Is there anything else I need to know?" She prompted, Virgil shrugged. "I...I don't think so. Just be careful, okay? I...I really don't want to see anything happen between you and Lo" even in this situation Leto managed a smile, pressing a kiss to Virgil's forehead. "Kiddo- I promise, nothing will happen to us. Nothing that I'll let your parents do" and Virgil smiled too, believing her every word.

"Just- please make sure this doesn't get back to them. They'll...they'll kill me" he begged and Leto nodded immediately, "of course! I'll only tell Logan, this isn't too serious anyway...if it gets worse I'll find a way to tie this to them without you involved, I promise" she stared at him so strongly, so sincerely Virgil shuffled closed and nodded. "Thank you"

Leto cupped his face affectionately, "of course, we're friends after all, right?"

Virgil's heart sung, he nodded quickly. "Perfect! Here" she pulled her dress up to reveal skin tight short-shorts with a pocket on the back where her phone discreetly resided. "Swap numbers?"

And that was how Virgil ended the night with an extra contact in his phone and relief in his heart that Leto was so understanding.

The next day Virgil was lounging on his comfortable double bed covered with thick pillows and blankets. On the wall opposite was his television which he currently watched Netflix from, home alone, waiting for Logan to arrive. His parents left to Marvin's and Tracy's home an hour ago, apparently Logan was going to take himself here as he needed to make a few stops in town.

Ready to play another episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine his window suddenly slid opened and he smiled warmly, looking over at Remus who tumbled on through, wearing one of his usual skimp-esque outfits.

"Storm!" He called, jumping up onto the bed, diving right into him for cuddles. Virgil couldn't help but laugh, being thrown up on top of him so Remus could cuddle him comfortably to his chest. "Criminal- I told you Logan's coming over today" he sighed but definitely wasn't complaining about seeing his lover, resting his head on his chest and curling his arms around his torso.

Remus whined, pouted, basically acted like a child. "So?! That stinky nerd can stay downstairs! I want my boyfriend!" He complained and Virgil chuckled, eyes closed blissfully. "Don't you remember anything that happened yesterday?" He murmured, "I need to talk to Lo about what my parents said"

Remus huffed, carding his hand through Virgil's hair in the way he loved. He almost purred like a cat. "Whatever...I can be here too, righ'?"

Virgil smiled and pushed himself up, face hovering above Remus'. "Yes, I'm not letting your ass leave now" he snorted and Remus squealed, smashing his lips against Virgil's and spinning them around, pinning him to the mattress and pushing his tongue past his lips and teeth.

"Remus!" Virgil gasped, a high pitched, needy whine escaping his throat, but before they could continue the doorbell rang out downstairs. "Oh...fuck you" Remus growled to whoever was behind the door and Virgil too felt annoyed, luckily he wasn't too riled up. "C'mon, and don't fight whoever it is" he warned, Remus pouted, not liking the fact Virgil could basically read his mind.

The two fixed themselves up - well, Virgil did - and they went down the stairs. As expected, it was Logan, less expected, Leto was standing beside him.

"Nyx-! Oh!" Leto's eye's landed on Remus and she bounced where she stood. "Remus!" She squealed in delight, rushing up into a hug, one Remus returned quickly. "Leto! What in sharks sperm are you doing here!?"

Leto laughed, leaning back and kicking up one of her legs behind her. "I'm with Lolo, of course! You know we're together- and we need to speak to Nyx, both of us" she explained, staring at Virgil with a soft smile.

Both Logan and Virgil seemed confused as to how the knew each other, which Leto picked up on and quickly explained. "Oh! Yeah! Remus' parents asked mine to draw their logo for them when they were first starting their business! Ever since they've returned to my parents, which really helped put them further out there! I spent loads of time with Remus and his brother, Roman. I didn't know you knew him" Leto returned to Virgil who blushed, no one really knew he knew Remus or vice versa, he wanted to keep it a secret due to his parents reaction

"Uh yeah, we're uh, dating" Virgil gestured between them, which made Leto turn to Remus in confusion. "Dating? I thought you were gay?" She then backtracked, "well- it's perfectly okay to change your sexuality, you just didn't tell me. That's okay too!" She giggled, "don't worry, I was a bit confused is all! I'm happy for you two, now-" she turned back to Virgil who was grateful he didn't need to further explain the fact Remus was still very much gay, and he was dating a man.

"Shall we talk?" She offered and Virgil nodded, the four of them ventured up to Virgil's room where Remus cuddled his boyfriend on his bed while Leto sat in a beanbag, Logan in the desk chair.

"Your parents wanted you to split me and Leto?" Logan began, resting his hands in his lap. Admittedly when Leto told him this yesterday evening he was greatly upset, and after gaining permission Leto went to his house and cuddled him all night to reassure him she'd never let anyone break them up. Logan loved Leto with everything in his heart, the first person he's truly felt this way towards, his everything. He was rather scared sometimes in their relationship due to his lack of knowledge about romance and love, and that one day Leto would get tired of his questions, or poor affectionate skills.

But Leto happily reassures him she's not at all bothered, and watching his reaction to affections he's never had before melts her heart every time. Plus, every time he does manage to return it, it's all the more better, and cherished.

"Yeah" Virgil nodded awkwardly, "'cus they want me to date you. They only want me to date someone from an important family" he explained, Logan cocked an eyebrow. "But Remus' family is more wealthy and known than my own"

"They're homophobic" added, Leto's heart ached at the revelation. "They really don't like Remus' parents"

Logan nodded slowly, staring down at the ground to think. "What will they do..?" Leto murmured, "when they realise you haven't 'broken us up'?"

Virgil shrugged, shuffling closer to Remus who tightened his hold. "Probably insult me like usual. Ground me, make my life hell" he listed, the frown etched onto Leto's face turned angry and she looked away to try and calm herself down, she simply couldn't believe any adult who would do such a thing.

"Not unless I kill them" Remus added, Virgil snorted. "It sucks I wouldn't be so against it"

Logan finally spoke up; "then we'll date"

Leto whipped her head to face her boyfriend while Remus let out a snarl, wrapping his arm around Virgil's chest protectively. "No you won't" he responded, Logan quickly shook his head, a little surprised at Remus' reaction.

"We will fake date, I mean" the clarification calmed Leto down, while Remus still looked tense. Virgil cupped his face and brought him into a kiss which made him lax in his hold. "Fake dating would distract them for awhile" Virgil thought aloud, "as long as we're 'together' in their mind they won't ask about it, and..." Virgil's eyes widened, "and I can say I'm going to your house when I'm going to Remus'! That's like the perfect fucking excuse!" He suddenly lit up like a star at the thought of spending more time with his boyfriend, and Remus began vibrating in excitement too, heart melting at how excited Virgil was to spend time with him.

"Please" he shuffled to the end of the bed, "it can last as long as you want, we won't hug, kiss, whatever, just pretend, please I..." he blushed, glancing down at his lap, "I really want to have my first sleep over with Remus" he murmured, Leto cooed, covering her mouth at his cute the two of them were.

"I give my permission" Leto shrugged, looking at Logan who smiled briefly at her and nodded. "Remus?" He then looked at the boy who was conflicted, he didn't want anyone to have what was his, but at the same time they could spend so much more time together, in bed, alone...

"Yes!" He instantly agreed, "fake date for however you fuckers want" he added, grinning at his boyfriend who rolled his eyes and leaned against him.

"Then I can have my boyfriend all to myself" he added, pulling him onto his lap. While Virgil faced him and laughed, Leto turned to Logan and mouthed; "boyfriend?"

Logan mouthed back; "transgender?"

Leto shrugged and leaned back down in the beanbag, she'd talk to Virgil later, for now she'd happily watch the sight of her two friends kissing and laughing against each other's mouths.

Later that afternoon, Leto and Remus returned home, leaving Logan and Virgil behind. The two chatted for half an hour before Virgil's parents arrived home. They first visited his bedroom, beaming to see them both on the bed, Virgil underneath his arm which he quickly threw around his shoulders. It felt incredibly awkward, but as long as their parents believed it, they'd do it.

And it worked. Virgil's parents were dense but content.

Afterwards, like Virgil predicted, they left him alone. He managed to spend most of his free time over Remus' house, and not long basically lived there. Remus' parents adored him, found him super sweet and cared for him as their own (knowing his parents were useless piles of shit). Roman enjoyed his company too, they became close friends fast, and Virgil was finally growing more and more content with life.

Especially after a certain talk with Leto.

"Hey, Kiddo" she greeted, entering Remus' bedroom to find Virgil laying on his bed. Remus' parents were having a family party downstairs and Virgil sometimes went up to have a breather, no one minded, he wasn't judged and it felt incredible.

"Hey, sorry, gone too long?"

Leto smiled and took a seat, "not at all" she reassured, placing her hand on Virgil's. "Can I talk to you about something? I've wanted to for awhile but I've never had the chance"

Suddenly worried Virgil sat up next to her, silently urging to go on. "Remus he... refers to you as his boyfriend"

An ice cold dagger struck his heart.

"I just want to make sure I'm using the right pronouns? I don't mind at all to me what gender you identify as, I'd hate to make you uncomfortable though" she explained and suddenly the dagger melted into warmth, leaving his heart healed and full.

"Really?" He whispered softly, Leto smiled wide and brushed his hair from his eyes.

"Really" she confirmed back just as quietly.

Virgil blushed, nervously pulling his sleeves over his hands. "Um-...I'd.. I'd prefer he/him" he mumbled and Leto nodded, "of course! Do you have a different name?"

"Yeah it's- you don't have to call me it but it's Virgil"

Leto tilted her head, "why wouldn't I call you it kiddo? Virgil" she tested, grinning. "I love it"

Virgil's cheeks bloomed with rosy red. "Thank you, so much..."

Leto brought him into a hug, kissing the crown of his head. "Anything for my favourite Kiddo"

And suddenly Virgil had much more to live for, not just Remus, but his brother, his parents, Leto, Logan, and...himself.

While his home life still wasn't great, and to his parents he was 'dating' Logan, he knew things can and would get better, he just needed time. And surrounded by the people he loves, he knew he'd have all the time in the world.

Was that good? 🥺
