Meeting you - Logan x Virgil

Uh-oh spaghetti-os

Au

Logan looked through the screenshots of his and Virgil's conversation with a soft smile alight on his face. Usually that was quite rare, for him to smile, but he couldn't help it, he was so infatuated by the boy he decided to text that day last year and he could not help but smile whenever he realised he has gotten a text from him, or read past conversations.

Since that day, that day Patton encouraged him to get another friend, that day he DM'd Virgil because Patton followed him, his life had improved drastically. He didn't notice it from the beginning, brushed aside the fact he felt a little happier whenever he would converse with Virgil, ignored the way his heart warmed when he would text him first, didn't acknowledge the fact he would feel worried whenever Virgil would ask him for help, and definitely didn't want to bring into account the fact he could notice even slight differences in his texts and instantly knows something is wrong.

At the time, he didn't want to understand he cared more about Virgil than he originally thought.

But then, two months later, Virgil admitted to Logan he had a crush on someone, and that was the first time in Patton's life had he seen Logan cry. It was a mere few tears that welled up in his eyes, only one spilling down his cheek, but either way Patton knew it must've been something big to warrant this sort of response from the usual emotionless guy, so he held him close and comforted him best he could.

Logan felt silly for getting so upset - he felt stupid for ever thinking, maybe, maybe he could have a chance at romance with someone. But it helped him realise something. Stopped him from being able to ignore it, for it was right in front of his eyes, and even if he closed them, it was still there, in big, bold text.

He liked Virgil.

He cared for Virgil, heck he would drop whatever he was doing to text him.

And whenever they called - oh! Logan would be smiling for hours even after the call has ended! Hearing his voice brought him to a state of mind he had never been in before; a state of content happiness.

And Virgil liked someone else.

Logan distance himself for awhile, and the two even went a full week without texting once. Logan felt guilty for it, but he couldn't help it, it's what he did, drag himself away from the things that hurt so he could focus on his work and nothing else.

Virgil got worried, he texted Patton knowing he knew Logan and asked what was up. In the end Patton admitted Logan liked him, he felt terribly guilty for it at first, but when Virgil said he liked Logan, too, and that the nerd was his crush, Patton all but walked to Logan's house, rapping on the door heavily, calling for his friend to answer as quickly as he could.

With many, many messages shared, Logan could finally stop felling so distraught. He even saved the ones that finally stopped him from feeling so panicked.

Logan felt himself smile even further, remembering that day when they finally, officially became boyfriends. Logan had never felt more happier. Just as he was about to look through more saved conversations, the train announced the station they were arriving in, coming to a slow stop beside the platform.

He felt elated. Finally, he was here! Virgil had given him his address awhile go so the two could send gifts, and today Logan wanted to surprise him with a unannounced visit. He hoped Virgil would be in, he also hoped he wouldn't freak him out.

Grabbing his suitcase, for he was planning to stay in a nearby hotel for the week, he left the train and walked out the station, waiting five minutes for the Uber he called to arrive. While he waited, he ate some snacks, texting Virgil a quick 'good afternoon'.

Logan pocketed his phone and headed to the storage units the train stations hold. Paying for a locker, he tucked his suitcase inside, locked it and placed the key into his pocket. With the Uber having arrived, he slid inside, gave them the name of the street Virgil lived close to (as the man was very hesitant when giving out his address and made Logan promise not to tell anyone, so he's keeping that promise) and leaned back in the chair, watching the unfamiliar scenery pass him by as a bubbly feeling effected his being in the best way possible.

He was about to meet his boyfriend just a few weeks after their one year anniversary, and Logan couldn't be more excited. Of course, he didn't look excited on the outside, but that was just his being, on the inside he was wild.

The Uber stopped, he paid, thanked the driver and stepped out. Using Google maps as a GPS, he walked down the street in the direction it told him to go to get to Virgil's house. It was a nice, normal looking suburban town, with children playing in their front gardens and on the streets. The sun was out high in the sky, the perfect day to go out and relax.

Logan was happy with the weather - it perfectly described how he felt.

When he spotted Virgil's single story house in the distance, his footing faltered for only a second, a sudden wave of anxious feelings swarming his mind and he almost turned around then and there, ready to dart back to the train station and return home, but it only lasted for a second, and he knew it was merely cognitive distortions making him worry and panic over something that was bound to go very well.

So, with his head held high, he continued walking down the street, up Virgil's path and to the front door. He lifted his knuckles and knocked on the wood, taking a step back from the door to not be too close.

He waited a few minutes until the door cracked open, and there stood Virgil, timid, surprised, shocked, with his jaw hanging open and his eyes dilated into saucers.

"Logan?" He managed a whisper, holding onto the door handle tightly to keep him up right. Logan nodded, "salutations" he responded, and Virgil felt no hesitation when he whipped open the door the rest of the way and threw himself at the man who barely caught him, stumbling back and quickly wrapping his arms around his shorter boyfriend.  Virgil buried his face into Logan's neck, body shaking lightly as Logan felt a few tears splash against his skin. Logan remembered awhile ago conversing with Virgil, he did state if he were ever to meet him in real life he would cry, and Logan guessed he was sticking to his word.

He managed to walk into the house with Virgil clinging onto him like a koala bear, closing the door and heading into the living room where he sat down on the couch and held Virgil back just as tight.

"I love you, kitten" Virgil cried into his skin, Logan smiled gently. "I love you too, Dear"

Virgil sat up on his lap, shakily wiping his glossy eyes. "W-why are you here?"

"To see the man I love. I have wanted to do this for awhile, Virgil" he admitted, "but I did not know when the best time would be. In the end, this was it, and I plan to stay for a week, if that is alright with you? I have already scoped out near hotels-"

"If you for a fucking moment think I'm not letting you stay here then you're wrong" Virgil cut him off, "you promised me you'd spoon me and we're doing it right fucking now get up you fucking nerd" he ordered, eyes alight with happiness to show Logan he wasn't angry or upset, instead excited and desperate for some cuddles.

Logan obliged, and mere minutes later Logan had Virgil's back pressed up to his chest, arms wrapped around his waist, spooning him in the way Virgil had longed for since the two started to date.

"You're not leaving" Virgil murmured, Logan snorted, feeling the need to press a kiss to the back of his head, so he did, resting his face against his soft hair. "Not for the fucking week. We're staying here until you can get out of my cold, dead hands"

Logan compressed a laugh at that, instead formed it into a chuckle, one arm moving from his waist to draw patterns into his stomach, remembering all the things Virgil told him he loved, aka being the small spoon and having his stomach touched softly.

When he began, all words died on Virgil's tongue and he whimpered, gripping Logan's free hand tightly. "Don't stop" Virgil mumbled, "don't move, don't leave, stay here forever"

Logan smiled and Virgil felt it against his head.

"I would never leave you, Dear. Not ever"
