Hidden wings - Virgil x Patton & Logan x Roman
10:12am
I love being home alone :D

Virgil stared at himself in the mirror, flattening his wings against his back as he pulled his purple t-shirt over his head, adding the jacket afterwards. He didn't know why he was the only side to have wings, but he did know he would rather keep them hidden then have the other sides question him about it - maybe even asking him to fly.
He has in the past, but only to the roof of his room - which wasn't that high up - as he had a fear of heights, and could easily fall out of the air if he lost control.
It was easier to keep them hidden, and if the sides were to find out, he supposed he would try and make up some excuse.
Dragging his tired body to the table, he slumped into a chair, head resting in his arms to hide the smile that brightened onto his face after Patton affectionately ruffled his hair, kissing his temple lovingly afterwards. "Here you go, Angel!" Patton grinned, placing his breakfast down in front of him. Logan, who sat opposite, watched with a little happiness glinting in his eyes. He always enjoyed the morning time, no one was arguing, everyone was affectionate, it was pleasant to watch.
Even Roman was calm. Calm before the dramatic, gay storm.
Speaking of, said aspect wandered in, leaning on the back of Logan as he kissed behind his ear, trailing down to his jaw, making Logan shudder but smile a little at his boyfriend.
"Take it somewhere else" Virgil muttered, staring at them grumpily over his arms, lifting himself up to eat the tasteful breakfast made by his perfect boyfriend. Patton only giggled, placing Roman'a breakfast on the seat beside Logan, letting the royal sluggishly sit in the chair, intertwining his fingers with Logan as the two ate their breakfast in silence, enjoying the others company.
Plopping beside Virgil, the Father-like aspect wound an arm around his waist, letting Virgil lean on him as the two ate. "So, Roman" Patton grinned, dragging out his name while wriggling his eyebrows. Both Roman and Logan glanced up, raising their eyebrows at the same time, Roman looking much more tired, though.
Patton only giggled, ever since the start of Roman and Logan's relationship they acted as if they were one person, for example if one of them is called it is always a definite that both will show up. It was adorable! They're both so protective over the other.
"Yes, padre?" Roman shot him a dazzling, charming smile, gesturing for him to carry on.
"Remember what you said yesterday? You'd take us on an adventure!" Virgil and Logan both simultaneously groaned, praying that Roman wouldn't be reminded of that promise he made the day earlier, but of course Patton would remind him.
Suddenly, Roman jumped up, nearly choking on the food in his mouth. "Yes!" He yelled out, scoffing down the food in his bowl, milk dribbling down his chin as he rushed to his room, shouting incoherently - something about getting the stuff ready for the adventure. Logan sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. He loves his boyfriend, but that was truly gross.
The sides finished their food, already dressed and ready to go wherever Roman wanted to take them. Walking towards the imagination, Patton and Virgil walked behind Logan hand in hand, smirking to each other as Logan unknowingly walked faster, wanting to get to his boyfriend quickly, not liking being away from him.
Patton turned to his own boyfriend once they stopped outside the imagination, hugging his waist loosely and leaning on the wall beside a fidgeting Logan, eyes darting around for Roman.
Virgil slumped against Patton's chest, shuffling his wings under his clothes every so slightly, becoming more comfortable. His clothes had holes in them - made by himself - for his wings in case he was ever alone and wanted to stretch them without taking off his clothes, but normally the holes were hard to detect, as his clothes were usually dark.
Stroking his hair, Patton kissed his face a few times, waking him up as he smiled softly, staring at his boyfriend through tired eyes.
"Bambi.." he mumbled, coiling his arms around his neck. Patton giggled brightly, pecking his nose.
As the two leaned against each other affectionately, Roman came bounding down the hallway, throwing bags full of spare clothes, food, drinks, and camping gear at each of them, making sure to pass it more gentler to his boyfriend who instantly relaxed in his presence.
"We're about to go on a grand adventure! Stick close, be careful, and don't get caught by the dragon witch!" Roman grinned, dramatically throwing his arms around as he spoke. Adjusting his own bag on his shoulders, he slid his sword into the holder attached to the belt securely wrapped around his waist before opening the imaginations door, letting everyone in before him.
"What're we going to do?" Patton grinned, skipping around on the lush, long grass beneath their feet. Roman grabbed Logan's hand, holding it gently while they walked across the top of the mountain, where the door always leads them.
"I was thinking of camping! We haven't done it in so long!" Roman exclaimed, gently swinging his and Logan's arm back and forth. Patton gasped, jumping around in excitement, Virgil whining when he couldn't lean on him anymore.
"I love camping!" Patton giggled, walking beside Virgil who once again leaned on him, apparently eleven in the morning being too early for him.
"As long as we have everything needed to survive, I suppose it can be enjoyable" Logan agreed, letting go of Roman's hand as the royal strayed forward, checking the forest they were about to enter for any creatures ready to attack. Logan watched closely, Patton and Virgil behind, Virgil staring at the scenery while Patton stared at something even more beautiful. Virgil's face.
Squeezing his hand gently, Patton caught Virgil's attention. Said aspect turned to him, standing up straight so they were head level, both men couldn't compress their smiles as they coiled arms around the other, nuzzling their noses together happily. "I love you" Patton whispered, staring into his dark brown eyes littered with sparks of gold happily, Virgil blushing as he did.
"I love you, too" he murmured, hiding his blushing face into his neck, smiling as Patton laughed joyfully, hugging him tightly.
"All clear!" Roman called from inside the forest, Logan instantly stepping in through the bushes, Patton only grinning at his fast movements. "C'mon, Angel" Patton whispered, slowly pulling away, Virgil whining as he did. "You're comfortable" he murmured, hugging Patton's hand tightly.
Morality giggled, walking through the forest with him to catch up to the love birds. "We can cuddle when we get to the campsite!"
The four walked next to their significant other, all having a wonderful conversation as they walked through the forest across the beaten path, pushing away leaves and branches that had grown out.
"Here it is!" Roman grinned, rushing forward to their usual campsite if they were to go camping. It was in a small opening in the forest, the only part where the creatures didn't go to, leaving the sides safe in their tents. Roman and Logan quickly set up their tent quite easily, while Virgil only slumped against his boyfriend, dropping the bag onto the floor tiredly.
"Once we set up the tent we can cuddle all you want, Angel" Patton whispered into his ear, gently stroking the corner of his jaw. Virgil nodded, too tired to care about anything as he wrinkled his nose, turning his head to sneeze into the air, the force pushing his wings through his clothes, the sides noticing them at the exact same time.
Virgil rubbed his sleeve against his nose, confused about their shocked expressions until he quickly realised. Reaching behind him, he felt his wings out in the open, a dark blush rising on his face, panic bubbling in his stomach.
"I...uh...it...I..." He stammered, Patton slowly taking a step forward, smiling at him reassuringly. "Angel, breathe, it's okay" he whispered, cupping his jaw with both hands, Virgil reaching up to softly grip his wrists, staring into his calming eyes. "That his extraordinary" Logan commented, standing beside Virgil to stare at the black wings that hung behind his back.
Roman stared in amazement too, but he knew the boundaries, and stood next to Logan, not daring to touch them without the sides permission. Smiling a little, Virgil fluttered them, smirking as their expressions changed to ones of awe, both of their heads tilted as their eyes gazed over the black feathers.
Logan cleared his throat, meeting Virgil's gaze. "We are aware of your fear of heights, as unfortunate as it is, so we shall not request you to fly, but I must admit they are beautiful, Virgil" Logan complimented, smiling back at Virgil who placed a hand over his own smile, nodding his head slightly. "Thanks, Lo"
"My pleasure, Roman, the tent?" Roman snapped from his trance, glancing at Logan and the tent for a few seconds, gaining his bearings. "Ah, Yes!" The two went back to work, leaving Patton and Virgil to hug each other warmly.
"You look flipping amazing, Virgil!" Patton giggled, softly stroking the underside of his wing, making Virgil hum in appreciation.
"Thanks, Bambi"
That camping trip was one of the best they had ever had.

Thanks for the request!
Hope you enjoyed!
It took me awhile to write - not only because it was a long OneShot - but because at the start I was also texting my perfect boyfriend while writing :3
