Elements 3 - Roman x Logan & Patton x Virgil

Virgil's dark eyes scanned across the words across his screen, the article explaining the video tagged above. It depicted a man with his arms outstretched towards a car and a tree, using his - as the article calls it "Earth powers" - to save the old couple inside the house from the tree that was about to fall on them, and save the trapped man inside the car by turning it into sand.

Virgil found it remarkable, how it wasn't just Roman and himself that had the magic powers. He found what Roman did - how he came out to the world with his powers - to be...inspirational, at best. Although he felt like he couldn't do it himself, thinking about all the attention already giving him a slight panic attack, he did want to save lives like Roman was, and now that Roman had taken Logan with him to his "secret base" everyone knows Roman has but no one knew where - he wanted to meet the two, maybe even join them.

Now, though, he was mindlessly strolling along a quiet, long road, in the middle of butt-fucking nowhere.

Around him laid a desert-like area, the ground cracked and either orange or pale, the only plants being the thin, brown bushes that grew through the cracks in the ground. With his water ability, he never ran out of water, and whenever he became tired, he could find a small cave in the mountains in the distance, create a puddle of water and float in it until the next morning where he would carry on walking.

He didn't know where, or why, or how he had gotten here, with no real destination, with no home, he found himself alone most of the time, but...finding out about the second power-holding human gave him a flare, a flare of determination to find the people he would belong with, although his brain attacked him with thoughts that they wouldn't like him, and only let him stay for his powers, he didn't care, as long as he had somewhere to stay and hide, he would take it.

But, after traveling across the sea from where he once lived, he knew he was very far away from America, where he assumed the secret base was, as Roman usually spends a lot of time in there, the only times he was in another country was when they called needing his help with whatever was going on.

Now with the new magical person, being Logan, Virgil guessed the two would be able to save many more lives, and he couldn't stop imagining helping them, being there too, and quickly returning home while the others speak with the press.

He knew he would have to find them himself and somehow reveal his powers to only them - for now, anyway - for that to happen he could have to get to the ocean and from his current position, he knew that would take awhile.

Getting thirsty, he kneeled against the floor, glancing around him to check he was entirely alone. He didn't know why, he hadn't seen any civilisation for at least a few days. Sighing, he placed his hand flat against the ground, watching with slightly narrowed eyes in concentration as little droplets of water began to form around his hand, being sucked up from the moister mixed with the ground underneath him.

More and more came, and when he thought it was enough, he stood up, bringing the water together to create a floating water droplet the size of his head. Already clean, he pressed his lips to the side, eyes closing slowly as he sucked the water into his mouth, spreading through his body nicely until he finished it completely.

Carrying on, he winced as his stomach grumbled. Even if he had food, he didn't have a sustainable amount. He did at the start, but humans couldn't go long without any.

He thought about making himself turn into a pile of water so he could dash across the land until he found civilisation, but as he was about to, he noticed something in the distance. Narrowing his eyes, he could tell it was a house. Maybe they could help...

Tightening his jacket sleeves around his waist, he picked up his speed and carried on walking across the cracked, dusty cemented road he assumed to have been built many, many, many years ago.

It took half an hour, but once he stood outside the tall, white-wooden house, windows boarded up, parts of the wall laying on the ground having fallen off at a previous time, he sighed, realising it was just an abandoned house. But, it never hurt to check. Pushing open the fence, he flinched as the gate collapsed against the ground, brushing against the post that held up the mail box. It was broken and rusted with nothing inside apart from sand.

Looking up to the house again, he noticed on the top floor the window on the right hand side wasn't covered by wood. The window was smashed, but he could see inside, and noticed a white, see-through curtain, moving to the side as if the wind was moving it. Odd, he thought as he walked across the path, eyes glued to it until he stepped onto the porch, the roof hiding it. There was no wind at all, so he wondered why it was moving like that.

Thinking he didn't need to knock - why would he? - he stepped inside, grimacing at how dusty it was, everything in ruins. With no hopes of finding anything, he decided to go upstairs where the bedrooms would be, just to see if there was a mattress he could relax on for a bit. He hadn't slept on something comfortable for days.

Quietly stepping up the creaky, nearly broken steps he pushed open the door to the first bedroom, pleasantly surprised at the stained mattress sitting in the corner. Ready to walk in, his movements paused when he felt cold air hit against his body, a nice change from the hot sun beating down on him.

Wondering where the hell the breeze was coming from, he crept along the hallway, peeking through the room in the end only to gasp and take a step back, still able to see a man who sat inside curled up against the furthest wall, his hair brushed to the side by the wind that seemed to come from only that room.

Fearful, but also worried, he breathed in deeply and walked inside, feeling a strong gust of wind hit against his right side, seeming to spin around the room, continuously brushing past him while also affecting the curtains opposite. So this is what it was? A room with a non-stop breeze swirling around it in a circle?

If he didn't have powers of his own, he would already be running for the hills, but with a good assumption, the man who sat curled up opposite him was the cause of this.

So, fire, earth, wind and water?

With soft steps, he ventured across the empty room, kneeling down before the man who hadn't moved at all since he first saw him. He wanted to talk, but he didn't know what to say, how long had this man been here? Why was he curled up? What had happened?

"Hey, can you hear me?"

As soon as he spoke the wind in the room stopped abruptly, making him flinch and shuffle back, the curtain falling back down to hang still from where it was hung from.

The man in question slowly lifted his head, his irises a sharp silver colour, blank but scary expression on his face. His hair fell across his forehead as he stared unnervingly at Virgil who slowly stood up, regretting ever walking into this creepy house.

In a flash, the man before him stood up, Virgil almost tripping back as he did.

"I...I don't want any trouble" Virgil fended, pressing up to the wall, trying to clutch it as his wide eyes stared at the man who's expression hadn't changed at all.

Slowly, his arm rose in Virgil's direction, but nothing happened. Confused, Virgil tilted his head, trying to breathe in but quickly realising he couldn't. Clutching his throat, he began to make weird sounds, collapsing to the floor as he tried to suck in oxygen, but he couldn't, there was none! It must be the man! Shit, shit, shit!

Wheezing, he weakly lifted his own arm up, water rising from the ground under them to violently shoot against the man, knocking him to the ground with a thud, the air from his lungs escaping him.

Virgil gasped, coughing and spluttering as he sucked and heaved in air again, on all fours as he let his burning lungs relax, the room silent once more.

Remembering that he was still in the room with the man that tried to kill him, Virgil shot his head up, seeing the man stare at the water that surrounded him, his eyes slowly traveling up to meet Virgil's, but this time they weren't silver, and instead a light brown. "I'm sorry" the man whispered, rushing forward to help him stand but Virgil backed away, water quickly surrounding him as it helped him to stand up. Holding his arms forward, Patton backed away, body shaking as he did.

"I-I don't mean any harm-!"

"Oh, really? Well, you tried to kill me, and I'd say that's pretty harmful" Virgil scoffed, the man whimpering and hugging himself, looking away as Virgil let the water hang around beside him incase he needed to attack again.

"Y-you're powerful too?" The man hiccuped, looking at Virgil, letting the water-controlling man notice the tears that formed, ready to spill down his pale white cheeks.

"Obviously" He murmured, crossing his arms. "So are you" he added, the man nodding slightly and looking down. "I'm Patton" he spoke softly, eyes still glued downwards as he waited for the man opposite him to either leave, try and kill him back, or respond.

"Virgil" the man replied, surprising Patton. Both men caught the others gaze and kept it locked, the room falling into silence, waiting for one of them to speak again. A little time passed, Patton's arms hugging himself further, feeling a little awkward and guilty at his previous actions towards the man who was only trying to help. It wasn't entirely his fault, recently he hasn't been able to control himself due to-

His thoughts were cut short when he noticed the water that spun around Virgil in a defensive stance slowly began to trickle down onto the floor, seeping through the wood until most of it was gone, leaving the wood below them a darker shade, stained with water until it would inevitably dry.

"Come with me" Virgil suggested, retying the sleeves of his jacket around his waist, the purple t-shirt he wore perfect against his tanned skin. Tanned from the days under the sun, Patton presumed. Quickly re-focusing on what he said, Patton's lips parted a little in shock, head cocked to the side as he watched Virgil gesture to him to follow before leaving the room he's been sitting in for a few days.

Finding his legs moved for him, Virgil halted at the top step, but it wasn't intentional. Looking down, he noticed a ring of...cloud? Circling around his waist, stopping him from moving. Turning to question Patton about this, his mouth shut when he stared at the ring of water that swirled around his own waist, his light brown eyes staring at it in awe, a small smile lifting his facial features, Virgil found himself to prefer it to his once solemn look.

"P-" Virgil yelped, nearly tripping as the "cloud ring" tugged him forward, the same happening to Patton until the two were inches before each other, chuckling nervously and watching the two rings form into one.

"I'm confused.." Patton whispered, arms raised a little so they wouldn't brush against the ring, looking up at Virgil to see if he knew what was going on. "Don't look at me" Virgil shrugged, both their eyes focused on the ring until it slowly faded, leaving the two inches from each other, blushing deeply before jumping away, Virgil coughing awkwardly while walking back to the staircase.

"Have you left anything here?" Virgil questioned, already halfway down as Patton hurried after him, deciding to forget about what just happened. Both men squinted as they walked back to the bright land outside the house, waiting until their eyes got used to the sudden light.

"No!" Patton responded, arms held behind his back as he happily walked beside his new friend. "Why do you want me to follow you, Kiddo?" Patton questioned, giggling as Virgil rose an eyebrow, staring at him weirdly.

"Kiddo? I'm probably older than you" he retorted, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"Twenty-two!" Patton giggled, a little bounce in his step, not noticing virgil glance up at him again, scowling a little as his response. "Same" he muttered, making Patton laugh louder, eyes twinkling as he stared at the bright blue sky above them. "Huh, the sky looks a little lonely" Patton mused, a mischievous grin on his face, Virgil noticed and shot him a smirk, watching his arms shoot up towards the sky, clouds slowly forming above them, blocking out the sun.

"You can do that? Oh my god" Virgil moaned, relishing in the feeling of the shade. Patton nodded, smiling happily. "Yep! I can also..." he drifted, Virgil looking over to him, furrowing his eyebrows when he realised he wasn't there. Twirling around in a full circle, he paused when he couldn't see him anywhere.

Did he go crazy? Did he just imagine Patton?

"I'm here!" Patton's voice called, giggling afterwards. Virgil looked up, gasping in shock as he nearly fell to the scolding hot ground below him, widening eyes staring at the man who floated above him, twirling around in the air gently.

"You can fly?!"

"I can fly!" Patton repeated loudly, shooting up into the sky to fly back down, swooping past Virgil to shoot off into the air once more, his adorable giggle could be heard for miles. Virgil found himself thinking he'd never get bored of hearing it...

After Patton landed on the ground beside him, he panted quietly, but with a wide smile nonetheless.

"Oh! And also!" Turning around, his eyes scanned the floor below them, bending down to pick up a small pebble, turning to Virgil once more. "See this pebble?" He questioned, holding it in his palm between them.

"Yeah...?" Virgil responded, drawing out the words as he tried to imagine what he could do.

"Watch" he slowly moved his hand down, but the pebble stayed in the air, floating between them with nothing holding it up.  Holding his arms up in defeat, he carried on walking, exasperated. His powers were so much more cooler than his! Patton laughed in the background.

"That's it! I give up! You're definitely the best element out of all of us!" Virgil declared, Patton flying up beside him to catch up, feet landing on the ground, head tilted in confusion. "Elements?"

Blushing a little, Virgil shrugged, glancing at him. "What? Yeah, elements, fire, wind, earth, water...don't look at me like that!" He huffed, turning away but he couldn't stay "mad" for long - Patton's laugh was infectious.

"No, no! I find it cute!" Patton grinned, complimenting his nickname he created for them all. Virgil only blushed and stayed quiet.

"So, we should probably find the other one, huh?" Patton giggled, referring to Roman. Nodding, Virgil took out his phone, opening it to the article he was reading before, handing it to Patton who took it, taking in the information quickly.

"Two, now" Virgil commented, Patton nodding slowly, handing his phone back.

"Earth....huh" Patton smiled, "he must be a down to earth guy" Patton nudged his elbow into Virgil's side, a wide grin stretched across his lips. Sighing, he shook his head, hiding the small smile that dared to rise on his lips from the stupid pun.

Staring into the distance, Patton remembered back to when Roman admitted his powers to the public, but around that time he wasn't focused on his powers, his was more focused on his life, and Graham. Now, in the span of two years things have crashed around him, leaving him alone, no where to go but to hide away...that's how he found himself here. Had Virgil been in the same position? Lost? No where else to go in life?

If so, it was like destiny that they found each other.

"We need to move faster" Patton spoke up after the two walked in silence for a few minutes, truly getting nowhere with the speed they were walking.

"And work out how to get to Princey and Logan" Virgil added, sighing out a little as his eyes caught sight of the clouds hanging above them, hiding them from the sun.

"Princey?" Patton giggled, watching Virgil blush again. "You like your nicknames, huh?" The child-like man commented, sending him a grin and laughing when he turned his head away, muttering something under his breath.

"Well" Patton carried on, facing forward once more. "The first town we come across should have people with phones" he explained, Virgil slowly catching onto what he was implying, breath catching in his throat. "All we have to so is use our powers, and wait for the two to show up!" Wincing, Virgil scratched his neck, peeking up at Patton through his bangs that hung over his eyes, spotting the determined expression he wore. He wasn't kidding.

Turning forward, Virgil chewed his lip harshly, imagining revealing his powers, all the attention on him, people chasing after him for some answers, for pictures, for autographs, he wouldn't be able to handle it but...if he didn't do it now, when would he? He couldn't save lives while keeping this a secret.

Straightening his posture, he stopped moving, Patton stopping too to see what was up.

"Fine, I guess that's the only way" he sighed, letting go of his abused lip, eyes staring along the road they were walking on for what seemed like forever. "Are you sure, Kiddo?" Patton spoke softly, taking a small step forward, only for Virgil to walk back a little, nodding quickly. "Yeah, you fly, I have my own way...first sign of life, we meet on this road, got it?" Patton nodded, smiling reassuringly at Virgil before tilting his head up, shooting off into the air, following the direction of the road.

Tensing his body, Virgil felt himself falling, turning into water droplets that all moved together to form a puddle that skimmed across the road at high speeds. It was actually kind of amusing to watch for on-lookers, a blob of water shooting across the ground, as if a magnet being dragged along by another, stronger one.

Even at the speed the two elements were traveling in, it still took an hour to see any sign of life, but when they did Virgil paused, turning back into a human again, eyes scanning over the town they came across. He could see some people leaving their houses to get into cars and travel to wherever they were going, indicating it was a big town - thankfully.

Beside him, Patton landed on the ground, fixing his hair that was brushed back from the wind that pushed against him in the air as he flew, still wearing his bright, happy smile. Virgil guessed that was his usual expression - still having many questions as to why Patton was in that building, and why he nearly killed him. But, he decided it would be best to ask later, just incase he turns on him because of it.

"Ready?" Virgil sighed, finally pulling his jacket off his waist and onto his body, hood covering his head. Patton rubbed his shoulder reassuringly for a few seconds, both men feeling tingles shoot down their arms as he did.

"Yep! Are you?" Nodding, Virgil was first to start walking, Patton skipping along beside him until they reached the town, stepping onto the pavement so they wouldn't be hit by any of the cars traveling along the road.

"So, what should we do? Wait until we can save somebody?" Patton offered, but as his eyes scanned the houses that lined both sides, he couldn't see any sort of danger, and assumed nothing would really go wrong today...it might even take a few days before they would have to use their powers to save someone's life.

"That'll take too long" Virgil dismissed, taking a left at a turning, staring at the town square.

"I have an idea, follow my lead, alright?" Virgil turned to Patton, waiting until he nodded before walking quickly over to the fountain in the middle of the town, leaning over the side and grimacing at the green muck lying at the bottom of the blue-coloured stone, obviously the fountain hasn't worked in awhile.

"Won't find any water in there" someone commented as they walked by Virgil, the man didn't respond, not caring about talking to anyone as of yet. Looking around, he noticed a water pump off to the right, some people filling up buckets of water with it.

"Pat-..." Virgil turned around, spotting his friend sitting on the ground with a few kids, making flower crowns while they all laughed happily. Groaning, Virgil marched over, raising his eyebrow at him, arms crossed. Although Patton acted like an adorable child, Virgil couldn't deny, they had work to do, and needed to get their powers out there while the square was bustling with people, as in right now.

"Oh, sorry Virgie!" Patton giggled, waving goodbye to the kids as he jumped up, ignoring the weird look Virgil gave him from the nickname. "So, what shall we do?"

Standing in front of the fountain, Virgil explained his plan, Patton nodding and grinning happily at the idea. As more and more people came by, buying and selling stuff at the stalls that opened, Virgil stood in front of the pump, looking at Patton over his shoulder. The man was sitting on the edge of the fountain, waiting for Virgil's sign.

Breathing in and out deeply, he stood behind the pump, leaning on the top of it.

"Kid, are ya getting water, or what?" A tall, gruff man huffed out, making Virgil flinch and stare up at him.

"Yeah, yeah..." he replied dismissively, holding his hand under the tap where the water came from. He could tell people in the line were getting agitated, but that only meant more people would be surprised and shocked. Closing his eyes, he waited until he felt water droplets splash against his hand, and when he heard gasps from around him, he looked at Patton and nodded.

Quickly, the bubbly wind controlling man  stood up and flew to the top of the fountain, floating above it with his arms outstretched to the air, clouds twirling and forming high above, cries of shock filling up the square, phones being tugged out of pockets, recording the phenomenal occurrence that was happening before them.

As Patton made clouds while flying in the air, Virgil followed the water trail as it floated through the air from the pump, swirling around the fountain while also pushing inside of it, water spurting from the fish's mouths like the fountain once did, a smirk resting on Virgil's face as people backed away, phones out, whispering to each other.

The water picked him up and he waited in the air beside Patton, smirking at the man who giggled, spinning around in a circle, arms outstretched in opposite directions, sudden fast and heavy gusts of winds shooting around everyone, blowing against buildings that shook at the sudden velocity, random objects from the ground rising into the air.

Virgil watched, finally gazing up at Patton once more.

"No one likes a show off" he quipped jokingly, the water from the pump traveling up into the air after the fountain had gotten enough, twirling around and forming into shapes, some of animals, others of objects from nature, the water creatures running in the air as if they were on land, children pointing up at them, yelling at how cool they were, and how "they wanted one".

Patton giggled, his own powers dying down as he watched in amazement, the two still floating around in the air.

"How long d'you think it'll take them?" Virgil questioned, the two taking a seat on the top of the fountain, Virgil trying his best to ignore the fact most eyes were focused on him and what he was creating. It made him nervous and mess up a little, which was why the water in the air slowly came together to form one water droplet, shooting into the sky to only come back down as light rain.

Patton tilted his head back, opening his mouth to let water splash onto his tongue. "Not long, Kiddo! I'm sure they want to find all of us" Patton replied, not knowing his words affected Virgil. The darkly dressed boy looked off to the side, eyebrows drawing together. He didn't think about that - what if there were more? What if they were...evil?

Suddenly, Virgil and Patton heard the sound of roaring fire, the ground beneath the fountain shaking until some of the old brick were pushed to the side by the sand that rose from under it.

"It's them" Virgil whispered, landing on the ground with Patton.

They were right, Roman and Logan stood opposite them, both of their gazes on the mess that surrounded them.

"Okay, okay!" Roman's voice boomed across the square, everyone slowly quieting down.  "Looks like we've found two more" he smirked, nudging Logan who sent him a blank expression. "You couldn't have made that sentence sound more creepy" he muttered, Virgil hiding a hand over his mouth as he snorted.

Narrowing his eyes, Roman flicked his forehead, yelping in a high pitch as vines shot up from the ground, wrapping around him but not too tightly. Leaving him to struggle, Logan ventured forward to Patton and Virgil who were silently laughing at the scene.

"I apologise about him. I'm Logan, the halfwit behind me -" turning to look at him, Logan pinched the bridge of his nose, wondering why Roman didn't just use his fire powers to burn away the vines. Leaving him to suffer, Logan turned back.

"- is Roman. Believe it or not, he does have fire powers"

"Logan! Stop this!" He screeched, Patton giggled, watching as Logan sighed loudly, emotionally defeated by the fire element. Clicking his fingers, the vines let him go and he fell to the ground in a heap, all of them ignoring the people who watched silently.

Teleporting beside them, Roman glared at Logan, huffing loudly. "Nerd!"

"Prep" Logan fired back, holding the same glare Roman did, but Virgil and Patton could see it wasn't filled with hate, more amusement than anything. Eventually, Roman smiled, ruffling Logan's hair gently before turning to the two new elements they didn't know about before.

"Water and wind! Oh this is exciting!" He clapped his hands, giddily bobbing on his feet. "I know! It's awesome meeting you! I'm Patton and this is Virgil!" Patton introduced, Virgil muttering a 'sup' as he did.

Roman took out his phone from his pocket after it beeped, eyebrows furrowing together as he did. "I need to go...Logan, take them to the base" with that, fire surrounded him and he was gone, leaving two men confused and one unfazed.

"Do not worry, someone is in trouble. Anyway, we should go..." Logan subtly gestured to the people around them. Nodding, Logan led the way as they walked to the edge of the town, people slowly following after them, the humans really infatuated by the elements. Logan and Virgil both hated it, but for different reasons. Virgil despises being centre of attention, while Logan doesn't mind, he just doesn't want his life out there - or stupid rumours spreading. All for drama and news.

As soon as the three were far enough away so no one could hear them, Logan stood with his back towards the town, scanning the two over.

"You seem malnourished. When we get to the base, I advise you to eat and rest, then we shall talk about your powers. You might think you understand them, but it is a lot more complicated than you could imagine" Logan explained, holding his arms behind his back.

Patton glanced at Virgil, silently asking him if he was okay with it.

"Yeah, sure, whatever" he waved off, glancing into the distance. "Just...tell us where to go"

Logan did just that, watching Patton gently hug Virgil before shooting up high into the air, teleporting along with the wind currents to get where he needed to be. Logan looked back at Virgil who had his eyes closed, seemingly concentrating on something. Waiting in silence, Logan checked over his shoulder, spotting that the humans had moved closer.

"That way" Virgil muttered, eyes pointed to the right.

"That way?" Logan repeated, in hopes of getting an explanation.

"The ocean, it's that way..." he explained further, chewing his lip. "Look, I'll take awhile, just...don't wait up" with that, his body turned into a puddle of water, shooting off into the direction he pointed out prior. Logan narrowed his eyes, assuming he had water powers, the only way for him to get around would be through water, teleporting using the ocean.

Although that might cause some issues in the future, Logan shrugged it off, kneeling down to press his hand against the hard floor. It took a few seconds, but a patch quickly turned into sand. Rising up, Logan stood on it and sunk down, appearing on a beach in America. Dusting himself off, he ignored the looks he got from the beach-clothed humans laying on their blankets, walking along the path that outlined the beach until he found some earth, which he then used to teleport to the base.

"Logan!"

Flinching, the earth element spun around, vines protectively growing in front of him as he stared at whoever called his name.

"Ah, Patton" Logan calmed down once realising it was him, noticing how he looked a little ruffled up from the high wind pressure that hit against him as he presumably flew at high speeds.

"Virgil should be here soon, I suspect Roman will be back later - for now, we shall focus on taking care of you. Follow me" Logan explained, nodding his head in the direction of the base, walking across the beaten path, Patton following close behind. The wind element scanned Logan up and down, his clothes - although a little dusty - were smart and professional, unlike Roman who looked like a Disney Prince! He didn't know why Logan would wear such clothing, especially when saving life's - it mustn't be the easiest outfit to get around in, but Patton didn't want to judge, so he ended the train of thought in his head with a final "he looks cute".

Not as cute as Virgil, though, he thought, a smile tugging at his lips as he thought about him. Oh, how the heart could be a cruel mistress, it was broken before, yet it still comes back for more.

Before Logan opened the door, he turned half way to stare at Patton who looked back up at him, straightening his body to look more aware of everything around them. "Before we enter, you must promise to not tell any human about this place - if one finds out, we could get attacked and badly injured - do you understand?" Nodding quickly, Logan gave him a quick once over, upon further notice realising the clothes he was wearing were old and unwashed.

He wondered what had happened to him before they met.

Opening the front door, he let Patton step inside first, smirking a little at the shocked gasp that escaped his parted lips.

"Woah!" He exclaimed, jumping into the air to zoom around the place, stopping for only a few seconds in front of interesting things so he could get a closer look. "This place is awesome!" Logan heard his voice from somewhere deep in the base. He did admit it was a nice place to live, and luckily it was big enough to situate the amount of people living here.

"Patton - come here" Logan called once entering the kitchen, using a vine to catch him in the air before he flew straight into him, sending him an unimpressed look. Apologising quietly with a short giggle, he thanked him after Logan placed him down gently. The wind element watched as Logan took food from the fridge, handing it over to him.

"Eat this, you seem to have not eaten for awhile and I can tell with your power usage - it is becoming more sloppy the more you use it" Logan explained, watching as Patton held the food in the air on it's own so he could tug out his chair, flinching as the food ended up falling onto the mahogany table. "Point proven" Logan added, sitting opposite.

Behind him, a few vines grabbed a glass and filled it up with water, placing it on the table beside Patton's arm, his bright brown eyes staring in awe. The element truly did find all these powers to be extraordinary - especially Virgil's. Water powers were so awesome! In his opinion.

The two went quiet when they heard the front door open and close. Logan being more cautious slowly stood up, taking a stance so Patton was hidden behind his body, arms risen in an attack position. They waited in complete silence, listening to the footsteps that neared the kitchen, but they both instantly calmed down when they saw Virgil appear round the corner, drenched in water.

Brushing his hair to the side, he held his hand up in a short wave, pointing his other hand at himself to control the water and pull it away from his body, it accumulating into a water blob beside him. "Put it in the sink" Logan gestured to it, also taking out some food from the fridge for the water element. Virgil did as he was told, slumping on the chair beside Patton, scoffing down the food as soon as it was placed in front of him.

"Now" Logan began, intertwining his fingers together to place them on the table, eyes averting from Patton to Virgil and vice versa. "From a young age, Roman was able to figure out emotions control your powers - let a certain emotion over come you, for instance, anger, your powers will feed on that and control you without you realising" Logan explained briefly, a long silence drawing out afterwards. Patton slowly looked up from Logan towards Virgil, both elements coming to the same realisation as soon as Logan said it.

"That's why you almost killed me..." Virgil drifted, staring at the man who controlled the wind. Logan furrowed his eyebrows, about to ask what he meant when Roman came bursting in, panting heavily as if he had ran all the way here. "Bad...bad news" he tripped towards the sink, clumsily turning on the tap, the water shooting from it violently as he sucked some into his mouth, cleaning his dripping chin with his sleeve afterwards.

"What do you mean?" Logan inquired, slowly rising from his chair. Roman spun around, wincing when he realised the other two were here. Dammit, he didn't want to bring them into the fire without any training. They'll get themselves killed!

"There's another one" Roman explained, staring at Logan with a hard expression, knowing Logan understood what he meant. From his phrasing, it was easy to understand this "other one" wasn't as kind as the four currently residing in the kitchen.

"I will get changed" Logan turned and marched towards the door, stopping when Patton called out.

"Wait, what's going on?"

Logan and Roman turned to each other, wondering if they should tell the truth or not. Virgil noticed, and stood up too. "We're apart of the team now...you can't keep secrets"

Roman sighed, dragging a hand through his ruffled up hair. "You explain, I will be down in five" Roman nodded and Logan disappeared upstairs.

Leaning on the table opposite, Roman knew the best thing to do was keep them here, but if they want to go, he couldn't do much in ways of stopping them. If they trapped them, it would crumple any sort of trust they had towards them, even if they explain it's "for their safety"

No one truly takes that statement into account until they're nearly killed.

"Another element, he is in New York, and demanded to speak with us" Roman explained, eyes flicking towards the doorway after Logan reappeared, now he wore flexible black jeans and a thin, black t-shirt. Now Patton realised his other outfit must be his casual.

Who wears such professional clothing as a causal outfit?

...He had better things to think about!
