Make Him Smile - Logan x Patton
Nudge nudge wink wink wank wank

Patton woke up that morning with one goal set in mind:
To make Logan smile
It's never really bothered Patton that Logan had his own way of showing his happiness, like his small eyebrow quirks, or the slight movements of his lips correlating to some sort of smile, or the way his eyes shone with pure emotion as he talked or learned about something new and exciting.
Patton loved Logan's little habits - such as named above ^ - but recently it's concerned the parental aspect that Logan hasn't smiled in the past few months - a full smile, anyway - and even though Logan has been happy in those months, Patton still feels bad he can't make his boyfriend smile, so today he is determined to make Logan smile so hard his cheeks will hurt!
Hopefully.
Changing and quickly making Logan's favourite breakfast, he made small talk with an energetic Roman and tired Virgil as they ate their food, somewhere along the conversation getting into an argument about how much wood is needed to make a house.
Yeah, Patton's confused too.
Glancing at the doorway occasionally, Patton lit up as soon as the logical aspect walked in, heading straight for the coffee machine when Patton stopped him, handing him a warm mug of the caffeine-filled drink Logan loved so much.
"Oh, thank you, love" Logan took the mug and hummed as the heat warmed up his hands, taking a seat beside Patton and quickly devouring the toast smeared in crofters jelly. Blanking out the other two, Patton slowly moved his hand up Logan's shirt to gently scrap his nails against the top of his back, something Logan enjoyed dearly.
The logical aspect leaned back subconsciously, eyes drooping to show he was content, but it still didn't raise a smile on his straight-lined lips. Sighing, Patton smiled himself at his adorable expression, carrying on until he eventually ate all his breakfast and finished his coffee. After Roman and Virgil had left, Patton put the plates in the sink, stopping Logan from leaving by bringing him into a soft and long kiss, gently wrapping his arms around his neck as Logan kissed back, feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
Leaning back, Patton smiled happily while Logan only let the edge of his lip quirk up the slightest bit.
"That was unexpected, but sweet, thank you" Patton giggled, kissing his nose before letting him venture to the living room to read for awhile, Virgil and Roman possibly arguing - civilly - while cuddled up close in the corner of the couch. Sighing, Patton thought of what else he could do for the man he loved, when he suddenly thought of something.
Rushing to his room, he pulled out boxes among boxes, throwing everything everywhere until he finally pulled out a flash light at the bottom from one of the most dusty boxes. Grinning, he clicked his fingers and his room was tidy.
This flash light was a particularly special flash light...
Running back to Logan, he lit up upon seeing he was alone. Although he loved his two sons, he sometimes wanted to be alone with Logan, it might make his quest to make Logan smile easier.
Flicking off the living room light, he plonked beside Logan in the pitch black darkness. "Patton, may I ask what are you doing?" Logan questioned, instinctively wrapping his arm around the adorable side as he snuggled up to Logan, pointing the torch towards the wall and flicking it on.
Instead of the usual yellow and/or white light torches give off, shining against the wall was a child-like interpretation of space. With a soft purple colour, and five pointed stars. It made Patton smile, and Patton knew Logan loved space, so it was sure to get some sort of good reaction. Which, to his utter happiness, it did.
Yet, he didn't smile with his lips, he smiled with his eyes - figuratively - as he stared at the wall, it reflecting against his glasses. "While this is cute, Roman can make space look utterly magnificent in the imagination during the night, if you ever wanted to see space for all it can give and not...a child's toy" he gestured to the torch, not meaning anything bad about it but it stung a little.
Could Roman make him smile with what he could create?
"Oh...I...I will" smiling a little forced, he flicked off the light and turned the main ones back on, head ducked down as he dejectedly walked back to his room, throwing the torch into the bin.
He couldn't let this stop him...he must be able to do something that makes him smile!
He tried and tried, every time ending up back in his room, feeling more defeated after each try.
He wondered if he was truly a good boyfriend if he couldn't even make his boyfriend smile.
After his last attempt, he flopped onto his couch, curling up against a teddy and sighing out softly.
Meanwhile, Roman had passed a upset looking Patton in the hallway, almost instantly knowing what was wrong. Finding Logan busy at work in his room, the royal aspect smiled, twirling his spiny chair around so he was facing the Prince, flinching back at the sudden movement. Glaring at the Prince, he gave him an unimpressed look, tilting his head questioningly.
"Yes?"
"Are you ever going to smile for him! He's tried all day!"
Logan pushed his grip away from his chair, standing up so he was level with the aspect who crossed his arms over his sash, raising an eyebrow expectedly.
"I do not understand what you mean. Nor do I desire to play the pronoun game" Logan quipped back, crossing his own arms. Roman rolled his eyes, dropping his arms and sending him a 'really?' Look, truly stumped at the fact Logan didn't understand what he meant. He was hopeless, wasn't he?
"You, my friend, are clueless! Patton has tried his hardest all day to make you smile! And all he has gotten was a small lip twitch! Can you not possibly do better?" Roman ranted, throwing his arms around dramatically as he explained to Logan what he didn't understand, watching Logan glance away, running the events of that day through his mind, what Roman was saying adding up....
"Ah...thank you for pointing that out. I..really am bad at this, aren't I?" He sighed, glancing at Roman who deflated slightly, giving him a half smile and rubbing his shoulder.
"You'll get better, now...go see if you can make him smile" Logan nodded and quickly left his room, letting Roman go back to Virgil. Knocking on the child-like aspects door, Patton opened up quickly, biting his lip once he saw Logan, shoulders shagging.
"Hey, Logy" he spoke softly, playing with his cat-hoodie sleeves.
"Can we talk?"
Patton gasped silently, thoughts twirling in his mind like a tornado. He guessed he had annoyed Logan with his attempts to make him smile, although it wasn't his intention, Patton knew he could be annoying...he doesn't realise it sometimes, he just hopes Logan won't be too harsh, he didn't think he could handle it right now. Gulping, Patton stood to the side, letting Logan walk past him and sit on his bed, Patton hesitantly sitting beside him.
"Patton, what you have done today..."
Patton winced, waiting for it.
"Thank you"
Gasping inaudibly, Patton stared at him, shocked. Thank you?
"I appreciate what you have done. Roman brought to light the fact you tried to make me smile today, although I did not notice...I apologise, but I don't often...smile in front of people, but that does not mean I do not smile...." he drifted, sitting up further and finally meeting Patton's eyes.
"All I have to do is think about you and..." Logan looked away, a smile breaking out on his face, making Patton's eyes sparkle with delight, leaning forward to tilt his head back, grinning at the sight.
"I smile" he finished, letting Patton lean up to kiss him shortly.
"Awh, Logy!" He giggled, hugging his boyfriend tightly.
"That's okay. You don't have to smile! But you look so adorable!" He giggled giddily.
Logan kept his smile on his face, looking flattered.
"Thank you, Love"
