"You've got this!" Virgils friend, Thomas, smiled reassuringly, rubbing Virgils shoulder in a comforting manner. "Thanks" Virgil replied, pocketing the black velvet box and glancing down at his more formal clothes. "What if he says no?" Virgil voiced his thoughts, Thomas gave him a side hug, frowning. "Rick Astley just came on"

"What?"

"What?"

"Why would he ever say no? He loves you...and he's Patton" Thomas chuckled, lightening the mood. "Yeah...I guess you're right" Virgil sighed, turning to Thomas with anxiety written all over his anxious face. Thomas smiled, hugging him tightly one last time.

"You'll do great"

Meanwhile...

"WHAT IF HE SAYS NO, LOGAN?!" Patton screeched, running around Logan's apartment frantically. Logan sighed, finally shutting his book to focus on his best friend who hadn't stopped yelling for the past hour, he's going to get noise complaints. Someone might even think there was a murder taking place.

"OH GOSH, IS IT TOO SOON?!" Patton worried, somehow suddenly running from the kitchen even if seconds before he ran upstairs.

"Patton, you are in a romantic relationship with virgil, and have been for the past four years. It is not "too soon" as you are worriedly implying-"

"WHAT IF HE GETS ANXIOUS?! WHAT IF HE HAS A PANIC ATTACK!? IT WOULD BE MY FAULT-" Patton cried, Logan groaned and stood up, grasping Pattons arm tightly and stopping the frantic movements from the terrified man. "Patton, listen to me carefully" Logan instructed, turning Patton to face him, staring dead in his wide, worried brown eyes. Nodding slowly, Logan spoke.

"If you scream one more time I will surgically remove your larynx"

"...larynx...?"

"Does not matter" Logan brushed off quickly, removing his hands from Pattons shoulders slowly, once realising he wouldn't run again he stood up straight and crossed his arms, cocking an eyebrow. "Patton, you are never this worried. I understand proposing is a big thing but why would Virgil say no? Even if he is prone to panic attacks his..." he paused, internally cringing and outwardly expressing how much he hated emotions with just his facial expression.  "His love and affection towards you will overpower his bad emotions. He will 100% say yes, you will kiss, finally get married and go on a few month long honeymoon so I can finally have some peace-"

"AW LOGAN YOU'RE THE BEST!" Patton screamed louder than before, temporarily deafening Logan. Stunned, he didn't realise he was in a hug until Patton pulled back, kissing Logan's cheek quickly and dashing to his front door. "I'm going to do it, Logan!" He grinned, filled with euphoria.

"Good luck" Logan called after him, still getting his hearing back.

Patton sprinted home, completely forgetting he drove to Logan's. Falling up the drive and scuffing his hands he ignored it for now, clumsily unlocking the door and bursting in, listening intently to the quiet apartment. "Angel?" He called, closing the door and chewing his lip.

Must be at Thomas's still, Patton thought. He sat on the couch, spamming Logan's phone while he waited for Virgil to arrive.

Speaking of, Thomas pulled up next to Virgils and Pattons house, Virgil anxiously shaking in his seat. Thomas leaned over and hugged him once more, calming him down a small bit. "It'll be okay, I promise. And - he won't - but if he does say no, just call me and we can spend the entire day eating ice cream and watching your favourite Disney movies, okay?" Virgil smiled slightly at his closest friend, silently appreciating how caring Thomas was.

Understand the silent love, Thomas waited until Virgil was ready, not pushing him to leave. "I don't see his car, he might be at Logan's..." Virgil trailed off, eyes glued to the street ahead. Thomas chuckled, noticing the text he got from Logan, all it said was: HELP

"You wait here, I'll go check" Virgil nodded and slowly climbed out of the car, staring up at the house he was sharing with Patton, a smile forming when memories suddenly flew through his mind, the most prominent one being when they first moved in.

"Virgil, I'm so excited!" Patton exclaimed, clinging onto Virgil as the younger man dragged his boyfriend and suitcase up the drive. "So am I" Virgil replied, even if he may not sound it, he was just as excited as Patton, but definitely way more nervous. Before, he lived with his parents, so moving out was both joyous and terrifying.

He felt free yet unprotected.

But with Patton, he felt like he could conquer the world.

Smiling at the bubbly man Virgil placed the suitcase by the front door and hugged Patton tightly, whispering a quiet 'I love you' into his ear. Patton giggled, "I love you, too!" He hugged back, smiling happily.

"I have advice" Logan spoke up, breaking the two love birds apart and unlocking the front door. "Lo, we...kinda wanted to do that" Virgil sighed, "What? Unlock the door? I assure you in the future you can open and close this door whenever it pleases you" he rambled, looking at the latch-thing on the doorframe and tapping it softly.

While he unscrewed it and used larger screws to put it back on, Virgil and Patton explored the house even though they had prior,  it felt different...

It was...their house.

"Verge?"

"Huh?"

Thomas smiled, he had gotten out of the car to stand beside Virgil after he went quiet for a few moments. "I'll never forget the day Logan fitted our door so nobody could break in" he chuckled, clarifying what he was thinking off. Thomas laughed, remembering when Logan did it for his own house.

"I'll also never forget the looks you two give each other" he added, winking. Thomas blushed, scratching his neck. Virgil was taking away the attention from himself, knowing the more he thought of the proposal the more he would worry and fret.

"See you soon" Thomas chuckled, getting back in his car. "Have fun with Logan" Virgil saluted, walking up his drive with hands stuffed in pockets. Blushing deeper, Thomas laughed quietly and drove away.

Unlocking the door Virgil glanced inside, hearing the noise of the iPhone keyboard taps hurriedly tapping away. Virgil smiled, knowing it was Patton. Silently closing the door Virgil peaked inside the living room, spotting the love of his life texting- spamming Logan.

His chuckle made Patton jump but he didn't get time to apologise before Patton dragged him to the couch, sitting him down. "I have something to ask you!" Patton spoke, taking a seat bedside Virgil who suddenly became very nervous. "Heh...so do I" Virgil mumbled.

"Well...lets do it at the same time" Patton offered, hand on the pocket holding the box which held the ring. Virgil nodded, silently doing his breathing technique to calm himself down. "Ready?" Patton smiled, Virgil nodded and hid the box in his sleeve, turning to face Patton completely.

"I love you" they both said at the same time, blushing and giggling after.

"And I thought now would be the best time..." they carried on, Virgil biting his lip while Patton fumbled with the box behind his back.

"Will you marry me?"

They asked at the exact same time, like it was coordinated, or planned before hand. They held the box's towards each other, eyes widening upon realising what just happened. Patton instantly burst into happy tears, laughing while covering his mouth.

Virgil just sat in shock, tears welling in his own eyes.

"Wow...we" Virgil breathed, looking down. "That's weird" Patton giggled, lifting his head up and kissing him deeply. "Yes" he murmured, pulling back ever so slightly.

"I-Yes! Yes t-to you, too" he blushed crimson, hiding his face. Patton laughed at how adorable his fiancé was, sliding the ring that fit perfectly onto his shaking finger, kissing the back of his hand afterwards.

"I couldn't describe how much I love you right now..." Patton whispered, cupping Virgils face and cleaning the tears away. This only set him off again and he was shaking too much to put his ring on Patton. They hugged for what seemed like hours, Virgil finally managing to delicately put the ring onto Patton, sharing a kiss with said man afterwards.

"I love you" they whispered, Virgil grinned.

"Jinx..."
