"Are you ready?" Roman smiled, reaching over to take Cleo's hand who smiled in his direction, linking their fingers together. "Yes" Logan replied, Alice linked her arm with Logan's, fixing his hair a bit. "Perfect, as always" she commented, tapping his nose with a soft giggle. Logan sent her a smile, the doorbell catching his attention.

They all waited for the door to open so they could grab their picnic from Logan's Mom and head out to the woods not too far away. Roman assumed his own Mom would be here, as she is best friends with Logan's.

"Hello!" Logan's Mother grinned, quickly hugging her son and his girlfriend tightly. "Salutations, Mother" Logan greeted, Alice waved shyly, standing closer to Logan as she did. "Aw, absolutely adorable" she commented, turning to Roman and Cleo with the same smile. "Lovely to see you two, again. How is everything?"

Cleo combed her long hair back before replying, squeezing Roman's hand. "It's perfect, five month anniversary soon" she winked at Alice who shook her head, turning away so no one would see her blush.

"Young love" Logan's Mother sighed, quickly ushering them in. "I'll get the basket, you wait here, oh! And Roman, your Mother is here" she added, quickly dashing off to the kitchen. "What a surprise" Roman faked shock, laughing along with the others. As they waited, Roman leaned on the wall, which resulted in Cleo leaning her back against his chest, sighing out.

"Hurry upppp" she quietly urged, smiling as Roman brushed her hair behind her ear. "Patience is a virtue, my Love" he whispered, wrapping his arms around her waist, hugging her close. She only sighed, relishing in the feeling of warmth.

Alice turned to Logan, wearing her soft smile. "Logan?" She dragged out quietly, brushing her hand up his arm. He knew what this meant, and opened his arms to hug her, which she gladly accepted. They only waited a few more minutes until both parents came back, cooing at the sight. "You hurry up now, we don't want you coming back late" Roman's Mother rushed, handing Roman the picnic basket. "Thank you!" They called, quickly leaving the house and down the road.

"Did she pack apples? Apples are great!" Cleo groaned, salivating at the thought. Roman snorted, holding the basket on the bent of his arm, Cleo's obsession with apples can get a little worrying from time to time. But, she's never visited by the doctor.

"Cleo, Roman's Mother knows you like you were her child, of course she packed apples"  Alice commented, swinging her hand that was clasped with Logan's back and forth gently, the smarter man smiling at the gesture, adjusting his glasses.

It was a short walk to the woods, and only five minutes passed until they reached their usual spot. "Finally!" Cleo sighed, pulling Alice away from Logan to hug her close. "I would say our acting is improving" Logan commented, sitting beside Roman who kissed his cheek, happy to be affectionate with his boyfriend again.

"It's not hard, just act all...lovey dovey" Cleo replied, Alice sitting between her legs, back against her chest as Cleo softly pecked her soft skin across her neck, giggles erupting from the girl.

"Cleo, three apples, just for you" Roman threw them over, Cleo catching them all with a wide grin, eating the bright red one instantly and moaning in delight. "Fuck" she whispered, eating more. Alice giggled, thanking Logan who passed her a sandwich. "Five month anniversary, where do you plan on going?" Roman started conversation, pulling Logan closer by coiling an arm around his waist, butterflies erupting in his stomach, what usually happened when Roman was affectionate.

"It's a surprise" Cleo grinned, staring at Alice who blushed, hiding her face.

They spent the rest of the afternoon talking, laughing and being as affectionate as they could, seeing as they spent the entire day acting as "friends" towards their actual partners. Unfortunately, they all had homophobic parents, well Alice lived with her aunt who wasn't exactly kind towards homosexuality, either. It sucked, but when they met each other they devised a plan, as long as they "dated" they could actually hang out with their true love without raising suspicion. Besides, girls could get away with hugging and cuddling, unfortunate for the boys but they didn't mind so much. Sleepovers were always great.

After they finished the food, cuddled and kissed, they decided it was time to go back.

"I love you" Roman murmured to Logan, pressing kisses down his neck. Logan hummed, enjoying the feeling as much as he could, arms wrapped around the taller man's shoulders. "I love you, too" Logan replied, Roman leaning back to stare into his eyes with a sad smile. "Do not feel sad, tomorrow night we are having a sleepover. Remember? If you want...we can cuddle all night" Logan offered sheepishly, glancing away with a light blush.

Roman smiled, leaning in to kiss him gently.

"Did you think I could stop myself from cuddling you, anyway?" Logan smiled, meeting his gaze. "You can barely control yourself, but I was only offering to make you feel better"

"It worked"

Meanwhile...

"Why can't we be open?" Alice whispered into Cleo's shoulder, hugging each other tightly. "I would hate to live on the streets, only a few more years and we can move in together, with the boys of course" Cleo reassured, rubbing her back.

Alice leaned back, pouting. "But I want to live with you now" she whined, Cleo sighed happily and kissed her lips. "So do I, but be patient. Like Roman said, it's a virtue" Alice giggled, cupping Cleo's face to share another kiss.

"I love you" Alice mumbled against her skin, feeling Cleo smile. "I love you more"

"Impossible..."

"Anything's possible"

After they shared more hugs and kisses, they finally split apart but only went back to their "straight relationship" after leaving the woods.

They stopped outside of Roman's house, Cleo had been invited over for dinner with Roman's family, much like Alice with Logan. "See you tomorrow, babe" Cleo murmured as she hugged Alice, from a strangers point of view it wouldn't look strange at all, but if Roman and Logan hugged...

They lived in a very close minded, old-fashioned town, if anyone saw two men hug it would be an unforgivable crime.

"Will you be okay, Gumdrop?" Roman quietly questioned Logan who nodded, badly wanting to hug the man he loved. "I shall be fine. What about you?" Roman shrugged, gently kicking the floor. "Around you, I'm always okay" Roman grinned at his cheesy line, laughing as Logan rolled his eyes.

Exchanging a few more goodbyes, they split ways, Roman and Cleo heading up the path to his house, while Logan and Alice carried on down the road to Logan's.

At the sleepover....

"Mistletoe? It's not even Christmas!" Roman argued, standing with Cleo in the doorway, mistletoe above their heads. "I know, but we haven't seen a kiss yet!" Roman's Mother replied, standing with Logan's Mom, too. They both grinned, waiting in anticipation. Logan and Alice watched on from the couch, frowning.

Where they really going to do it? They wouldn't count it as cheating, but they would still hate it.

Roman sighed, turning to Cleo who looked up at him, uncertainty swimming in her eyes.

Cupping her cheek, Roman leaned down. "I can't" she whispered, turning her head slightly. "Neither can I, but follow my lead" Roman whispered back, tilting his head so he blocked Cleo's, moving in such a way it looked like they were kissing, cheers erupting from the Mothers.

"Are you okay?" Roman whispered, lips inches from Cleo's. She nodded, smiling. "Thank you"

They leaned back, flashing smiles at the pair.

"Come on, we should go upstairs" Cleo chuckled, motioning Logan and Alice over. Roman took down the mistletoe, throwing it onto the desk in the hallway, they all disappeared upstairs in a rush, making sure no mistletoe hung above them as they did.

"Why would they do that?" Roman asked himself, him the first to enter the bedroom.

"Don't worry about it, we didn't kiss" Cleo commented, smiling at Alice who did a double take. "You didn't?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow. "It was fake, I'm only ever going to kiss you" Cleo replied, Alice smiling once more, sharing a short, loved filled kiss.

Roman watched on, turning to Logan who took off his tie. "Gumdrop" Roman whined, catching his attention. "Kiss me" he frowned, puppy dog eyes on show. Logan rolled his eyes, leaning up to kiss him. It was meant to be short, but Roman cupped his jaw, holding him there for longer, not that he minded.

"Okay, get a room!" Cleo called, flopping onto the bed. Roman and Logan split apart, laughing. "Whatever you say~!" Roman jokingly pulled Logan to the attached bathroom, making him flush and pull back.

"No, not yet"

"Yet!?" Roman announced, smirking at the blush darkening across his skin.

"Well, it is bound to happen eventually..."

"Logan!" Alice and Cleo yelled, covering their heads with pillows. Logan sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, Roman hugging him from behind. "How I hate you sometimes..." Logan muttered, not able to contain a smile as Roman kissed along his jaw. "How I love you all the time"

As to their Mothers request, the "couples" couldn't sleep together, meaning Alice and Cleo in one bed, Logan and Roman in the other. It proved to be perfect, as this meant they could cuddle their actual partners in peace.

Cleo lifted an arm, inviting Alice to shuffle against her chest, head resting in her neck, arms loosely around her body. "You're adorable" Cleo murmured into her hair that only reached her shoulders. Alice giggled, mumbling a quiet 'so are you'.

Meanwhile, Roman let Logan lay against his chest, combing a hand through his hair.

"I have noticed your chest is more comfortable than any pillow I have ever slept on" Logan commented, nuzzling his head against Roman's bare chest. The taller man hummed, smiling widely. "I have noticed your hair is softer than puppies fur" Roman grinned, closing his eyes, content with cuddling Logan.

"Will we be walked in on?" Cleo called from her bed.

"Logan helped me build a lock, we're alllll good" Roman replied back, sounding a little seductive as he spoke.

"Roman, go be horny somewhere else!"

He gasped. "Rude!"
