CHRISTMAS TOMORROW I'M GETTING A PILLOW

"Yep! I'll be home soon!" Patton smiled, talking into the phone.

"Okay, Stay safe!"

"Will do, Kiddo!"

"I'm not your-" Patton hung up and pocketed his phone, humming quietly while skipping down the dark, empty street. He had just come from a quick trip to the shop for some food they forgot to buy prior.

"Shit" he heard someone mutter. Turning his head he saw a man bending down to pick up food that fell from the now broken back. Frowning, Patton looked both ways before walking over. He bent down and picked up some food, watching the man with glasses and tie intently.

"Are you alright?" Patton asked. The man flinched and looked up, staring for a few seconds at the helpful stranger. "Yes, I am fine" he replied, picking up the rest of the food and standing up.

He looked at the flimsy bag in his hand and scoffed, muttering how companies make terrible plastic bags.

"I can help you! You couldn't possibly carry all of this back to your house alone" Patton offered, smiling reassuringly.

"Are you sure? You have a family that must be worried, correct?" Patton shrugged softly, putting the food he held into his own bag. "They'll be fine! It won't take long, anyway" Patton giggled, putting his feet together. "Lead the way, Simon!"

"My name is Logan" the man replied, a bit confused. "And I'm Patton! But I was thinking you could be like Simon from 'Simon says!...y'know, Simon says follow me..." Patton tried, going quieter towards the end of the sentence.

"Um...sure" Logan said, not really sure how to reply. The two walked in silence, Patton balancing on the curb most of the time. Finally making it to Logan's house the smartly dressed man unlocked the door, revealing the dark inside.

"It smells amazing!" Patton gushed, breathing in the house's sent through his nose. Logan hummed, flicking on the light and taking off his hat, gloves and scarf. "No decorations?" Patton questioned, walking through the hallway to the kitchen.

"Why would I bother?" Logan replied, taking his food out from Pattons bag and placing it on the counter. Patton smiled at a few animal ornaments, turning to Logan once he got a good look around.

"Because it's Christmas!"

"My family put up decorations as a quote on quote "battle" against our next door neighbour. I am not battling with anyone nor do I have decorations. Besides, I do not see the point, you take them down a month later, anyway" Logan explained, putting food in his fridge.

"Oh" Patton replied, leaning on the counter. "Are you visiting your family tomorrow?" He wondered, Logan reached up to a top cupboard as he replied. "No. I would not be acknowledged"

"What do you mean?"

Logan sighed, turning to the very nosy stranger. "I was not planned, neither was I dubbed a "happy mistake" once I was old enough to move my parents wanted nothing more with me. And, if you are going to ask, no, I do not celebrate Christmas with anyone. In fact, I have spent the past twelve Christmas' alone. As I plan to do tomorrow" he confirmed, ushering Patton down the hallway.

"Thank you for your help-"

"D'you want to spend Christmas alone?"

"Pardon?"

Patton smiled, "'cus if you don't you can come spend it with me and my friends! They won't mind, the more the merrier!" Patton threw his arms up, grinning widely. He felt bad for Logan, no one should spend Christmas alone.

Logan adjusted his glasses, glancing away. "Well I...-"

"Come on! Pleaaaaase!" Patton begged, reaching out to hold his hand. Logan glanced down, twitching his mouth left to right.

"I feel I would be a burden-"

"Don't be silly! You can stay over tonight or I can pick you up tomorrow!"

"Why are you so kind to me? You barely know me-"

"I know enough" Patton smiled cutely. "If you really want to be alone-"

"No, I-I...I shall come along"

"Sleepover?"

"I suppose..." Patton grinned, noticing the small smile he was desperately trying to hide. "Aw, your smile is adorable!" He cooed, watching the man blush and turn away. Giggling, Patton sent him to pack some clothes while he waited downstairs.

He quickly sent a text to Thomas about his whereabouts and how someone else will be joining their Christmas.

"Are you ready?" Patton smiled once he spotted Logan walking down the stairs, a bag on his back. The man nodded, brushing his hair to the side. "Thank you" Logan said quietly. "This is a very kind offering. I thought I would never spend a Christmas with someone again" Logan admitted, glancing away.

Suddenly, Patton wrapped him in a warm hug, rubbing his back before pulling away. "You're welcome, Logan! You will never be alone on Christmas again!"

After a long walk the two made it to the house, Patton knocked on the door and bobbed on his feet patiently. "Everyone will love you" Patton reassured him, noticing his slightly nervous expression.

"I hope" Logan replied. The door suddenly opened and a man wearing silk red and gold pyjamas stood in the doorway, grinning at Patton.

"You have arrived! And brought along a cute friend" he winked, gesturing the two inside. Logan blushed while Patton laughed, wrapping his arm around Logan's shoulders. "Roman, this is Logan! Logan, this is Roman!" Patton introduced. Roman bowed down dramatically, shaking his gloved hand.

"Pleasure to meet you" he announced, walking through the decorated house to the living room where the others resided.

"You go all out this time of year" Logan commented, smiling at the homely feeling the orange-y glowing lights gave off.

"Yup! It's mostly Roman who does everything, but we all help!" Patton showed him the guest room and let him change into more comfortable clothes while waiting downstairs with the others.

"Is he nice?" Romans boyfriend, Virgil, mumbled, eating a cookie. Patton nodded quickly, "Yes! But he doesn't seem to have a good relationship with his family"

"That's probably why he's alone" Thomas piped up, pausing his game on his laptop. Patton nodded, turning to see Logan walking towards the living room door, clutching the end of his tie.

"Hi! Come in!" Logan did so but slowly, standing close to Patton as he looked at the two he hasn't met yet.

"That's Virgil, say hi kiddo!"

"Sup" he nodded, glancing away from his phone.

"Hi, I'm Thomas!"

"Salutations" Logan replied lowly. He was shy. Patton awed, smiling at his pink cheeks. "Would you like anything?"

"Well I have not had dinner yet but-"

"Dinner coming up!" Patton called, dashing to the kitchen. Logan stood awkwardly by the door, keeping his eyes away from the other humans in the room. "You may sit" Roman chuckled, wrapping an arm around Virgil.

"Oh, um, yes. Thank you" Logan nodded, sitting on the furthest seat from everyone. "Excited for tomorrow?" Thomas smiled, closing his laptop. "I suppose. I do not have any gifts, though"

"That's fine!" Thomas reassured, "we weren't expecting any"

"Speak for yourself- Ow!" Roman exclaimed, rubbing his side Virgil just elbowed. "S'fine, Logan, we have enough anyway" Virgil motioned to the tree packed with presents, a lot from Patton.

Speaking of the bubbly man he ran into the room, jumping on the couch next to Logan. "Food ready yet?" Virgil mumbled, leaning his head on Romans shoulder.

"Ten minutes!"

"Ughhh" he groaned. Logan stifled a chuckle, listening to the conversation that started up. It was mostly about Christmas and a few other mundane things. Even if Logan was shy at that point it felt nice to not be alone, by now he would be watching a silly Christmas movie while eating microwaved food. Alone.

But now...he felt happy, something that doesn't usually happen over the Christmas period.

"You okay?" Patton asked gently, the other three conversing in the background. "Me? Yes. I am just...happy" Patton smiled, giving him a side hug.

"I'm glad"

Later that night after a laughter filled dinner they all went to bed, Patton peeked his head into Logan's room, spotting his new friend fast asleep on the bed. Patton quietly snuck out of the house and walked through town to a shop that was surprisingly still open.

"Hi" Patton smiled at the man behind the till. He did a little wave, looking back at the newspaper clasped in his hand.

Patton went around, picking up things he thought Logan would like. Ten minutes later he bought a whole box full of stuff for the smarter man, quickly paying for them and rushing home.

Putting the gifts in one big box he wrapped it up and placed it at the back of the tree with a smile.

"I hope he likes it" Patton whispered, finally getting some sleep.

"IT'S CHRISTMAS!" Roman screamed, running down the hallway while banging on everyone's door. He slid down the banister and jumped onto the couch, waiting patiently for the others while bouncing up and down.

Next came Patton and the two burst into conversation, Thomas came through with Logan who was wearing dark blue pyjamas with small cartoon dogs that were wearing ties! Patton thought it was the cutest thing he had ever seen.

Patting the spot next to him Logan sat down, smiling slightly at Patton. "Is Virgil still asleep?" Roman sighed, "I'll be right back!" He announced, running up the stairs and coming back with a sleeping Virgil in his arms.

Placing his boyfriend down comfortably he woke him up by kissing his face a few times. "Ro...m'...piss off" he pushed his face away, everyone else chuckled and he sat bolt up, glaring at the taller man.

"You carried me down here?!"

Roman kissed him sweetly, his bad mood vanishing.

Logan watched everyone open their presents, he wasn't expecting to get one himself but it was fine, watching the others happy faces was enough for him. "There is one more!" Roman announced, crawling under the tree and grabbing a rather large box, pushing it out.

"For...Logan!"

Logan's head snapped up, mouth hanging open. "Huh?"

"I might've done a bit of late night shopping" Patton admitted, giggling while pushing the box towards him.

"It is very dangerous to go out at night" Logan commented, still in awe at the fact he was given a gift.

"It was worth it to see your bright smile!" Logan clapped a hand over his mouth, blushing crimson.

"Open it already! The anticipation!" Roman called, rolling around on the floor. Logan apologised quickly and neatly undid the bow and paper, pulling off the lid and gasping at the gifts.

"Oh, Patton" he spoke, picking up a necktie delicately. "I have tried to find a necktie like this for years..." Patton did a secret fist-pump in the back, looking all giddy and proud of himself.

Logan loved every single gift in the box, clasping his hands over his face once he was done "are you okay?" Thomas asked concerned, watching Logan's shoulders shake. "Logan? Logan!? What's wrong?"

"N-Nothing" he sniffed, cleaning his eyes. "This is overwhelming, is all" he choked, crying a bit more.

Roman handed him a box of tissues while Patton gave him a hug, rubbing his back comfortingly. "This must be new to him" Thomas commented, also comforting him along with Patton.

"This is so pure" Roman chuckled, Virgil silently agreed.

After that, Logan never spent a Christmas alone again.
