Bucket List - Patton x Logan
—
Patton was cleaning his room when he came across a box hidden behind a few things. Confused, he pulled it out and opened it up, it was filled with a bunch of things from the past which made him smile brightly, he plucked out a few things and let himself fall into deep nostalgia.
Finally, he pulled out the last item which was a small, metal bucket. Why did he have this? He thought, he can't remember it linking to anything....
He saw a DVD inside and pulled it out, placing the bucket next to his leg he read the words scribbled on the dusty thing.
Bucket list!
Patton gasped, now he remembered! He tried to do this but he...forgot, actually he didn't think he's done anything on the list.
He placed the DVD into the player and watched his past self explain everything on the list, Patton smiled and re-watched it, writing everything down.
Once the video stopped he read the first thing on the list.
1. Be surrounded by fifty dogs!
Patton grinned and jumped up, putting everything back apart from the bucket and list he skipped off to the imagination.
It was easy to make all fifty dogs appear and for the next hour he played and cuddled with each and every one of them.
"Bye, puppies!" He waved, they barked and all ran of happily.
Patton made a collar appear in his hand and placed it in the bucket.
2. Eat three cookies!
"Three..." he whispered, a grin forming on his face. He bounced to the kitchen and grabbed the hidden cookie jar, pulling out three and eating them happily, giggling cutely every so often.
Once he finished he made a plastic cookie appear in the box.
3. Buy Logan a teddy because he's the only one who doesn't have one!!
Patton gasped, suddenly remembering that little fact. He explained to Thomas what he was doing and his host agreed to go to the shop with him to buy the teddy.
—
"Logy Bear!" Patton called, skipping into Logans room. "Greetings, Patton" he replied absentmindedly, writing on some paper. Patton smiled and placed the teddy on his bed, letting Logan carry on with his work.
He made a small teddy appear in the bucket and went through a few more things on the list easily.
6. Let Virgil put makeup on me....or yourself!
Patton grinned, bounding off to Virgils room.
"Hiya, Kiddo!" Patton waved, sitting on his bed. Virgil looked up at his Dad and smiled, "Sup" he mumbled, sitting up on the bed.
"You know you have amazing make up skills?!" He asked, his eyes alight. Virgil nodded, already guessing what he was going to ask.
"Maybe you could put make up on me?" Patton asked in a smaller voice, a little bashful.
"Sure..." he paused, "you're not...feeling, y'know, self conscious, are you?"
"Hmm? Oh, no! Not at all" Patton smiled reassuringly. "Promise?"
Patton held out his pinky, "pinky promise!"
Virgil nodded and grabbed his makeup, sitting in front of Patton he went to work, he didn't give Patton the look he usually went for but something that would suit him.
"And...done" Virgil said, adding a few little touches.
Patton beamed, dashing over to the mirror, Virgil watched, worried he wouldn't like it. When he heard a gasp he tensed, "Kiddo! I love it!" He yelled happily, clapping his hands.
"You're so talented!" He complimented, hugging him tightly.
"Heh...thanks" Virgil mumbled awkwardly, loosely hugging him back. "Before I go..." Patton mumbled, "you don't wear makeup because you're self conscious, do you?" He frowned, concern shining in his loving eyes.
"I used to but Princeys helping me, thanks for the concern, though" Patton nodded and smiled again, kissing his sons cheek he left the room.
He did a bunch more things, adding more and more to the bucket. Hours later he finally reached the last request.
50. Ask Logan out on a date!
Pattons breath hitched, even if he made this long ago he still felt feelings for the stoic trait, in fact they had only grown. He hesitantly looked around, gripping the paper tightly.
"Now or never...I guess" he whispered, slowly walking to Logans room. Instead of knocking and walking in he only knocked and waited, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
The door opened and Logan peered out, happily surprised to see Patton. "What do you need, Patton?" He asked.
Patton didn't reply, biting his lip. Logan rose his eyebrow slowly, dropping his arms from their previous crossed position.
"Are you...okay?"
"Hmm? Me? Oh, I'm perfectly fine! Yep! Completely!" He grinned, laughing nervously. Logan, obviously, didn't believe him.
"Patton, tell me what is wrong" he insisted, he wasn't usually like this - if it was anyone else he would suggest talking to someone who knew emotions, but he felt differently with Patton, he wanted to help Patton himself.
Patton breathed in deeply, "promise not to hate me?"
"Patton, that is illogical - how could I hate you?"
Pattons heart warmed at this, "I...have a bucket list" he began, pulling out the crumpled paper.
"And I've done everything apart from the last one..." he carried on, unfolding the paper as he spoke.
Handing it to Logan he said, "read the last one..."
Logan scanned over the others before his eyes landed at the bottom, Patton watched them widen behind his glasses, his lips parting.
"You...have romantic feelings for me?"
Patton nodded, "I-...for awhile, do you-....like me back? You don't have to! Please don't feel pressured, I'm sorry!" He worried, chewing his lip and playing with the sleeve to his cat hoodie.
Logan smiled a small smile which surprised Patton, "I suppose I do feel different towards you, with Roman or Virgil or even Thomas it is more of a...friend-type feeling, but with you..." Logan paused and nodded, "yes - I do like you more" he cleared his throat, "romantically, of course"
Pattons mouth which was shaped like an 'o' slowly formed into a wide stretched grin, his whole mood changed into one of delight and he bounced in pure happiness, "really?!" He asked, once Logan nodded he screeched, holding a hand over his mouth.
"Thank you, Logy!" He nearly cried but held back the tears, "Can I have a hug?"
"Why not" Logan opened his arms and Patton crashed into the hug, wrapping his arms under his arms, nearly choking the poor side. Logan felt his shoulders shake slightly - a clear sign that Patton was crying.
He sniffled, pulling back. Smiling with happy tears pouring down his face.
"Thank you...so much, Logy, I was so scared..." he whispered, Logan smiled nodding his head a bit.
"No need to be scared, now...care to explain what is in the bucket?" Patton nodded and the two spent time together going over everything, Logan listening to everything he said.
After, Patton placed the bucket in his room and went back to Logan to cuddle.
When he left a small, red heart appeared in the bucket.
