Patton and Virgil were having an argument

A bad one.

Of course, it started of small and they didn't really care, but when the insults started flying they both began shouting Roman became nervous, he watched from the couch he was once laying on, now sitting up and summoning Logan.

"What is going on?" Logan questioned, watching Virgil and Patton scream their heads off at each other.

"I don't know, I can't split them up!" Roman replied, it didn't take long before Roman was covering his ears and Logan was dragging him away, knowing he didn't like conflict between people he was close to.

Logan decided it would be best if Patton and Virgil let out their anger, hid away in their rooms for a few hours and make up to each other. But that's not what happened. After the argument which left them both furious Virgil locked himself in his room and Patton let out his anger in the imagination.

His anger was heightened because of his close connection with emotions, sometimes he couldn't control himself and he doesn't want to hurt anybody.

But he will hurt any tree he finds by punching it repeatedly while crying.

Some tears from pain in his hands, others from the pain in his heart.

Weeks passed and Roman was worried sick, he knew Virgil hadn't left his room in that time and Patton was on the verge of depression, none of them could face each other and Roman asked Logan and Thomas for advice but they didn't know what to do either.

Once another week had passed Roman had enough, he ordered Logan to bring Patton into the living room while he would get Virgil.

Knocking on the dark wooden door he didn't hear a reply, he wasn't worried that Virgil might've died from starvation or dehydration as eating was an option for the sides, they can choose if they wish to eat, - they can only die from a few things and those two were not on the list. 

"Virgil! Please!" Roman begged, leaning on the door. The emotional turmoil he's been through really wearing him out, but he knew Virgil and Patton was going through much worse so he didn't complain or whine, this is about them, not him.

"Fuck off, Roman" He heard the scratchy voice of Virgil croak out, this isn't how he usually sounds but he hasn't spoken in ages and from the lack of water it really dries out his throat.

Roman tried the doorknob but it was locked, sighing in anger he bent down and lock picked the door, it took him awhile but as soon as he heard a click he barged in.

Virgil flinched, not expecting anyone to be able to enter. He didn't move from his spot on this bed which he had been laying in for those weeks.

Roman opened his mouth to speak but a gag fell out instead, he covered his nose and wrinkled his face up.

"Have you not had a shower? - no, that's not the point" Roman walked to his bed and saw the blankets and mattress had moulded into the shape of Virgil.

"Virgil" Roman frowned, tugging the blanket away. He gasped, covering his mouth, he looked very skinny and pale. Bags under his eyes indicated he hasn't slept in days and dried tear stains on his cheeks made Romans heart break.

He looked horrible and Roman felt immense guilt that he had not tried to help sooner.

He picked up the light side in his arms, frowning when he saw the bones in his arms and his hollow cheeks, his eyes were closed but he was awake.

Roman carried him to the living room and Logan lifted his head, eyes widening.

"Is he okay?" He asked, making Patton look up and gasp. Roman laid him on the couch, he didn't move.

"I-I don't know.." Roman whispered.

Patton dashed to his side, scanning over his face, he rested a hand on his cheek and shook him slightly.

"Virgil?" He whispered, tears springing in his eyes. "Angel? Please wake up" he begged in a quiet voice.

Virgil stirred, rolling onto his back and rubbing his stinging eyes. Patton sniffled and slowly stood up, taking a few steps back and bowing his head.

This was his fault...

Roman helped him sit up and he coughed into his arm, letting his bangs fall over his closed eyes. "Wednesday Addams?"

"Royal pain" Virgil muttered back, smiling a tiny smile. Roman smiled back and looked at Patton who had sat back down on the couch and held his head in his hands.

"You two need to apologise" Logan spoke up, "this is not healthy" He added, frowning and glancing between the two.

Virgil finally saw Patton and his breath hitched...wait, he thought Patton telling him to wake up was a dream...was it really him?

"Please, whatever the argument was about it's over now - I cannot bare to see you two in so much pain!" Roman wailed, Virgil whacked his arm and Roman fell back on the couch, crying loudly and dramatically.

Virgil rolled his eyes and stood up, his legs felt like jelly as he stumbled to Patton. Ugh, he was hungry.

He sat down next to the Dad like trait and didn't know what to say, he watched Logan repeatedly roll his eyes at Romans behaviour but his eyes snapped to Patton when he heard a quiet sob.

"I'm sorry" He whispered, moving his hands he stared into Virgils eyes, "I didn't mean to hurt you, it's my fault"

Virgil shook his head, "don't blame yourself, it was...both of our faults, I...still love you, please forgive me?"

Patton nodded and hesitantly opened his arms slightly, Virgil rushed into his hug and the two cried onto each others shoulders. Patton was worried, his body felt very thin.

"I'm sorry" Virgil whispered, "I'm sorry too" Patton whispered back, hugging each other tighter.

"Angel? How much have you eaten?"

"...don't get mad....but...nothing" Patton gasped and picked his Angel up, dashing to the kitchen.

Roman was still crying, not realising that Patton and Virgil had made up. "Roman!" Logan yelled, an idea popped to mind to shut him up, leaning down he pressed a kiss to Romans lips.

This definitely shut him up.

Roman stared at him as he leaned back, then a smirk creeped onto his lips. "I will cry more often if that's how you shut me up"

"I hate you"
