Show Choir - Virgil x Logan

Trigger warning: bullies

"I don't know how you managed to convince me to do this" Virgil grumbled, looking up at the door which led to where the show choir members hung out at. Patton grinned at his best friend, wrapping an arm around his shoulders.

"I'm glad I did! You have an amazing voice, Verge!" Virgil only rolled his eyes and sighed, giving his only friend a smile.

"Whatever, I'll be the worst"

"Oh sshh! Don't say that! You'll do great!" Patton opened the door and walked in, dragging a reluctant Virgil behind him.

Everyone in the room turned to stare, they all knew a new member was joining but none of them expected it to be Virgil. Roman, one of Pattons closer friends, walked up first, grinning while holding his arms behind his back.

"Greetings, Patton! Is this the new member?" He asked, his voice loud and confident. Oh why had Virgil let Patton drag him here? He would much rather be hanging out alone in the library, listening to MCR or something.

"Yep!" Patton said, popping the P and pushing Virgil in the room more, he fiddled with his sleeve and looked at the ground like it was the most interesting thing.

"Virgil? Or as everyone calls you, 'the emo loner'" Roman stated, Virgil scowled quietly and Patton narrowed his eyes slightly. "Roman, that is no way to speak to him! Apologise!"

"But-"

"Now" - Patton has always been like this, he acted like a happy child most of the time but knew when to be strict, like he was an actual Dad.

Roman sighed, "I'm sorry, silent boy" he shrugged and spun around, heading to his friend Thomas.

"I'm sorry kiddo, he's usually like this...but he'll warm up to you!"

"I'm sure" Virgil rolled his eyes and sighed, looking at Patton. "Look, Pat-"

"Virgil, correct?" Virgil heard a voice, he turned his head slowly and stared at the boy in front of him. He had glasses and seemed to be the only boy in the entire school wearing correct uniform.

"Uh..yeah" Virgil blushed, why was he blushing?!

The boy smiled and stuck his hand out, "I am Logan, it's nice to have a new member, I hope we can become friends" Virgil shook his hand with a shy smile, mumbling how he'd want to become friends with him also.

Leaving him be Logan went to his friends while Virgil turned to Patton, "you didn't tell me you had cute members!" He angrily whispered/yelled. Patton only giggled and dragged Virgil over to his friends.

For the rest of the fifteen minutes Virgil kept to himself, saying hi to a few people who greeted him. If he wasn't looking at Patton when Patton talked to him he was staring at the boy - Logan, he had a weird fascination towards him for some reason, they had only just met.

Sighing quietly Virgil thought that joining the choir might not be so bad if Logan was here - and Patton, of course.

--

Virgil dashed down the corridor, coming to a stop outside of the choir members room, he pushed open the door and basically fell into the room, slamming the door behind him. His chest was heaving and he sprinted to the other side of the room, hiding under a table and behind a few random instruments.

"Virgil? What's wrong?" Patton asked in concern but when the door slammed open everyone in the room averted their eyes to see the three main bullies of the school, all of them looked pissed.

"Have you seen that no good for nothing piece of shit emo?" One of them snarled, the kids in the room gave each other nervous looks.

"Actually" Logan piped up, "its good for nothing"

"What?"

"You said no good for nothing when the correct term is good for nothi-" The boy grabbed Logan by his shirt and pulled him off of the ground.

"Shut up, nerd" he growled, "have you seen him?"

"Yes" Logan replied simply, "he ran down the corridor"

"If we find out you were lying, you are dead"

"Twenty-five years in prison?" Logan leaned in close to his face, "you wouldn't last"

The bully dropped Logan onto the floor, kicked his leg and warned the others before he and his friends left. "Don't drop the soap!" Logan called before they slammed the door shut.

Virgil stayed under the table, visibly shaking in terror. Logan got up and winced at the pain in his leg but ignored it to sit down by the table. "Virgil? Are you alright?"

Virgil nodded and crawled to Logan, terrified. "What happened to get them so mad?" Someone in the room asked, Virgil didn't reply and let Logan help him up, accepting a hug from Patton.

"I will in form the teacher when he arrives, he seems to be the only teacher in this school that would actually do anything" Logan told Virgil in a soft voice.

"Why?" Virgil whispered, Logan gave him a confused look.

"Why did you lie to them? They'll kill you, Logan!"

Logan shook his head with a smirk, "they might hurt me but kill me? I know how to protect myself"

"Why didn't you tell them I was here?"

"And let you get hurt?" Logan said, he really wanted to say and let my precious Virgil get hurt but he didn't want to embarrass himself or Virgil in front of everyone.

"Thank you" Virgil smiled and Logan smiled back. "My pleasure"

--

A few months later it was after a performance by the choir when Logan caught the bullies pinning Virgil to a wall. The smart and logical thing would be to get a teacher to help but that would mean Virgil would get hurt and Logan did not want that.

Rushing to his aid Logan grabbed the bullies shirt, pulled him down and swung his fist hard into the side of his face, hitting his temple and knocking him out. The two others stared in surprise and ran away.

Virgil fell to the ground, a bruise already forming on the side of his face when the bully had hit him before Logan got there. Logan bent down and checked his face, softly trailing his thumb against the soft skin.

Virgil blushed, gritting his teeth in slight pain. "Are you okay?" Logan whispered, feeling the need to be quiet.

"Yeah - I'm fine" Virgil mumbled, breathing in deeply. Logan also noticed a small cut on Virgils lip and frowned, the hate for the bullies growing stronger.

"Maybe you could kiss it better" Virgil joked, not expecting Logan to lean in and softly press his lips against his cheek. His face burned and Logan looked at his lips, some blood trailing down his chin.

"What about this?" He whispered, pressing his thumb gently on the cut and making Virgil hiss quietly.

"Can I kiss this, too?"

Virgil smiled slightly, ignoring the throbbing pain in his face. "Smooth" he chuckled.

Logan smiled and kissed him softly, not putting too much pressure on his cut. When he pulled back Virgil saw the blood spread on his lip and just below.

"You can punch" Virgil commented, letting Logan help him up. Logan shrugged, "I suddenly felt stronger when it meant protecting you"

Virgil blushed again and let Logan take him to the nurses office, the bullies got suspended for a few days but they didn't really go after Virgil again, if they did Logan knew how to teach them a lesson.

Literally, when they got put into detention the teachers let Logan teach them.

Logan smiled, he loved torturing people with boring lessons.
