No (Prinxiety)
"For the last time, no!" Virgil slammed his cup on the counter, feeling a sinking pit in his stomach when Patton flinched.
"Please! I promise you won't regret it!" Patton pleaded, walking towards him hesitantly.
"No! Please just don't tell him!" Anxiety pleaded, looking at Patton with a hopeless expression.
"But! Ok, fine," Patton said, grumbling angrily, crossing his arms in a sulking manner.
"Thank you, Patton," Anxiety said, walking out of the kitchen and heading to his room.
"Patton, come here," Roman whispered from the doorway of the kitchen, guiding him to the living room.
"Did you tell him?" Roman asked in a whisper, obviously panicked.
"What? No! He had something he wanted to tell me. Please just go ask him out already!" Patton pleaded, wanting so badly for the two to get together.
"What? Are you crazy? No!" Roman exclaimed, a blush rising to his face.
"Yes I am! Go. Ask. Him. Out!" Patton said slowly.
"Why? Did he say he liked me?" Roman asked, lowering his voice.
"I can't tell you," Patton said, hoping he'd get the message.
Roman just smirked and walked out of the room towards Anxiety, leaving a very happy Patton to go to Logan's room to "disrupt" Logan's reading and tell him the big news.
"Virgil, can we talk?" Roman asked, knocking on the door.
"Did Patton tell you anything?" Anxiety asked, panic in his voice.
"No, he didn't tell me anything, should he have?" Roman asked innocently.
"No," Anxiety said, opening the door.
"Anxiety, I-I have to tell you something," Roman said, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. "What?" Anxiety asked, walking over to his bed and sitting down, fidgeting with the pen next to him.
"I was wondering if you would like to," Roman stepped closer, "Be in a roman-tic relationship with me?" Roman asked with a cheesy grin.
Anxiety stayed quiet, trying to understand what happened.
"Oh, um, ok then, I'm sorry for bothering you. Uhh, I have to go," Roman trailed off, blushing.
"No, wait!" Anxiety exclaimed, grabbing hold of Roman's wrist. They stayed close together, the air heavy and hard to breathe in around them.
"You, you made a self-pun?" Anxiety asked, looking at the spot where their arms met.
"I, umm. Yes, I did. I, uh, I thought is was clever," Roman admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck with his other hand, also staring at the spot their arms met.
Anxiety chuckled, "You've been hanging out with Patton too much," was all he said before sliding his hand down from Roman's wrist and into Roman's actual palm.
"I suppose I have," Roman said, blushing when he realized they were holding hands. Anxiety and Roman looked up into each other's eyes, slowly moving closer till their foreheads were touching.
"So is that a yes?" Roman asked, face as red as his sash. Anxiety didn't answer, but instead leaned closer so their lips met, which Roman was quick to respond to. This went on for what felt like years before Anxiety answered, "Yes."
(Or did he say yes? I mean, look at the title!)
