Ignoramus (Logically)
One mistake.
All it takes it one mistake and no one takes you seriously anymore.
Logan grimminced as he looked in the mirror, his necktie was on tight enough to choke him but he didn't care, at least he knows his body was still functioning, unlike his mind which was spiraling out of control.
Logan slumped agaist the wall, letting a wave of emotions wash over him. He loathed them, how they made his heart metaphorically drop to his stomach and how it made his whole body feel numb. He'd be better of trying to figure out the possibility of other life forms than to cry over the fact that no one cares about what you have to say.
He's no one's favorite character, except for Joan. Everyone else was obsessing over Virgil, or squealing over Patton. Heck, a lot of people were swooning over Roman more than they were caring about what Logan had to say.
They never listen to him unless they need to, otherwise he's just comedic relief.
Not even Patton, the most caring person in the mind wants to be in his company sometimes.
"Logan is uptight and can't take a joke! Patton's puns are hilarious!"
One comment dismisses him.
"During Logan's rap Virgil had his hoodie up, lol!"
One of his proudest moments taken away by Virgil's hood.
Logan continued to scroll though the comments, seeing very few about him, and even if they were, it was almost never good.
A knock on the door, "Logan, kiddo! Come on, lunch is ready!"
Logan sighed, opening the door to eat, but instead of him going out, Patton came in.
Patton had two bowls of soup in his hands, setting one on the desk and the other one on the night stand near the couch.
"So, how have you been holding up?" Patton asked suddenly, sitting down on the couch and picking up his spoon.
"Fine," Logan says dully, dipping his spoon in and out of the soup, "Why are you in here and not eating with the others?"
"Well, I figured I'd eat with you! You're always eating alone and it upsets me a lot," Patton frowned, "Don't you ever get lonely just sitting here by yourself?"
Logan tensed, his spoon dropping into the soup completely. He grimmanced, "Not really" he lied, "it gives me time to think." Logan felt his stomach do flops and the back of his eyes sting. He was not going to cry in front of Patton.
Patton took notice of this and set his soup to the side, "You ok, Lo?"
"Fine," he choked out, trying to collected himself before the tears fell. His throat burning.
"No, you're not." Patton frowned, kneeling besides him and placing his hand on Logan's knee.
The action made Logan's knee tingle and his face heat up. He didn't know why but he suddenly felt more flustered. Tears began to drip down his face and he automatically wrapped his arms around Patton, who hugged him immediately.
"I-I don't know what's, what's wrong with me," he sobs.
"Nothing!" Patton cried out, grabbing hold of Logan's shoulders firmly, "Nothing's wrong with you! You're just feeling sad right now, and normally people cry when they're sad!"
Patton paused for a moment, "When was the last time you cried?"
Logan's face heats up, "17 years ago, I believe."
"Oh honey," Patton sighs sympathetically, "I'm going to go get some tissues and other things and we are going to sit here and cry, you shouldn't bottle your feelings like that! It's terrible for you!"
Logan nods as Patton scambles away to get the things. Logan's face is burning, Patton had just called him "honey". Just the mere memory of it makes Logan's heart skip a beat.
Moments later Patton returns with a large supply of things and lays them out on the bed.
"Now," he sighs, dropping a handful of blankets onto the bed, "Tell me everything."
After hours of just sitting their talking, crying, and even some cuddling Logan felt much better.
How Logan ended up laying half- asleep on Patton's chest while Patton drew comforting circles on his back he didn't know, because the night went by with tears blurring his vision.
He layed there and just took in the moment and Patton's warmth.
Maybe people did listen, maybe they did care. Maybe, Patton would listen and be his "friend."
The thought of being around Patton constantly made Logan's body tingle and a small smile make its way on his face.
"Watcha smiling about?" Patton asked in a hush voice, a sleepy smile on his face.
Logan looked up and made eye contact with Patton, his face heating up.
"You," Logan admited.
"Me?" Patton asked, raising a brow at him.
"Thinking about how nice it would be to be around you more, you really aren't just a goofy pun-making dork. You can be very kind and," Logan rambles slowly trailed off as their lips got closer.
A short sweet kiss was shared, and Logan was dazed. He looked up at Patton who had a shy smile on his face.
"I, uh, I'm" Logan was lost for words, which was a very rare situation considering how many dictionaries he's binge read.
Patton chuckled deeply and snuggled next to him, and with Patton's warmth against him he finally felt hopeful again. Maybe he was more than just facts that he conveniently knew depending on the video or comedic effect, but someone who someone like Patton could care about.
Or maybe this was a one-time thing. Maybe it was just to make Logan feel better.
Logan tried to push the thoughts away and sleep. He felt Patton shift besides him with a small smile on his face. Logan smiled and nearly melted at the sight, pushing hair out of Patton's face.
He shifted so they were both in a comfy position, and eventually, fell asleep.
(Wow that was not angsty at all, maybe tad bit in the beginning. In my defense, I'm writing this on a phone and was kind of in a rush.)
