Thomas and Patton reached the entrance of the forest where there were two signs.

"Let's see... oh, one says 'DO NOT ENTER AT ALL COSTS' and the other says 'Dangerous'." Patton pointed to the signs as he read them. "I'm going with the one that says 'Dangerous'..."

"Are you suuuure about that...?" Asked a voice. Then someone appeared on a tree branch, appearing to be hanging out. Literally. He smiled wider than a natural human being, which made Thomas back up a bit. He had a purple shaded hoodie with cat ears, eyeshadow under his eyes, purple jeans, black sneakers, and a big purple shaded cat tail.

"Hey, Virge! Why are you here?" Patton raised his eyebrow.

"I'm just... hanging around," Virgil said as he appeared to fall, but his legs hung onto the branch.

"Aren't you going to get lightheaded?" Patton questioned.

"Nah, don't worry about it." Virgil looked at Thomas.

"Oh, right. Thomas, this is Virgil. He's the Cheshire Cat." Patton gestured to Virgil.

"Sup?" Virgil said.

"Uh..." Thomas was still looking at the big smile on Virgil's face.

"Right, Thomas hasn't been here in a long time-"

"Since when have I been here?" Thomas asked, looking at Patton.

Patton's smile wavered and tears stung his eyes. "I- I can't- I'll meet you at Logan's house!"

Patton hopped away in the direction that the sign said 'Not to go at all costs'.

"Patton, wait!" Thomas yelled.

"You shouldn't have done that," Virgil whispered in Thomas' ear. Thomas backed up to notice that the Cheshire Cat was now standing on his feet. Virgil frowned and crossed his arms. "I've never frowned like this in a while. I've heard about the prophecy with you in it."

Virgil lifted one of Thomas' arms up and then let go of it.

"You aren't quite strong enough..." Virgil muttered. "Not yet, at least."

"What do I have to do to defeat the Jabberwocky and the King's brother?" Thomas asked. Then Virgil's frown grew into a wide grin.

"I'm not telling you. You have to find that out by yourself. Farewell now, Thomas..." Virgil climbed up the tree and gave Thomas a last wide grin before vanishing.

"But... which way do I go?" Thomas asked. "I guess I'll follow Patton."

Thomas looked at the sign again.

'DO NOT ENTER AT ALL COSTS' It read. Thomas gulped and slowly walked down the path that Patton went.

Virgil appeared again and watched as Thomas went in the direction Patton went.

"Since Thomas has arrived here, everything in Wonderland has gotten hectic... hahaha, I guess it's time to follow the danger where it walks." Virgil smiled widely and vanished again, following Thomas closely.
