Chapter 10
"They were best friends when they were younger. That was until she came along..." Logan muttered.
"She?" Thomas asked.
"The Princess of Imaginica," Patton said.
"Roman was set to marry her, but Virgil wasn't so fond of the idea," Logan said. "Virgil argued with Roman until one day... Roman said he hated Virgil."
"Was it true?" Thomas questioned.
"No, but Virgil doesn't see that it wasn't the truth." Logan looked at Virgil. "He's stubborn. Very stubborn."
"I'm going to talk to him," Thomas said, standing up.
"Are you sure?" Patton asked.
"Yep." Thomas walked over to Virgil. "Hey."
"What do you want?" Virgil asked. Thomas sat down next to him. Virgil looked at him, suspiciously.
"So, about you and Roman..." Thomas said.
"Logan told you, didn't he?" Virgil sighed. Thomas nodded. "What about me and Roman?"
"My father told me something a little before he passed. He said 'If someone lies, there's always a sign'."
"What does that mean?"
"It means... that if someone lies, there's always a sign that they are lying." Thomas looked at Virgil.
Virgil stayed silent. Thomas stood up.
"I have to go train some more, talk to you later," Thomas said. Virgil only nodded a bit while looking at Roman.
Thomas walked back over to Logan and Patton. They saw Virgil stand up and walk over to Roman.
"Well... you actually did it," Logan said.
"All I had to do was tell him one of my dad's old sayings." Thomas smiled and looked at the two.
Roman and Virgil talked for a few minutes. Virgil laughed and lightly punched Roman's arm. They smiled at each other and then looking away.
Patton squealed a bit and said something about his ship, whatever that meant.
