Proper shoemakers have their own business and that is where they sell their items from. Says who? Well says some fine leaders of our economic world one could say. Massey Craig was a Shoemaker, also a tailor and his wife could make garments for both men and women. They operated the first store in Audrey and helped name the pristine lake shore name of Audrey Lane. Besides their store Massey and Mika utilized their sunken Attic and crafted an area out of ruin.

The top of the Craig Mansion was supposed to be a Pool one enriched from the nearby NORDS which propelled natural hot springs. This was to be tied into the original build, but it didn't occur. So with this unique space a sunken attic hideaway was created. All the jewels of the town were made here.

Mika Craig once known as Mika Sim was rescued from the Asian Trade by her dotting husband Massey. With her she brought textiles, gold, silk and precious stones which helped build and acquire the entrepreneurship. The times were not kind to a White man Marrying an Asian lady, so that's why they helped found Audrey. Her space was in the sunken part of the Attic, this is where she would make her clothing pieces and they would sell at prime dollar.

Massey Craig was a fifth-generation cattle farmer and his family owns a few towns on Connors Island. He left his family to be with Mika and build his own empire. He would make his shoes out of the leather from horses and some cow hide. Upper right of the attic was his working station. Together they sometimes had the servants bring up their meals in the servant hidden elevator and they would dine under the stairwell leading to their romantic hideaway bunk. The two of them acted as love-lorn teenagers for one another even in their twenties.

The space today kind of resembles what it did back then. Jimmy has his bed up there still with the windows that peer into the sky. As mentioned, every night a clear view of the stars parading around him. His arts station where he creates is where Mika's clothing workshop is/was. He doesn't touch most of her things, but occasionally utilizes some of the fabrics. Massey no longer made shoes after a period, and as Basie would tell him he went into more land ownership like his family did.

In fact, all of Audrey was apparently owned by Massey & Mika Craig.

From the beams Jimmy hung many outdoor plants and also created his own art of plants and such and hung them from the beams as well. Now the whole of the upper structure had hanging plants. He had his own Tv area with blankets and snacks a very modern take in such a relic of a room. Many movies he liked and constantly wrote stories and invented scenarios to entertain him while Mum and Dad were not around.

There was even the Keaton Batman Poster hanging in this area of make believe. Besides cartoons he was excited for this movie and the Beta! Many nights Jimmy would be found asleep in this area and the servants would have to bring him down to his quarters for proper rest.

                                                            This room of pure beauty and inspiration never lacked sun and the plantsnever died.
