princey had invited me over for breakfast with his parents, it went well honestly. i wasn't a nervous wreck, after all princey kept holding my hand under the table to calm me down. we were going to go pick up the new vk's today, and he said he had a special announcement before we left. he took me out to the patio terrace thing that all castles seem to have.

"why the long face?" princey asked as he wrapped his arm around my waist. i was looking out to the isle, i didn't even notice i was frowning. "just thinking, i mean i hope uma is there when we go pick the kids up. i miss her." i won't shut up about how much i miss her until i see her, i need to apologize about the cotillion. "val, uma's not on the isle. after the cotillion she went into hiding, but she didn't return to the isle. i mean, how would she get past the barrier anyways?" what? i mean if she's not on the isle where can she be? in auradon? or is she just somewhere in the ocean?

"oh... i just thought she was on the isle again. i mean, she's a powerful witch i thought she could get through it without problem. i mean i used a random spell and i got through. oh man you probably think i'm so stupid, this whole time i figured she was on the isle." he laughed which didn't make me feel any better. he turned me around and kissed my forehead, i love forehead kisses.

"val you're not stupid, you're just very innocent. how about we head down to join the others before we have to leave. it's almost time." i looked up at him, again he's not drastically taller than me, and planted a kiss on his lips. a quick kiss because we don't know if his parents can see us. "you're a cutie. let's go."

there was a crowd already waiting for us, a band began to play as we made our way to the center. there was a cute little stage set up and a microphone. was princey giving a speech before we left? of course he was, it's what a king should do after all. i wonder how's he's handling it all, he's too young to be a king if i'm being honest.all those eyes on him, i know i could never handle that well. his parents should've waited till he was either 18 or 21.

"bippity-boppity, one-two, one-two. can everyone hear me?" fairy godmother asked the crowd, they all got quite real quick because they obviously respect her and not because she's the most powerful fae around. she handed the microphone over to princey and he let go of my hand to speak to the crowd.

"thank you fairy godmother. what's up auradon! thank you so much for coming out to welcome our new arrivals, they'll be here pretty soon. it worked out pretty well the first time with our first bunch." yeah especially for you princey. okay and maybe me too but that doesn't matter, he's the one that said it first.

"val this is the exact spot we first met not so long ago. i feel like i've known you my whole life. did i mention that i'm in love with you?" he's such a sap, it's adorable. i love it, and i love him of course. he walked over to me again and got down on one knee? now he's taking out a small box. oh my gods don't tell me he's going to propose.

"i... princey what are you doing?" i feel super nervous now, no please don't propose. "val this isn't what you think, it's a promise ring. i know we're too young for this to be a proposal, but don't worry. this ring is my promise to you that i will always love you, and that i won't let you get away. i promise that in the future, when we're ready, you'll be my king." oh thank the gods, if he was asking for my hand in marriage i would have to say no.

"oh okay, you scared me for a second. okay yeah i accept your promise ring? i don't know what i'm supposed to say here..." everyone's staring and i don't like it. he put the ring on my finger and the crowd began cheering again. he stood up and kissed my hand before kissing me. i'm starting to calm down a bit now, a bit. he pulled away and smiled at the crowd before we walked down to see our friends. audrey pulled me into a huge hug, is a promise ring as important as an engagement ring? they all seem so excited for something so small.

"just imagine, one day you'll be king valentin of auradon. you have to let me plan the wedding, you just have to." woah no ones talking about marriage yet auds. "how about we finish high school before we start thinking about marriage? marriage is the last thing on my mind right now." she rolled her eyes and brought me over to princey and the other vk's.

"let's do this!" time to go pick up the vk's. audrey and evie shook me a bit as they both seemed equally as excited as me. the limo approached us, this was really happening. "i'll see ya in a few." i said to audrey before getting in. i saw her join the crowd as we all finished getting in. jay was driving us again and carlos was up front with him, evie and mal were sitting next to each other, and i was next to my princey.

soon we were outside the barrier, i could see all the families gathered around waiting for us. the barrier opened up and they all backed away as they let the car drive up. as soon as jay parked we all rushed out the doors, we didn't want to waste anytime. jay and carlos went to help the smee twins, mal went for celia and evie went for dizzy. i of course went for gil, and princey was with me of course. to my surprise gaston was there too, and harry too! hopefully he has some kind words for me today...

"remember what i told you son, you bow down to no beast." i made sure princey was behind me, i don't want gaston to start anything after the bad blood between the two families. "i'll miss you too dad." gil handed me his bag as his dad turned around, i guess he didn't want to admit he would miss his son too? harry and gil hugged, which lasted a bit but i don't blame them. they've been together for so long, and now they're being separated. of course it won't be for long though, i hope we'll be back for harry soon too.

"hearts, take care of him." he spoke to me! "of course, always. ready gil?" he kissed harry's cheek before joining princey and i. "go before anyone starts crying." we walked back to the car and i tossed gils bag into the trunk. i saw the others were finishing up their goodbyes too. soon we were all back inside the limo. as jay began to drive the isle people followed us as they waved goodbye. it's like when people go watch a cruise ship leave.

"so what are you most looking forwards to gilly?" i asked him as he and the kids devoured the candy in front of us. they resemble carlos and jay when we were first taken. "well i hope they have food that isn't just fish, i'm like tired of fish." it's funny how on the isle fish is very common and everyone eats it for a low price, in auradon the sea side of the menu is super expensive. "well then you should try pizza when you arrive, you'll love it." princey added taking a piece of chocolate gil offered him.

"um hey, no hard feelings for taking you hostage right? or for what my dad almost did to your dad." he asked though he should've waited until he finished eating. eating with your mouth full is so gross. i grabbed a napkin and gil's face, i felt like a mother as i wiped the chocolate away from his face. but hey that's what friends are for. "oh not all, you were just doing your job. and our parents past is in the past, we're different after all." gil kissed the side of my head, it's how we said thank you between the four of us without actually saying the words.

i don't remember who started it, i think it was harry when we saw him kiss gil like that. he tried to cover it up by saying it meant 'thank you', at first we teased him by doing it to him but after awhile it became normal. yeah they're all a bunch of softies, who would've guessed. "what was that?" princey whispered into my ear, right because he didn't know what it meant. "why? jealous?" i teased, princey really had nothing to worry about. "am not." are too. "if you say so."

soon we were back at auradon, the kids seemed to freeze up a bit as they realized we arrived to their new home, or at least i hope they consider it a home after getting to know it. jay opened the door and we got off before the new vk's.

"please give a huge auradon welcome to our new vk's!" princey said to the crowd. the band began playing and people waved their flags with auradon's colors. we stepped aside and the kids hurried out. first were the twins, celia and dizzy came out hand in hand and then gil. dizzy let out a little squeal and i don't blame her honestly.

"welcome to auradon princes and princess." audrey came up to us and curtsied in front of celia and dizzy which earned her another squeal from dizzy. fairy godmother and princeys parents were right behind her, but they didn't curtsy like audrey did. dizzy and celia quickly let go of each other's hands and stood up straight, i don't know if they were worried about the holding hands thing or if the beast was just that intimidating. i'm sorry, i honestly don't know how to address him. is he beast, adam or is he still under king adam? i mean no one calls princey king ben on a regular basis yet so...

"welcome to auradon, i hope you enjoy your stay here my dears. your guides will show you where you'll be staying, auradon prep, and answer any questions you might have. the doors of wisdom are never shut, but the library hours are from 8am to 11pm. and as you may have heard, i have a little thing about curfew." it's almost summer, who goes to the library during the summer? nerds probably, couldn't be me.

"i'm sure you're all tired of hearing so many welcomes, but i promise this is the last one. welcome, i just hope you see all the wonders auradon has to offer. let's hope you learn from those before you, and hopefully they set a great example for you." he's basically saying, be good or else. and why must we set examples? no one set examples for us when we got here. 

"well you guys ready for the best tour ever?" audrey asked as the adults left. the kids waited for the adults to be out of earshot before letting out their loud 'yes!' "well let's go, but first complimentary tiaras and crowns." well isn't audrey the best.

it's been a week with the vk's here and things have been going great. luckily for them they had to go to school for only one month, not even a whole month actually, we had to go to school for seven months. totally not fair. after being nagged by jay for a week, gil tried out for tourney and fencing. he of course made the teams because he has talent. dizzy tried out for cheerleading, she didn't get in sadly but audrey promised to help her out during the summer. celia hasn't involved herself into any after school extracurricular activities but that's totally fine. the twins are attending a different school as they're still young, i don't know their age but i just know they're not in their teens yet.

mal and i have been hanging out more than i would like too because of our research. we still here the voice calling for us but we ignore it. i still haven't had any nightmares yet, mostly just dreams about princey and i. nothing extreme, just us being cute together. i also tried to paint my hair black, i don't want it to be blue because that meant i had to accept hades was my father. again, i tried. the color wouldn't stick, mal even tried to a hair spell but nothing worked. it's like my hair rejected the dye and the spell. it makes absolutely no sense. i guess my hair is just going to stay blue which sucks. why cant it be like pink or green? some interesting color, no offense evie.

i was currently at cheer practice, and audrey was no where to be seen. how does the captain miss her own practice? i don't know, she hasn't answered my text or calls and practice is almost over. princey told me to meet him at the front of the school, he said he was taking me out to lunch. hopefully not somewhere fancy.

we were finishing up our last few drills when i felt a sudden chill. then the voice came, but it didn't sound like maleficent this time. i don't know who it sounded like, but this wasn't a good thing either way. the voice got louder, and the wind stronger. it felt like a storm was coming, but the forecast said nothing about rain today.

"okay girls, that's enough for today. get somewhere safe before the wind blows us all away." jane joked and the girls all ran to get their stuff. something about this felt familiar but weird at the same time. i made my way to the locker room to change quickly, the whole time thinking about whether if i can get a good view of the isle from the top of the bleachers or not. no i don't think so, but i can from the front of the school. i rushed while changing, and once i finished i grabbed my bag and started running. i had to make sure the worst wasn't happening.

when i got there princey was already there, great because if something bad is happening then he has to alert the people. "hey va-" i ran past him and got closer to where i could actually see the isle. this isn't the best view but it was a view after all. there! i see it, the black smoke... can only i see it or can princey see it this time too? "do you see that too?" i asked him as he came over to me. "yeah, what is that?" oh well at least i'm not imagining things again.

"remember what i told you i heard? the whole, 'the forces of evil will reign down on auradon, the weak will not survive'. it has to do with that, princey it's happening!"
