Third Entry

I had to stow away for a short time in a shadowed and secluded corner so as not to be disturbed by the sisters. Oh god—I think I'm starting to talk like someone from this century. I need to return home soon.

John's journal—sorry again, John—filled me in on everything I need to know. I'm still not 100% about what's coming, but my footing is now more solid.

If I'm remembering correctly, the next major event to happen is the dramatic death of Mina's best friend, Lucy. The men around her will try—and, of course, fail—to save her through countless blood transfusions. Mina and John are both gone from this section of the novel. Had they been a part of it, I wonder if things could have turned out differently for the sweet girl? She had been one of my favorites in the novel.

It's currently the 28 of August, so if my memory is correct, she'll die in September when Dracula takes a more offensive approach with sucking her blood. The poor girl doesn't have much longer to live...
