     SHE WAS scared. She could feel her undead heart beating out of her chest as her eyes swelled with tears.

She could've been alive... She could've done so many extraordinary things... She could've lived. But there she stood, her cold, dead hands pressed against the metal door that she stood on the other side of. She wanted to wake up from this nightmare that she was told would lead her to her paradise on earth.

Her friend wasn't dead, the guy she trusted had a hand in her murder, and her best friend could see him.

Michelle Richards felt like she'd died ten times over. Her mind raced with what felt like a billion questions.

For now, she had to figure out why, how, and what she could do to help Maddie get her body back from the one person who had all the answers.
