This Room

Unknown P.O.V.

We, complete strangers are put into a room for 8 hours everyday. We talk but when we go out of that room, we go back to who we were before. Strangers.

From my time here, I've noticed some things about the other people here with me. They all have a story, atleast from what I see.

The first person wants to blend in. E wants to be popular and wants to be one of the "popular" people. E even does things like get in trouble just to do that and makes stupid comments. E isn't liked that much... E thinks E will become more liked but that's not going the direction E wants it to be. Is E liked? Maybe. Is E liked more? Maybe not. Is E's way of getting people to like E effective? I don't know. I like being myself and this offends and affects me a little. E should please themselves and not change for other people. Maybe that's just how I see it.

V is a silent one. V never talks. Never. V isn't very sociable, obviously. This affects everyone around V in terms of communication. What if there was an emergency? Would V handle this well and finally speak or go on without either of us knowing what V's voice sounds like? I want to let V's voice be heard. Maybe V has anxiety and is nervous to let their opinions and voice be heard. Everyone's voice should be heard and I want to help V's voice be heard. If only V would try.

E doesn't get things done. We get assigned to do things sometimes and most of the time, E just looks likes they aren't trying and isn't caring at all. Does E not like to do work? Does E just want to be free and have no initial to do anything? Does E not see a point in doing these things? Did E go through something that E could care less about the rest of the world? Does E just want to do something else? Unfortunately, I may never know.

R is similar to E. They actually talk frequently, all day actually. Along with another person, but more about that person later. So R actually asks for help sometimes but acts like R doesn't really need it and carries on to R's crazy antics. I think R is just being lazy. Again, they have to try. Everyone in this world has to try. Maybe...maybe they're hurting inside but don't want to show it. Just maybe.

Y doesn't seem to have confidence in themselves. They smile when they make a mistake or when they get a low score. Does Y not want to accomplish anything? Did something happen to them that made them think that they aren't good enough and the only way to get through things is to smile and be happy at their own failure? No one should be happy at someone else's failure, especially their own. Y should strive to improve more than to be happy with their mistakes. I think that they're trying though. At times, I see them trying to not fail so I guess they're getting better.

O tries their best. People make fun of them everyday and I see that it hurts them. No one should be laughed at and judged for who they are, no matter how they look. Why are people these days so judge mental? O stays strong and fights but sometimes has to let it out. They're human too. They break too. It hurts when you try your best but in return, you get insults thrown your way.

N is...well N has a very interesting character. They seem to like catching the attention of others. They seem to want to have someone by their side ALL the time. They can be loud and annoying and...well very...very energetic that they sometimes annoy other people. When something goes wrong for THEM, hell breaks loose, like a minor hell. They get mad at everyone that makes contact, physically and verbally, with them. Other times, they're just sad and don't talk to anyone then suddenly laugh and cry at the same time. Maybe something happened to N to cause them to act like this. Is something going on at home? Is N...ok? Are they...broken? Well, everyone is.

E likes to try but gets pulled into antics. They work hard and try to exceed but laziness can get to you too. E is also accused of many things due to their mischievous and playful behaviour. They might be one of the carefree people in this room. They have an aura around them that shouts easy going and they smile. Frequently. They somehow cheer up anyone they know. They're almost TOO carefree. Are they just hiding the fact that they're broken? But are they even? I mean, they're human too, so they have to be broken, somehow. I'm getting a little dark here but...E is going to break sometime. Or they are, but they don't want to show it. I mean, who wants to admit that they're hurting? Who wants to be a burden to everyone around them? E obviously doesn't want to.

G has been showing signs of...improvement I guess. They used to act like R and E. Joining them in slacking off and thinking that they're better than the rest of the world. G has been working hard. They're actually listening to the people who are talking in front. I see glints of hurt in they're eyes at times. It looks like they are hurt by the words thrown at them. They look insecure. They look hurt. They look...broken. G looks insecure about themselves even if they don't have to. It looks like they're hiding the fact that they're hurt. They're pushing it down. It sucks that the others don't see that G is getting hurt at words thrown at them. Maybe G is too good in hiding their feelings. Well, it didn't really get past me. One day, G is going to burst and they would let everything out. No one can push their feelings down for so long. One of these days, they would break completely.

E has social problems. They don't seem to care about the world around them but I have to guess that they get hurt too. They do get teased at but they don't seem to care. Yet. A person has to care one of these days. No matter how hard you try to push away the words, they will always find a way to get to you, to break you.

T seems to have this selfish and conceited attitude. They want to get what they want. They want to be the only one to be noticed. They want to show off the things they have. They follow what they want and ONLY what they want. What made them like this? What shaped them to be like this. Will they ever change? Well, they do seem to break down easily. Over reacting to a teeny tiny conflict. I hope they won't break THAT easily...

S seems to hide things. Like the fact that they are hurt. They have talked to me before. Told me that other people think they're fake. Plastic. That they're just a pretty face that can't do anything right. Well, I don't believe that. I don't think they're plastic but you can't change how other people think, can you? Yeah, S seems to hide some things and act fake but a person is a person and isn't a Barbie doll made out of plastic. S is broken, like everyone here. S is a person, like everyone else.

B is... ignored. They act like they fit in then they shy away. But do they shy away, or get pushed away? B seems to like being around people at times but I can see that they want to be alone as well. B is very confusing. They want to be noticed but don't at the same time. They hide when they know trouble is near, when they know they're in trouble. They act like they know something, are interested in sonething, even if they aren't, just to fit in. To make others like them. They're like a shadow around everyone else. They have a lot of problems. They seem to be...tired. Sick. Broken. Huh. Well, B is a person as well. Who isn't in the world we're living in?

R seems to be liked. A funny, smart one. Someone who also doesn't seem to be sad at all. When something happens, calm neutral face. When there's an oppurtunity and need to be funny, they can be hilarious. They seem.. perfect? Hm. No. That's not it. They're just... hiding. Hiding to not let anyone know how they feel. Yeah, they're silly and calm and good at most things but is that what R wants? Is that what R is? Somebody perfect? Hah! No one is perfect. But no one isn't broken, whether you can clearly see it or you have to dig deeper than deep.

O gets called names a lot. They're also called a screw up a lot of times as well. Yeah, things can be easy at times but it's not the same case for all people. They shouldn't be judged for their intellectual skills. Not everyone grew up the same and learned the same things. Not all people look at things the same way. O doesn't seem to show it much but they're getting hurt. They're breaking and growing smaller and smaller everyday. They breaking into even tinier shards of a human.

K likes to break people. Judge them for who they are. Tease them for the things they didn't do right. Make fun of them just because K doesn't see how they see it. They just hang out with the people who'll protect them and would beat them to a pulp if K treated them badly. These things don't say that they aren't broken. Actually, it shows that they're more broken than they want us to see. They're insecure. They want to feel perfect and superior so they put other people down. They don't want to feel broken anymore. Well, sorry to break it to them but everyone's broken here. Don't break them and yourself even more, K.

E is disrespected. They just want what's best for others but they don't see that E is working hard. So hard that they might break even more. They want others to succeed and smile and say, "I did it!" They believe in other people because that's how much they care. They want what's best for others and they don't look at themselves and take care of themselves. Thy cry for others because E is too selfless. E shouldn't be breaking themselves. E shouldn't take the fall for others all of the time.

N is a person who just wants to be themselves. I see it myself. N seems to debate with themself a lot. It's on their face. They're thinking if they should act like this or act like that. They're quiet but later, they are loud. N seems to want to please everyone, often worrying if a certain person doesn't like them. N tries their best. I can see so. N seems to want their voice to be heard as well. When something needs to be silenced, they try to silence it but...the silence never comes. N seems to think a lot. I see that they are often thinking deeply into things. Too deep that they might fall down and become even tinier pieces of shattered glass, shattered person. I see that N often thinks that they are alone. I see that N feels alone. Like the world is against them. Like there's no more hope for them. They look like giving up. They often laugh and are very optimistic but that just seems to hide what they really feel. N is trying so hard to conceal their problems but I can see right through them. N is slowly shattering into even tinier shards. N is breaking more and more.

Broken. That's what we are. But everything, everyone that's broken can be fixed right? There's so much more than being torn apart and giving up. There's more than problems and struggles. There's more than breaking and never getting back together again as a whole. You're not alone. Look around, there are people like you everywhere and together, you can be fixed.

This room taught me something. Something about people. I observed so much about people and now I want to help. Help broken people get fixed. Help them find a way to fix themselves up again. I want people to know that there's more to being broken. Everyone breaks but everyone also gets fixed.
