The serene silence in the room was so calming. The only voice was of their heartbeats.

There was still so much distance between them but closeness in their eyes was unpalpable.

The slow steps of Ragini, increasing his heartbeat more and more.

He didn't know what he was expecting at this moment but all he can think of her, being in his arms, lost in their feelings.

She stopped at few inches away from him.

Ragini (gulping visibly, said passionately) - I am afraid of losing myself in you.

Those words lit a fire in his eyes as he closed the distance between them, grabbing her from her waist in a swift motion.

Her breath quicken as she felt his warm breath on her lips.

She didn't know why, but she always felt nervous when he looked at her with his intense eyes.

He brought his other hand near her face and put her falling fringe behind her ear.

She closed her eyes as the back of his finger touched her face lightly.

That got a smile on his lips.

He couldn't explain the happiness he felt to see his effect on her.

Laksh (lovingly) - Open your eyes, Ragini.

She shook her head and shut her eyes more tightly when he placed a kiss on her forehead.

He slowly placed a feathery kiss on her left eyes, followed by the right one.

She grabbed her nightdress in her fist controlling her hands to grab him from his shoulders.

He caresses her cheeks with his lips, causing butterflies to fly in her stomach.

He gave a little peck on her nose, making her scrunched her nose little.

He chuckled on that.

He placed a kiss near her lips. A smile brought out on Ragini's lips as his lips lingered there.

Laksh (tenderly) - Open your eyes, Wifey. I want you to look into my eyes when I do, what you are expecting me to do at this moment.

If you feel tomato is red, then you got see Ragini's face right now to clear your misconception.

He dipped his head near her face to get more close to her savory lips.

Ragini (still with closed eyes, fervidly) - I am not expecting anything.

" Oh Really? " her conscience mocked immediately. " I thought you were expecting him to come to your bed and do the deed tonight."

That got her coughed badly, making her eyes wide open.

The bold Ragini resides in her was way to wary with words. If Laksh found out what all she was expecting for this night, then don't know how will he react.

Laksh rushed to the bedside table to get a glass of water for her immediately.

Laksh (giving her glass) - Here...!!!

Ragini (gulping water) - T..thank...(cough) Thank You.

Laksh (making her sit on the bed, worriedly) - Are you all right?

Ragini nodded and stood, looking at her with a tense face.

Ragini looked at him and smile.

Ragini (assuring him) - I am absolutely fine, don't worry.

He too gave her a smile back in return. The atmosphere of the room which was filled with the serene calmness was now filled with there awkward silence.

Ragini smiled in his direction again and he too returned the same.

" What's wrong with you Ragini..!!!! From when you became like this..!!!" her mocking conscience came back again when she gave almost a fake smile in her husband's direction thrice in a row.

Ragini (under her breath) - Shut up...!!! This happened only because of you!!!

Laksh who heard it asked it immediately.

Laksh - Because of me...!!!! What did I do yaar....??

Ragini (rolling her eyes) - Not you..!!

Laksh (in confusion) - Then who?

Ragini (huffing a breath) - No one...!!! (standing up adjusting her dress properly) I think we should call it a night.

Laksh looked at her startled.

Laksh (immediately) - But why?

" Because from the last fifteen minutes, you are doing nothing except passing me those fake smiles, just like this girl " her conscience inserted.

Ragini huffed a deep breath, not to berate her own conscience when at some point she was actually right.

Ragini - I think we both are tired from our journey.

She went around her bed and started adjusting her bed.

Laksh looked at her almost shocked to see her behavior.

" Isn't she the one, who got you all excited with her excruciating messages..!! " his concise inserted rudely.

Laksh (come around the bed, near her) - No, Ragini. (grabbing her from the arm, making her face him) I am not at all tired.

" Then show it with your moves boy, not with your words." the voice exclaimed, and he shook his head.

Ragini - I think you are...!!! You even went for work after coming from the trip.

" Haah...!!!! And that 'Pati Parmeshwar's caring wife is back....!!! " her concise mocked. " Really, Ragini..!! "

Laksh (slowly) - Are you tired?

" Why the hell are you dwelling on it. Get on with your action boy. " his inner self said frustrated.

Ragini (stuttered) - No...I mean...Yes...!! I mean...!! We both are right...!! (with a small smile)And you have your office from tomorrow too...!!!

" Sometimes you are hopeless, Ragini. " the voice huffed a sigh.

Laksh - Yaa right...!! Office...!! Tomorrow...!!!

" Are you really backing out ? " the inner voice asked slightly disheartened.

Ragini (gave a fake smile again) - Okay..!!! Good night...!!!

" I am so disappointed in you, Right now. " the inner voice said gravely.

Laksh (returning the same smile) - Yaa, Good night....!!!!

" You moron...!!! At least say her what you are feeling right now...!!!" the inner voice of his getting exasperated.

Ragini nodded and he turned and started his way to the door.

" Noooooooo......!!!!! Are you mad...!!! Stop him...!! I need him now..!! " the inner voice of her burst out in cry.

Ragini (frustratingly) - Shut up...!!!!

Laksh turned immediately.

Laksh - Huh...!!!

Ragini (shook her head) - Nothing...!!!

He nodded and almost reached at the gate.

" I thought, you came here for something. But you disappointed me man..!! " his inner voice said sadly.

Laksh stooped near the gate and grab the handle to shut the gate.

Laksh - You know what, Wifey...!!!! (shutting the gate from inside) I just realised I am not at all tired.

And in a very swift motion and few long strides, he was back in front of her, grabbing her in his arms and claiming her mouth in one go.

" Whooooohhhaaaaa" both inner voices exclaimed proudly.

She almost felt a mini heart attack when she felt his lips claimed hers.

Her eyes were wide as saucer as she felt him doing the assault on her lips, she was wishing for long.

Her arms slid to his shoulders, making her hands on his nape and her fingers in his hair.

The kiss which he started as a demanding and filled with his need, slowed down as he felt her slender fingers playing with his hair, making them messy.

The softness of her petals, making him more passionate as he dragged her more close to his chest.

He was savoring the sweet flavor of her lips as she shut her eyes lost in the moment.

Playing with these petals is going to be his favorite passing time in the future.

Her eyes went wide again, when he bit her bottom lip, making her gasp for breath.

She tilted her head back immediately with accusing eyes and he winked at her.

She threw him a cavalier smile, before taking the charge and seizing their mouths in an ardent kiss again.
