Caity's POV

A few days passed and Jes and I were becoming friends very quickly. She was one of the best people I've ever met in my life!

That day we were having the lunch break, when Jes looked at her phone and smiled.

-Why that smile?- I asked her.
-Oh, it's my husband. He said he just booked an holiday for this weekend- Jes said.
-Lucky- I said.

Dylan never did those things for me. In those last months I felt like he was going away day after day.
-You boyfriend doesn't do these things?- she asked.

-No, she never did- I said sighing.
She took my hand with hers.
-Is everything ok?- Jes asked.
I smiled.

-Yes, don't worry- I said.
She looked at me, I could see she wasn't convinced but she didn't say anything.

When I arrived at home that night Dylan wasn't at home yet. I sighed when I received a message where he said he was away again.

Why was he always leaving me alone?
-It's me and you again- I said to my dogs and they started barking.

Beezlee ran to the door, keeping barking and he seemed very angry.
-What is there Beezlee?- I said and looked outside from the window.

In front of my house's gate there was Jes.
I smiled opening the door.

-Hey Jes! What are you doing here?- I said.
-I was walking with Jack and I thought to come here and say hi- she said.

At that moment I had an idea: it was only 5 pm so...
-Wait a second!- I said.

I ran inside and took 2 leashes and went out with Beezlee and Pablo.
-I come with you- I said.

Jack was her dog, a beautiful one. He liked my dogs immediately and we could make a long walk calmly.

-You seem worried, is everything ok?- Jes asked.
I sighed.

-Can you keep a secret?-.
-Of course-.
-Well... My boyfriend is away again with his friends. I don't know why but I feel like he doesn't want to stay with me anymore- I said.

Wow, after saying that I felt so much better!
-Oh... I'm sorry... You should talk with him- Jes said.

I nodded.
Yeah, probably it was the best thing to do.
-How are you?- I asked.

-Fine, nothing special. You know, normal life- Jes said.

We talked for all the time and in that moment I wished that it could last forever.

Jes' POV

I arrived at home and Jack ran to his bowl to eat something.

It was incredible how much that dog ate!

What Caity told me was incredible, how could her boyfriend act with her like that?

-Is everything ok?- my husband asked.
I looked at him.

-Yeah, don't worry. It's something my colleague told me. It's a secret- I said smiling.

-Oh. Well in this case I don't insist- he said kissing me.
I kissed him back.

I was so lucky to have him in my life! I couldn't even imagine how Caity was feeling in that moment.
