To be honest, Taiyang is really not the best dad. Sure he loves his daughters and even helped Yang get back up on her feet during volume 4. But other than that, what else is there to comment on? His two daughters are constantly sacrificing themselves and what is he doing? Gardening. Does he even know that they're eventually gonna end of fighting Salem? Cause it doesn't seem so. Sure Qrow is with them, but to me it doesn't seem that Taiyang fully trusts Qrow. People always comment on how Raven is a "bad mother" but what about Taiyang? He's not father of the year, but he's certainly not worst father ever. He's just in between.
