I really don't understand why the characters are so afraid of Salem. All we've seen her do (other than recently killing the Mistral headmaster) is sitting, standing, and stalking people through her weird crystal ball.

What is there to fear?

I really hope she does something soon cause she makes Cinder and Tyrian better villains than her.
