I love the Qrow and Summer ship. It’s my otp for the series, but I only ship it as an angst or unrequited ship. I feel like Summer was always in love with Tai ( Or I’ve done some roleplay where it was Raven) and Qrow was always sort of the fourth wheel of STRQ. I have the head canon his drinking habit came from him trying to get her attention and to care about him since he didn’t know how.

Even though I ship this as much as I do, I feel like Ruby isn’t Qrows daughter. I think that might be why Qrow takes such long missions: He loves Ruby, but can’t be around her because she’s living proof that Summer didn’t love him back. I feel like he secretly hates being called ‘Uncle’ by her because he wanted to be her father.
