Self destruction
Naruto changed into an Azure and flew down as fast as lightning, his heart was pounding with anxiety. Negative thoughts flew in and out of his mind like crazy, it felt like he was going crazy for a second.
His blood just pumping, and yet when he reached his love's body, he just froze.
He was too afraid.
So afraid to find out. To face the truth.
"Why aren't you moving , Sasuke?
Don't scare me, Sasuke.."
The bird inched closer. He heard footsteps behind him, Tsunade and Kiba let out a small gasp.
He dropped to his knees beside the king's body.
The weak one held Sasuke's cold hands, and touched his pulse. He looked up to face Tsunade and Kiba, with tears filling in his eyes. He closed his eyes and shook his head as he frowned in anguish with tears just falling uncontrollably.
Naruto was unable to speak, unable to move.
Just why? He should have stopped it.. He should have.. Now he's gone.. He blamed himself for the death of the other.
The broken bird dragged his lover lifeless and cold body closer to him, placing his head on his lap as he continued to whimper alone.
"Sasuke.." It overwhelmed him, he was in so much pain, and it felt like he was going through it alone. Naruto frowned, trying to hold back his sob. Yet his lips betrayed him and he let out a sorrowful grunt before a scream.
Things fell silent. No one said a word. Every thing slowed down. It's so surreal. Is he really gone?
Kiba squatted down as he patted his shoulder attempting to comfort him.
"He-he's dead ,Kiba.. He's dead.."
Naruto sobbed uncontrollably. "He's dead.." He repeated, unable to register it in his head.
"He's dead..."
Months passed by, ever since Sasuke's departure, Naruto couldn't live in Zeyis or Auroa. He couldn't live with the despair. Everywhere he went, he sees him, he remembers him.
It's a constant battle daily. Just to remember and to forget.
With too much grief for him to bear, he left Auroa and returned to earth where there are hardly memories of the Zeyis' king existing.
The no longer "bird" laid in bed, restlessly as he stared into nothing, he had been in the other world for too long, now the memories of the other side are destroying him. His memories are all mixed up as he try to remember what's real and what's not, it's slowly eating him away.
The days passed by as if he lost track of time. He was slowly self destructing, everyday he could see himself just getting more and more demolished. And he would often catch himself in a daze, staring into nothing as his head replayed memories.
It just keeps replaying. It never stops.
He no longer know what's real and what's not.
Did Auroa and Zeyis really existed?
Did Sasuke really existed?
He have to learn how to live his life again. His life on earth. His life without Sasuke. But he still find himself constantly breaking down over the dead king's absence. Naruto still find myself missing him.
He's been crying all day.. And he can't sleep at night..
He has never been so lonely and unhappy in his life.
"I miss Sasuke so much.."
He missed him so much that he decided to pay a visit to his grave. To just see him, one last time before he burn all his memories of the dead lover away.
Naruto returned to the place where it all happened, to the waterfall. And he summoned the gate keeper of Auroa. The gate keeper immediately recognized him and he opened the secret entrance to the land of Auroa. Once the blonde boy stepped into the portal that swirls with many different colors, he transformed into Azure and flew directly to the kingdom to find Tsunade.
"Naruto! How have you been?" Astonished to see him.
"I'm good, Queen Tsunade." He bowed in respect.
"You must have suffered a lot, Azure. You lost your radiance in those blue beautiful eyes." She escorted him through Auroa.
The bird flapped his wings as he adverted his gaze from hers. Feeling almost ashamed and embarrassed.
"I'm sure you'll recover, in due time." She whispered assuringly as they made our way to Zeyis' entrance. As soon as we passed through, Naruto switched back into his human form and gave Kiba a big hug. "I have been waiting for you. I missed you so much. I hope you have been doing well." Kiba was overjoyed to see him.
"Yes I'm doing fine, no worries." The boy forced a smile in the corner of
his pale lips.
"Come, I'll show you where is the king buried at." The dog held his hand and led him to a place almost as huge and secure as the kingdom. He guided them through a large pair of doors.
As Tsunade and Kiba talked about the election of the new king, the guards let them through the final pair of doors.
The room was spacious and in the center of the bright room, was a completely see through, air tight glass coffin to preserve the king's precious body which is placed on an elevated platform.
But something is terribly wrong.
Kiba and Tsunade fell dead silent as eyes widen in shock.
Naruto froze in terror.
How could this happen?
His glass coffin is empty.
