Today was the big, Mr. Steven Universe is on his way to college but he already said his goodbyes

Although there's one more person...Gem, he must say goodbye to. His Family..His Best Friend..

Spinel didn't take the news well and she knew it was wrong but she stayed up night thinking about Steven and how she could potentially persuade him into staying..

"No..No..What am I thinkin'? What kind of Best Friend what I would be if I get in the way of his dreams? I just miss him, that's all..."

"Oh! Spinel you were in the kitchen the whole time? I was just looking for you." The 18 year old said, shocking the Fuchsia like gem

Spinel turned around on the seat to locate the source of the familiar voice of her dreams, "S-Steven? Is that really you?"

Steven got confused & chuckled lightly, "Well of course it is, my best friend. Who else would it be—"

"Woah woah alright..Looks like a certain someone needs a hug." Steven embraces back

Spinel tucked her face into his chest. It was comforting, it felt nice, every positive feeling shivered up her spine. She just wants the moment to last forever.

Spinel now noticed how tall & grown Steven gotten. Gee 18 years of living and he's already a good looking fella. From a baby to an teenager, she seen it all..

"Steven, are you back already? Did something bad happen? Did you decide not to go?" Spinel questioned with hope

Steven laughed at Spinel's "joke", "Oh course not. I haven't even left yet, I just wanted to say goodbye to my best frie-...Uhm, Spinel?"

Steven felt tears staining & going through his shirt : He knee was the source was...But he didn't know how lost the source felt.

"Spinel, you ok? I thought you were crying."

Steven broke the comforting hug, adding more to her sadness a bit : "I-I just...I'll miss you, that's all..You're my best friend after all, Doll.."

Steven clear the remaining tears from the saddened gem, "I know..I don't want to go & I'll—"

"Then don't leave! Won't ya miss us, Dollface? Your dad, the gems, your family...Me?"

"Of course I will but I can't just abandon this opportunity at the last second."

Spinel tilted her head down in the overcoming sadness but Steven lifted it back up, "Look. I'm not gone forever, Spinny. Just wait, for me?"

"Wait" was a word Spinel despised so much although it would just seem like she was impatient but for Steven, she's willing to wait.

Spinel sniffled back her tears, "Aw. Of course I will, Stevie. Anythin' for y'all Doll."

Everyone said their goodbyes to Steven as he went aside his hotshot car. He gave one last wave of goodbye & took off : A New Life, New Friends, 18 years was worth it...

Steven looked into his rear view mirror and saw Spinel just standing there alone, smiling with a coat of depression covering it.

He couldn't take it anymore...He needed to say one more goodbye to his Best Friend in the world : The one that was there for him throughout his life

Steven turned the car around & stopped next to the frowning Jester. One Last Goodbye is all they get..

"Steven, why'd you come bac—OH!..."

Steven embraced Spinel as she gave her most comforting & somewhat tight hugged back to the college student.

"Steven...I..I...I love you..."

"I love you too..."
