~~This year~~

I've had enough of his bullshit. I really have. Matt called me and told me over the phone that we need to talk. So he wanted me to meet him at the little swamp area not far from my house. I went and met up with him.
"Rita...I'm sorry but I think we should just break up for good." He said. I didn't care anymore, my feelings for him have died not long ago. Why? Because I was with a guy who is different from him. And to be honest, I'm actually happy. I looked at Matt again and gave him a sad smile.

"It's okay Matt, I knew that you were going to do this again. I should've known better than to have given you another chance. That is the biggest regret that I have right now."

"Rita...I-"

"Just shut up, Matt. You've already made your choice and I've made mine." I said as I turned around and looks out into the swamp. I could run into the swamp to be alone. Matt was never good at keeping up with me while running through the swamp.

"Rita, wait. Can I just get one last kiss?"

"No Matthew. No you can't. Because, this is were we say goodbye." I said then I took off running into the swamp to be alone with my thoughts. I felt so happy now that it was over. Ya, this time...I didn't feel any pain from this. I turned around to look back at the direction that I left Matt at and smiled.
"Yea, I'm sure about this Matthew. This is where we say goodbye."
