It's been two weeks, T.K. has gotten better and is finally being discharged. Funnily enough, it co-incides with Megan's release from Safe Space. Since Owen is at work, Carlos and Avery have gone to pick T.K. up from the hospital whilst Jason has gone to pick Megan up from Safe Space. Carlos and Avery walk to the ward where T.K. was moved to and to his room. They see him standing up, packing his belongings into the bag on his bed.

'Hey.' Carlos smiles, walking to the room and placing a kiss on his lips. Avery walks in behind him.

'Hey.' T.K. smiles back as they part. 'Hey, trouble.' He brings his sister in for a hug.

'Hey.' Avery holds him tight.

'Ave. T.K. groans.

'Sorry.' Avery steps back from him. T.K. places his hand on her shoulders.

'I'm okay.' He assures. 'It's gonna take a whole lot more than a car accident to take me out.' At this, Avery laughs slightly and T.K. drops his hands.

'Are you waiting on anything or can we leave whenever?' Carlos asks him.

'Just my discharge letter.' T.K. responds facing him. He turns back to Avery. 'Are you gonna come and chill with us for a bit?'

'Might as well.' Avery shrugs. 'Megan gets out of rehab today, Jase as gone to pick her so I think they might want some time alone.'

Fifteen minutes later, the three of them are walking out of the hospital and to Carlos' car. They get in, buckle up and make their way to the apartment.

A week later, Jason and Avery are sitting in the front room watching a movie. Jason turns to Avery.

'Snack time?' Jason asks her.

'Not really that hungry.' Avery replies. Jason raises an eyebrow at her. 'Fine.' She sighs giving in. 'You know what I normally go for so surprise me.' Avery pauses the movie and Jason stands up and goes to walk off to the kitchen. Suddenly, he stops and sways a little. 'You okay?' Avery sits up straight, worried.

'Erm, yeah.' Jason gulps. 'Just a little dizzy spell.' He goes to take another step forwards but falls to the ground.

'Jase!!!' Avery exclaims, standing up and rushing to her best friend. She kneels down beside him. 'Jase!' She shakes him, attempting to rouse him seeing that he's unconscious. There's no luck. 'DAD!' She shouts for Owen. 'DAD!' Owen comes rushing in.

'What happened?!' He asks, also kneeling beside Jason.

'He just passed out.' Avery tells him, trying not to cry. 'He said he felt dizzy and then collapsed.'

'I'll call an ambulance.' Owen gets his phone out and dials 9-1-1.

Half an hour later, Owen and Avery are in the ER waiting room whilst Jason is being examined.

'His mom.' Avery's eyes widen. 'I need to call his mom.'

'Let me do that.' Owen says. 'What's her number?' Whilst Owen and Sharon had met a few times, they've never thought to exchange numbers. Avery gets her phone out and brings up Jason's mom's number. He gets his own phone out and types in the number before walking off to call her. A doctor walks in and approaches Avery.

'You came in with Jason Anderson?' The doctor asks her and she nods. 'My name's Dr Mayfair, I've been treating Jason. What's your relationship to him?'

'I'm his best friend.' Avery replies. 'My dad is calling his mom.'

'What exactly happened?' Dr Mayfair queries.

'We were watching a movie and he stood up to go get us snacks. He felt a little dizzy and then collapsed.' Avery explains. 'Do you know what caused it?'

'We're running some tests and we'll be taking him for some scans soon but I can't share any specifics until his mom gets here and she allows for us to keep you updated.' Dr Mayfair says. 'He's just regained consciousness but you can go and sit with him if you want. He's in treatment bay 6.'

'Thank you.' Avery smiles. Dr Mayfair nods and leaves just as Owen is rejoining Avery.

'His mom is in San Antonio on a business trip. She's leaving as we speak.' Owen tells her.

'I'm going to sit with him. He's in treatment bay 6.' Avery tells him. 'Someone has to tell Megan, too.'

'I'll go and get her once Jason's mom gets here.' Owen nods. Avery also nods before walking off to Jason's room. When she walks into Jason's room, she sees that he's hooked up to some monitors.

'Hey.' Avery smiles slightly as she sits down in the chair next to his bed. 'Your mom is on her way back from San Antonio.'

'You didn't have to call her.' Jason shakes his head.

'Erm-yeah, we did.' Avery laughs slightly. 'You scared me. These sorta things don't happen to you.'

'I've been feeling off the past few days,' Jason admits, 'I thought it was a bug or something.'

'Why didn't you say something?' Avery sighs, 'I coulda come to yours instead.'

'You remember that I'm just as stubborn as you, right?' Jason raises an eyebrow.

'Right.' Avery laughs slightly. 'Well, my dad will be going to get Megan once your mom gets here.'

A couple of hours later, Sharon arrives at the hospital, she text Owen to let him know that she had arrived. She spots him waiting outside for her and walks over to him.

'Hey, Owen.' Sharon nods.

'Sharon.' Owen nods back. 'Ave is sitting with him.'

'Has he been seen by a doctor yet?' Sharon queries.

'He has, but they wouldn't tell us anything since you weren't here.' Owen informs her. 'I'll take you though to him, let the doctor know you're here and then I've got to go pick Megan up.' Sharon nods and they both walk into the hospital. Owen leads Sharon through to Jason's room. Avery is still sat beside his bed.'I'm going to go and get Megan.' Owen tells them. 'I'll be right back.' They both nod and he leaves. Sharon takes a seat in the chair next to Avery.

'How you feeling?' Sharon asks her son.

'Better.' Jason nods. 'You didn't have to come back.'

'Oh, yes I did.' She takes his hand in hers.

'Do you guys want to hear a joke?' Avery pipes up.

'Is it a dark joke?' Jason groans.

'Maybe.' Avery smirks.

'Oh, I haven't heard an Avery dark joke in a while.' Sharon smiles.

'Okay, so, you know if you jump off a bridge and yell "parkour!", it's not suicide, it's just a failed stunt.' Avery smiles (joke is from @Thebabyg37 on titkok). What she doesn't realise, is that Dr Mayfair has just walked in.

'For the record, she's joking.' Jason laughs slightly. Avery snaps her head to Dr Mayfair, her face going bright red.

'Oops.' She giggles.

Almost half an hour later, Owen arrives at Megan's. He gets out of the car, walks up to the door and knocks. A few moments later, Megan opens the door.

'Hey, Owen. Come in.' She smiles, letting him in. They both walk through to the kitchen where Megan was working on some of her online courses. 'Is everything okay with Ave and T.K.?' She asks, knowing that if he come to see her on his own, something is going on.

'They're fine.' Owen nods. 'I actually came here to pick you up.'

'Why?' Megan asks cautiously.

'It's Jason. He fainted at ours a couple of hours ago.' Owen informs the young girl.

'What?' Megan gasps, covering her mouth.

'He's in the ER. I didn't think you'd want to hear it over the phone.

'I appreciate that.' Megan nods, dropping her hand. 'I have to go get changed.' She adds, looking down at her pyjamas. She goes and quickly changes before returning to Owen. 'I'm ready.' She says whilst checking she has everything she needs. The pair walk out of the house and to Owen's house.

Arriving back at the E.R., they see Sharon and Avery sat in the waiting area so they join them.

'They've taken him for some scans.' Avery informs them as they sit down.

'Do they know what happened?' Megan questions.

'They don't want to say anything yet.' Sharon shakes her head. 'They said some of the tests they're doing could take up to two weeks to come back. They did say they'll keep him for a few days to monitor him though.'

'Has something like this happened to him before?' Megan asks.

'Never.' Sharon responds. 'He'll be okay.' She assures the young girl. 'He's a tough nut.'

A few hours later, Jason is on a ward. Megan, Avery and Sharon are sitting with him. Owen has gone home so Sharon assured him that she'll make sure both Avery and Megan get home safe.

'Can't you just get me discharged?' Jason pleads with his mom. 'I feel fine now.'

'Not a chance in hell.' Sharon tells him sternly. 'I'm not risking anything.'

'Fine.' Jason huffs, resigned. He turns to Avery and Megan. 'You two can bust me out of here, right?' He stage whispers causing the two girls to laugh.

'And you call me stubborn.' Avery grins. 'They only want to keep you for a few days, you'll be fine. I'll come and annoy you every day.'

'That's just what I need.' Jason mutters, earning a playful slap from his best friend. They spend the next hour talking before visiting times end.
