What's Going On? Pt. 1

Your POV

Two Days Later

I softly hummed to myself, smoothing out my hair. Garroth and I were going to go out together as a date again.

Teresa and Jeff, mostly Jeff, said that they'll watch Lillian when we are out.

I smiled. He'll be here in a few minutes. I softly sighed, walking out. Lillian came running down the hall.

"Momma!" She giggled, looking at me. She softly gasped. "You look pretty!!!" She squealed.

I wasn't wearing anything fancy. I guess she's never seen me wear jeans and my (f/c) shirt?

"Lillian, I wear this all the time." I giggled.

She smiled. "I know. But, you look pretty still!"

I wish Lillian didn't say that so much. I'm not as pretty as she makes me out to be.

Teresa walked up. "Just give me a reason, just a little bit's enough..." She laughed, singing along to the radio.

Lillian laughed, singing along with her.

Teresa looked at me and had her face telling me to join us.

We all sang to the song, each of us laughing through most of it.

Garroth's POV

It felt awkward asking (y/n) out. I mean, I know she would say yes, but still. Especially now.

Urgh. Garroth, get yourself together!

The elevator dinged, starting to go up.

Every bad thing was running through my head. I couldn't stop thinking of how this could go wrong.

I'm doing it again. Stop it! It'll all go right. She loves going to this place. So, it should go well.

The small box shifted in my jacket pocket. The nervousness was stacking everything on me, weighing me down.

I found thr place that we went to on our first date. She loved it. It wasn't fancy, but she liked the food and music.

I softly chuckled at the thought before knocking on the door.

Your POV

The knock at the door brought me back to reality. I walked over to the door, turning the knob to open it.

I smiled when I saw Garroth. "Hey."

"Hey, (y/n)." He smiled back.

"Here. You wanna come in?"

"Sure." He chuckled.

I opened the door wide enough for him to come in.

He walked in and stood beside me as I shut the door.

Teresa smiled as Lillian and Grace were doing Just Dance.

Lillian's ponytail flicked back and forth as she jumped to the beat. She laughed.

Grace giggled as she tried to keep up. Her braid was flying at the same rhythm as Lilli's tail.

Teresa and Jeff were watching them.

Garroth chuckled. "Wow."

"Yeah."

"Well, should we head out?" Garroth asked a few minutes later.

I smiled at him. "Sure. Let's go."

He smiled at me before we both went out of the room.

"So, where are we going?" I asked, walking over to the elevator beside him.

"I was thinking that pizza karaoke place you always talk about." He said, looking down at me.

"Alright. Sounds fun." I smiled.

He smiled at me back. "Alright."

We went down the elevator. The whole way to the place, we just talked. Every once in a while, we would laugh. The subject always changed along.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

Garroth and I sat down in a booth beside one of the windows. He seemed... nervous now.

"Garroth, what's up? You look nervous." I said.

"Huh? Oh. I'm not nervous. Just... uh..." Garroth tried to find a way to say he wasn't.

I giggled, softly leaning over the table and kissing his nose.

"Uh huh." I smiled.

"Now I don't even know what I was going to say." He chuckled.

"Alright." I laughed.

One of the waiters came over. She took our order and went to go get it started.

There was someone who tapped the microphone on the karaoke stage.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Tonight just like other nights, we are doing our karaoke contest. Anyone is able to come up and perform a song of their choice. This will be judged by the audience themselves and the winner will get the one hundred dollar prize." He said. "The only rule is that you can go once. So choose songs wisely. I think we all are excited to see who comes up." The man walked off the stage, leaving the microphone up there.

Garroth looked at me. "You want to do it?"

"Well, yeah. But I think I'll just wait a bit." I simply answered.

He nodded with a soft smile. "Alright."

The waitress came back with their drinks. She smiled at them before going back into the kitchen.

I looked at Garroth. He looked at me with a slight smirk.

"Didn't you have that same smirk on our first date?" I laughed.

"Maybe~" He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Fess up bud. You totally did. I recognize that look ANYWHERE." I smiled.

"Okay! Okay! Sheesh!" He laughed.

A girl that was sitting at a table alone looked at us. She had a soft smile that she looked at me with.

I noticed and smiled softly back.

She turned back around a few moments later. A guy walked up to her and they both started to talk.

I smiled before looking at Garroth.

"You see someone?" He asked.

I nodded. "A girl was lookin at me. She was smiling at me so, I smiled back."

"Ah." Garroth chuckled.

I giggled before I noticed she was going onto the stage with the guy. She was laughing as she dragged him onstage.

He had a smile on his face as he and the girl picked a song.

"I think she's gonna perform with that guy." I said.

"Looks like it." Garroth turned around to see. "Hey... I think I know that guy." He said after a few minutes of looking at them.

"You do?" I asked.

He nodded. "He's one of the guys I work with. I think his name is John." Garroth said.

I nodded softly. "That's cool."

Garroth chuckled. "Yeah. He's a nice guy." He added.

I watched the two. I noticed the girl had a smile on her face. Her green eyes glistened in the pale white light on the stage.

The guy held the two microphones for them.

The lights dimmed throughout the area. Even on the stage.

I waited silently. This looks to be cool.

To be Continued.

THUMBS UP TO THE PERSON WHO KNOWS THIS GAL ALREADY.

Sorry for barely any updates. I'm going back to the way I used to write so no prewriting. it takes way too long instead of just taking an hour or two, it takes a few weeks.

I hope you guys like the chapters!
