Memories Will Last

Your POV

~Later that night~

I kept tossing and turning in bed. My alarm clock beside my bed had it pale green numbers showing the time. 4:30 am.

I stared back at the ceiling. Everything flew past my mind.

"You want to make this night last?" Garroth asked me, the silly smirk across his face.

We were standing outside my apartment door.

"I wish."

I softly smiled. I remembered that night.

"Garroth, can I... talk to you?" I looked at Garroth, who was looking out the window.

We were at his apartment. Laurance had gone out with Dante for something 'important'.

"Yeah? What is it?"

I scratched the back of my head nervously.

"I seriously don't know how to put this."

He looked at me, puzzled.

I bit my lip, then walked over to my purse. I pulled out a picture from earlier that day. A few hours before now.

"See for yourself." I handed him the slip of paper upside down.

Garroth looked at me, then looked at the picture as he turned it over.

The confused look he had was replaced with a shocked look.

"Wait... What..."

I weakly smiled. "Surprise."

Garroth stood up in front of me, turning the picture around.

"Wait a moment. This..." He slightly pointed at the picture. "is yours?"

I nodded softly.

"Since when?"

I shrugged. "The doctor said it's been three months."

He looked at me.

"Is that why you've been wearing a sweatshirt constantly?"

I softly nodded. "I didn't know how you would react if you found out."

He looked at me, half smiling, half serious.

"I want to know who the father is."

I rolled my eyes and touched the tip of his nose.

"You, doofus."

I smiled, opening my eyes again. The day I told Garroth I was pregnant with Lillian. The day I almost scared him to death.

My face softened from the tension of being unable to sleep. I pulled the sheets off of me, then turned on the lamp.

Standing up, my feet touched the fuzzed carpet. I walked dazily over to the dresser, getting used to the fact that I was moving around again. I looked at the pictures I had.

Garroth and I the first few days we were friends.

Our whole friend group that same day.

Garroth, Lillian, and I when she was born.

Lillian's first birthday.

Garroth had the rest of the pictures in a photo album.

But, one stuck out. One I had hidden from Garroth. A secret I've hidden for six years fron Lillian.

I pulled the picture from behind a box.

It was my best friend Teresa, me, and another baby.

My heart rate went up. I've never told anyone. Heck, I haven't talked to her in so long.

The baby's name was Angela.

My phone buzzed by my nightstand, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I picked my phone up, then read the text.

Yooooooo

I smiled softly. Teresa actually replied to my text.

Hey, Teresa.

You actually replied?! Oh my gawd.

Why wouldn't I?

Gee, I don't know. IT'S THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FOR CHU

I know. I couldn't sleep.

So, it's been forever. How have ya been?

Life.

Very funny. Uh, are you able to Skype right now?

I laughed to myself. Lillian wasn't home and, I was alone.

Sure. Like I'm going to be able to sleep anymore.

Kay.

I swung over the side of my bed and pulled the laptop out from underneath.

My heart was in my stomach from nervousness. I didn't know how she would react from how much I've changed.

I turned on the computer, then turned on the Skype app.

A few minutes later, her Skype name showed on the screen to answer the call.

I used the mouse pad and answered it.

"Yello." Teresa said.

Her face popped onto the screen.

She had barely changed. Other than more freckles dotting her face and longer strawberry-blonde hair.

I touched the video call button and my face showed up in the corner of the screen.

Her jaw dropped.

"DUUUDE! You look so beautiful! Well, you were cute before you left but, you look, beautifuller than before!"

"Thanks." I softly smiled.

"And your voice too! Dang, it HAS been that long."

"Same back at ya, girly."

"Momma, why are you talking to yourself?" A girl's voice said in the background.

"Yeah! What's you doing!?" A boy's voice said.

Teresa laughed. "Well, I guess I have to introduce you guys to my friend now, huh."

Two squeals came from the video feed. A moment later, two little kids jumped into view.

"Awww!" I said, looking at the screen.

"Yeah. Well, one is my kid, the other is my sister's kid."

"Well, which one is which?!"

Teresa giggled, then pointed at the boy.

"This mischief maker is my sister's boy, his name is Raphael. And, this." She pointed at the girl. "'Artist' is Angela."

"Hi Angela! Hi Raphael!"

"Hullo!" Angela said, waving softly at me.

"Hey, Tess. Jamie is here to pick Raphael up." A guy's voice said off camera.

"Okay. Hang on." She turned towards me. "I'm going to bring Raphael to Jamie so, I'll be back in a minute. Uh, Angela? You want to talk to (y/n)?"

"Yus, Momma!"

Raphael and Teresa went out of camera view, leaving Angela alone.

"How old are you, Angela?"

"Uummm..... Three? I tink."

I giggled. "Cool!"

Angela giggled, then looked off camera.

"She's funny!"

"I bet, Angie. Your mom's friend, (y/n) has a better sense of humor than me?"

"No! You funny too!"

I softly laughed.

The guy came into view.

"Hey." He said, partially waving at me.

"Hey. It's... nice to meet ya."

"Same to you. Well, however well meeting you on a screen is. Teresa usually talks the world to Angela about you."

"Really?"

"Yeah. You made that big of a difference in her life that she talks about you THAT much."

Now, I feel bad. We've known each other for fifteen years. And, my daughter only knows about Aph and the gang. Not any other friends that I have. Or had.

"Okay. Uhhhh, hang on a moment. (y/n), what time is it for you? It's 7 in the morning here." Teresa's said, leaning on the guy's back.

"It's actually five am right now."

She looked at me.

"Girly, why have you been up exactly?!"

I laughed. "I told you. I'm just having trouble sleepin' tonight."

Teresa made the 'oh' face, then giggled.

"Oh! I forgot to show you earlier!" Teresa held her hand out, holding onto the guy's hand too.

Wedding rings. "You two married?!"

"Well, duh! Why do you think we have Angela?"

"Yeah, yet you both have failed to tell me his name!"

The guy laughed. "My name is Jeff."
Cuz Grace won't have Marace, it's Jesa. :(

"Well, it is very nice to meet ya, Mario."

I realized he looked similar to what Aaron looked like, but had green eyes instead of dark brown. Other than that, they could be twins.

Teresa and Jeff looked at me funny. "You okay, (y/n)?"

I shook my head. "Yeah. Sorry. Jeff just looks like one of my friends. His name's Aaron."

Teresa gasped. "You have a boyfriend?! Ohmigosh my (y/n)~Chan is growing up!"

"Teresa!"

Angela and Teresa laughed. Jeff rolled his eyes playfully, turning his head to Teresa.

"No, he isn't my 'boyfriend'. He is a boy and is my friend. And, I have SO much more friends than just him."

"Is it all those people you sent me a few years ago?"

"I sent you a picture of them?"

"Yeah! You did. Hang on. Um,"

She reached over to the screen, then clicked a few things open on the computer.

"I sent it to you. Hang on a moment."

I moved to the messaging. A picture of all of us kneeling in front of the fire for a picture.

"Except, my question is who's the gal that's beside you and the guy?"

"Well...." I rubbed the back of my head.

"That is my boyfriend and, my daughter."

To be continued.
Look, I didn't mean for it to go like this but, I have nothin else to do for a chapter and, I need to give you guys somethin.
Thanks for readin guys and, I will see you all later. Bye!
