Friendship
Before this starts, this is my own way of saying thanks to my friend because she, even though is not very far into the MCD or MCMY, supports me and, yeah.
Thanks! <3 💚💜💙💛
Your POV
Teresa texted me saying she and the other two will be at the airport in two hours. I was nervous.
She's never met some people. She's never SEEN anyone in person. She is going to FLIP if someone does anything stupid.
Garroth must have noticed I was stressed out. He walked over to me, holding onto my shoulders.
"Hey, (y/n). It's okay."
"I know it's okay. It's the fact that legitimately, Lillian doesn't even know who this is!"
"She'll be excited. She always is around new people."
"Garroth, you don't see the levels of stress I have right now. I feel like exploding from it."
"Well, don't explode. Just relax. I'm nervous about meeting her and her family because she's protective of you."
I looked at him. "How did you know?"
He chuckled. "If you guys have been friends for... fifteen years. I think she will care about you a lot."
"I know... It's just... I don't know."
He smiled, then kissed my forehead.
"Don't worry. She's your friend. It'll be fine."
I giggled, looking at the ground. "Yeah."
"Mom, why are you blushing so much?" Lillian asked, walking out of her room.
My hand touched my cheek. It felt warm to the touch.
"I'm just nervous. It's alright, sweetheart."
Lillian looked at me.
"What are you nervous about?"
"Uhh....." I looked at Garroth. He chuckled.
"You should tell her now, girly." Garroth whispered into my ear.
I shrugged. "I will."
Lillian looked at me, confused. "What's going on?"
I giggled. "Um.. One of mom's friends are coming with her family."
"OOoooO! Who!" Lillian said, giggling.
"She's someone you and your dad haven't met." I said, squatting down in front of her.
"Oh! Okey!" Lillian said, jumping up and down.
I sighed softly, giggling. Garroth put his hand on my back.
"You gals ready to go round everyone up?"
I nodded. "Yeah. They'll want to meet her too." I turned to Lillian.
"Ready to go meet Teresa?"
"Yes!" Lillian squealed.
"Let's go then!" I stood back up.
Lillian smiled, running towards the door.
Garroth chuckled, then wrapped his arm around my back. I looked at him, smiling.
"I guess you were right, Garroth."
"I know." He chuckled. "But you were right too."
"How was I exactly?"
"That she didn't know who. But, she is excited."
"Yeah..." I said, giggling.
"Come ON mom an' dad!" Lillian said, hanging out the doorway.
I laughed. "Okay. We're coming!"
+x+x+x+x+x+
The airport was busy. I was glad that we didn't have EVERYONE come to meet her here. It's just me, Garroth, and Lillian.
Lillian's arms were around Garroth's neck. She was looking around.
"Lillian, do you see her?"
She shrugged. "I don't know... What does she look like again?"
Garroth chuckled.
"She has blonde hair and brown eyes. She should have a guy that looks like Aaron beside her."
"Let me guess. Is that Jeff then?" Garroth asked.
"Yeah."
"Alright then."
We kept looking around.
"Yo!" A person said.
"Hmmm... Maybe we'll find her this way. MARCO!" I said, listening for an answer.
"POLO!" A girl yelled from behind.
Garroth looked at me. "That worked?"
"Well, yeah. That was a way to find each other in a crowd." I turned towards the direction her voice was in.
"Marco!"
"Powo!" A little's girl's squeal yelled.
Her head popped out over the crowd.
"Daddy! Mommy! There's a little girl like me!"
"Yeah?" I said, looking up at Lillian.
"Hey! (y/n)!" A girl said before she and two others emerged from the crowd.
We both walked towards each other, wrapping our arms around one another.
"Hey!" She said.
"Hai, Teresa." I giggled, smiling.
Jeff walked up with Grace.
"Hey Jeff!" I said, letting go of Teresa and looking at him.
"Hey." He answered.
Garroth chuckled, walking over.
"Haiyo!" Lillian squealed, looking at Grace.
"Hiiii!" Grace squealed back, waving her hands in hello.
Jeff and Garroth set the two down. The girls mimicked us and hugged each other.
Teresa and I laughed.
"I guess Grace and Lillian are getting along well." Garroth chuckled, looking at the two.
Jeff smiled. "Yeah, they sure are." He looked at Garroth. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Jeff."
"Garroth. It's nice to meet you three also." Garroth said, smiling.
Teresa leaned over beside my ear.
"Dang, they seem to have the same personalities." She whispered.
"They basically do." I said back, giggling.
Garroth and Jeff started talking. Grace and Lillian went over to us.
"Mommy! Lilnian is so cool!" Grace said, smiling.
"Yup! Lillian is a nice girl isn't she!" Teresa said.
Lillian looked at me. "When did you guys meet!"
I looked at Teresa. She laughed.
"Around your age, sweetheart." Teresa said, smiling at Lillian.
"Whoa!" Lillian and Grace exclaimed.
The guys stopped talking after a few minutes, then each walked over to us.
Garroth walked over to Teresa and Jeff walked over to me.
"You still look as young as ever. Even after having a kid, huh." Jeff chuckled, looking at Lillian.
"I know. I'm surprised you and Teresa haven't changed either. Kids are so hard to take care of."
He chuckled. "So, Garroth is her father?" He asked.
"Yeah. He is."
"He a nice guy?"
"What do you think? You were talking to him." I giggled.
"I know I was. I'm just curious from your view."
"Well... Even though we fight over the weirdest things, I love him. And, he's been there for me the past six years."
Jeff smiled. "I'm going to take that as a yes then."
"Hey!"
He chuckled.
Teresa laughed. "She didn't tell that to me! The last time she did that was when I pranked her with water and ice."
Garroth and Teresa kept laughing. Jeff chuckled.
I looked at him. "How has life been anyway?"
He shrugged. "It's been the same. Even after Grace came."
"So... you guys getting married didn't change anything?" I teased.
He laughed. "No, getting married to her was amazing too. What I want to see is you and Garroth get married. You two are perfect for each other."
I smiled, looking at Garroth. He chuckled, listening to Teresa.
"Yeah... I know."
To be Continued.
