Chapter 2- Games
Your POV
Danggit Aphmau.
"STOP WINNING ALL THE GAMES. SERIOUSLY! Garroth, how does she do this?!"
I frowned, watching Aphmau laugh her head off.
Garroth shrugged.
"She's just really crazy. I have no clue how she does it. I never win any games because of her!" Garroth said, making me laugh a little bit.
Aphmau calmed down and looked at us.
"So, how was the 'pretend date' with Travis last night, (y/n)?" Aphmau asked, making me freeze.
Great. Now Travis keeps saying that I was with HIM when I yelled at him over the phone last night.
"Uh, what do you mean? I was with Lillian all night watching movies."
"Oh! I didn't know you were with her. Wait. Who?"
I giggled. "My daughter? Don't you remember her?"
Aphmau shook her head. I laughed softly.
"Lillian is five now. You don't rememb- WAIT. CRAP!" I said, shooting up.
"What?" Aphmau said, looking at me.
Garroth sighed, slapping his hand on his face.
"I need to pick up Lillian from school! I'm so sorry but I have to go!"
I grabbed my sweatshirt and keys, partially running out the door.
It's her third day in school and I forgot again.
************
"Momma, can you help me out?" Lillian asked, staring at her homework.
I laughed, pulling the chair out and sat beside her.
"What problem?" I straightened my apron and looked at her.
"Everything." She said, setting her head on the table.
"Girly, let me see." I said, looking at her worksheet.
"It's just numbers and the ABC's. What's so bad about that?"
"It's haaarrdd! I haveta spell my name and I have to count how many pictures are in the boxes, and it all is soooooo confusing!" Lillian said, sighing.
I nodded. "It's not that bad. If you want to know, it's easier than spelling onomatapeia or supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Lillian is an easier word than those."
She giggled. "Okay, I get it mom. Just, can you help me?"
I nodded. "Sure. Only, I have a fun way to learn."
She smiled. "Show me!"
I grabbed her hand and we both walked into the hall, pulling out art supplies.
"Even though you won't do this in school, it is a lot more fun learning this way."
I pulled out letter and number stamps, paper, and ink.
"Then let's get started."
*******
"L-I-L-L-I-A-N." Lillian spelled out, smiling.
"You got it!" I smiled, hugging her softly.
"Thanks, momma." Lillian hugged me back.
"You're welcome, sweetheart. Ready for dinner?" I walked back into the kitchen, grabbing a mixing bowl.
"Want to do breakfast night again?"
Lillian nodded. "Can we do waffles instead of pancakes though?"
I laughed. "Yup! We sure can."
Lillian smiled, then grabbed the cookbook from the bookshelf.
"Let's get started, girly."
Garroth's POV
"Garroth, what are you doing?" Laurance asked me.
I twisted the envelope in my hand. It was to me and Laurance from (y/n)'s address.
"It's a envelope, Laurance. What else?"
Laurance rolled his eyes. "You going to open it?"
I rolled my eyes, opening up the card-letter thing.
Laurance grabbed the invitation out of my hand, chuckling.
"I'm guessing (y/n) is behind all of this?" Laurance said, looking at the card.
I nodded. "She mentioned it earlier. Anyway, I'll give her a call later if we need to bring anything."
Laurance nodded, then walked down the hall into his room.
I picked my phone up and dialed (y/n)'s number.
"Hello?"
"Hey, (y/n)."
"Oh hey, Garroth! What's up?"
"Just sitting around. How about you?"
"Same as always. Well, Lillian fell asleep so, I'm just cleaning up stuff."
"Oh. Well, do you want me to call back later?"
"Huh? Oh, no. It's alright. I was almost done anyway."
"Okay." I chuckled, then heard her laugh. "I have a question for you."
"Shoot."
"Do you need me or Laurance to bring stuff for Aphmau's birthday?"
"Uuuuummm." She paused for a minute. "I don't think so. Kawaii~Chan is making a cake and, we all are just ordering Pizza because Aphmau wanted it so, I think the only thing it Pop and Ice Cream. But, I'll be able to get that stuff."
"You sure? I can get that for you. You're the one that's been planning this all so, you don't need to do this."
"I'm fine with it. Really."
"I'll do it for ya. Anyway, you have Lillian. You need to have the extra money."
"You really want to do this for me don't you."
"I'm willing to."
(y/n) giggled, then staryed to talk again. "Okay. I get it. Well, just remember to bring it. Anything else you have to say?"
"You need any help tomorrow? I'm off work so, I could help you out with anything."
"Well, I have to get to work early tomorrow because of a delivery so, if you could be able to get Lillian to school, that would be great."
"Sure, I can do that."
She laughed. "Thanks. I really appreciate the help, Garroth "
"It's no problem at all."
"Well, it's getting late so, I better head to bed. See you tomorrow morning?"
"See you. Night, girly."
"Night, Garroth."
She hung up, then I shut my phone off. This time she actually accepted the help. But, I'm happy she did. She needs a break. She works way too hard.
I smiled. I was happy she was my girlfriend and, I could be there for her.
***********************************************
Your POV
"Sweetie, time to wake up." I nudged Lillian's arm softly.
I sat on the edge of her bed, trying to wake her up.
"Momma it's too early. Can I sleep longer?"
Lillian sleepily opened her eyes.
"Sorry, girly. I want to make sure you're up. Garroth is taking you to school this morning."
Lillian sprang up. "Garroth is coming?! Okay! Wait. What about you?"
I softly laughed. "I have to go to work early today. But don't worry, I'll be picking you up from school."
"Okay! But, are you still making breakfast?"
I laughed. "Yes. I'm still making breakfast. But you have to get ready fast!"
"Okay!" She sprung out of bed and grabbed her uniform off of the dresser.
I laughed, then walked out of her room. I walked into the kitchen and started making some form of breakfast.
Cinnamon Toast with fruit. Simple as that.
"Done!" Lillian exclaimed a few minutes later, walking out and smiling at me.
She had her uniform on right and had put her hair in a ponytail.
"Great! Ready for breakfast then?"
She sniffed the air, then giggled. "Yes! Cinanamon toast!"
I laughed, then put some onto a plate and handed it to her.
Lilly smiled, then started eating it.
I heard a soft knock on the door. Probably Garroth.
I went over to the door, then opened it. Garroth stood there, partially smiling.
"Morning, Garroth! Come in!"
I stepped out fo the way so Garroth could walk in.
"Garroth! Haiii!" Lillian said, jumping out of her seat and hugging Garroth.
"Good morning, Lilly." Garroth said, kissing her forehead.
Lillian giggled.
I walked right beside Garroth and kissed his cheek. Lillian giggled at the sight, then went back over to her seat.
Garroth chuckled, making part of me inside melt with happiness. Usually, I didn't get to see him when it was just him and me and Lillian.
"Well, I guess I better get going. I'll see ya later."
"Bye, Mom!" Lillian said from the table.
Garroth hugged me. "Want to do the game night with everyone tonight?"
"Sure. Sounds good."
He smiled, then I smiled back.
Off to work I go.
To be continued.
