Chapter 18

Before this starts, I want to thank  CICCIChan for the amazing support in so many things and... There's a special surprise somewhere in this chapter.
Idk if it's special. Or a surprise. But it's a part that I wasn't gonna add if I hadn't been thinking about her When I wrote it. :3

Chapter 18: Her Family with Fear

(y/n)

"Christy!" Garroth grinned happily, walking over to his sister. She looked over, setting down the baby carrier and hugging him tightly, "Hey big brother..." She whispered.

I smiled lightly as I walked over. Lillian was already with Vylad, the two watching a show in the other room with a girl I had never met before. I frowned lightly, not very sure I wanted her around Lillian, her giving me an interesting vibe.

Then again, I'm kind of turning protective of her... It's nothing. She's with her uncle. I trust him at least.

I sighed quietly before I felt someone touch my shoulder, the dots appeared again but, I ignored them as I looked behind me.

Aaron stood there lightly, looking at me quietly, "Are... you okay?" He asked.

I nodded softly, "Yeah. I'm alright. Why?"

"You look a little pale and dazed..." He said softly.

I smiled lightly, "I'm alright. I'm sure of that."

Aaron quietly nodded, "Alright. If you need anything... tell Garroth or I... okay?"

I softly nodded, "I will. I promise."

He chuckled softly, "Alright." He said once again before walking over to Christina.

I watched quietly before having to sit down. I walked as well as I could over to the chair in the living room, closing my eyes as I sat there.

"Mommy silly." Lillian giggled.

"Huh...?" My eyes opened and looked at her direction.

Lillian giggled again. I laughed softly, smiling at her.

The young lady that sat beside Vylad smiled at me slightly, her looking shy. I smiled to her, "Hello..."

She looked like she was about to say something before she buried her face in Vylad's arm, her blushing from shyness.

Vylad looked over with a chuckle, "(y/n), this is my girlfriend, Cicci. Cicci, this is my brother's fiancé, (y/n)."

I smiled as she looked at me again, "Is she Lillian's mother?"

Vylad and I both nodded. She smiled lightly, "Your daughter is adorable..."

I laughed lightly, looking at Lillian, "Yeah. She is..." My smile faded as the blurriness came back.

She tilted her head, "You okay?" She asked, her voice seeming to echo.

I nodded softly, not wanting a new person to worry about me. She smiled kindly, "Alright."

After a few minutes, it was time for everyone to gather together in the middle of the room since, well, it was basically a 'Welcome Home' for Christy and Kathryn Rose.

Her baby was so tiny, it kind of scared me when Garroth held her, him looking about to crush her by just holding her the same way Aaron did. Even when Aaron held her, he looked like this giant holding a basket of food. It was funny but, adorable at the same time.

I sighed quietly, Lillian in my lap. We both watched, Lillian already having the chance to help me hold her.

My head began hurting. It just felt like someone was hitting me in the head repeatedly, the pound getting louder every few minutes.

It continued for a few hours, everyone talking, no one really wanting to bother me, not sure if I was tired or just not feeling very good.

Garroth noticed for the third time before he looked at me. "We should get you home..." He softly said to me, rubbing my shoulder softly.

Lillian was playing with her uncles and aunt, them all playing a board game.

"Okay..." I weakly whispered, suddenly feeling a wave of pain, my head banging louder, my ears starting to ring, blurry vision and clammy hands.

He didn't notice my clammy hands as he gripped my arms lightly, helping me up. We slowly started walking before the black blobs came back bigger than ever, blinding me without me seeing anything.

I felt like I was falling before feeling the THUD on the ground, my head banging onto a hard surface, my ears ringing louder.

The world around started to fade off from sound. The black blobs disappeared, replaced with the blurry vision.

Garroth seemed to have rolled me over, his mouth moving as I could hear the distant sound of him shouting my name. Figures started to run over, darkness coming from the top and bottom of my vision.

Lillian was screaming, her running over by her dad. Garroth turned to her and half seemed to shout at her something. She started crying harder, backing up steps. Other figures I couldn't make out anymore froze behind him.

I couldn't do anything as the darkness met in the middle and everything just went blank in the dark.

------~~~~~~------

Crying came out again. A child crying. My nerves reacted, recognizing the crying as I shot out, my eyes opening in a flash, the darkness suddenly bright light. My breathing went heavy, it in heaves.

The girl sniffled, her head on my chest, her lying beside me. My arm was behind her, the other on my other side. She seemed close to falling asleep.

I bit my lip before weakly shifting to give her more space, cuddling her up into me. She gasped, her head looking up.

"Mommy..." She said softly before crying again, "Mommy...!" She said, hugging me tightly.

"Hey honey... Sh.... Sh... it's okay..." I whispered, gently pulling the little girl closer to me. I gently rested my chin on her head, her (h/l) (h/c) hair under me, her wet cheeks on my collarbone on my clothes.

"(y/n) ..." A familiar man's voice said across the room. I looked up to see him.

He stood in the doorway before running over to me, hugging both of us gently, his sky-blue eyes glazed with tears.

"Garroth...? What happened...?" I softly asked, noticing the room was not mine, nor at his parents' house, or... anywhere that we had been at.

He bit his lip as he pulled away, sitting on the side of the bed, "You had apparently fainted when I tried to bring you home yesterday... I brought you here and they said that you had really, really low blood sugar..."

"Why am I still here though...?" I asked, "It was yesterday afternoon... right...?"

He smiled gently, "Yes but, it was about midnight when they were done checking vitals and everything but, since you are pregnant... they... wanted to keep you for the night to make sure that you and the twins are alright..."

I quietly nodded after a moment. I looked at Lillian before back at him, "What did you say to her when I did fall...? Cause... I could see until... everyone else came over..."

Garroth visibly bit his lip, him looking away, "I was... extremely freaked out and shocked that you fell and... I didn't want her to get hurt while I tried to get you up... When she tried to grab you, I told her to back up... but... it wasn't the nicest tone I could have done..."

"What does that mean then...?" I asked softly.

"I yelled at her... and... used poor wording." He softly said, almost afraid of the anger burst of a mom.

"You said a bad word... didn't you." I sighed softly, looking at him.

"Sorry..." He quietly said. I looked at him before gently touching his hand, "I can't blame you there... you were scared..."

He looked at me softly with a light smile, "I know..."

I giggled quietly. I looked back down at Lillian. She was asleep.

"She had stayed up all night, you still not responding which, scared her to death... After a while of her screaming and the doctors trying to sedate her because of how she was acting... I just told them to let her lay down and she would be okay with everything." Garroth lightly said, "She did. And it was that way since... six hours ago."

My eyes widened, "Has she had anything since lunch yesterday!?"

He nodded, "Yeah. While they were with you, Christine had come and took her to dinner so... She could try to take her mind from this. It worked... until she came back and they that whole screaming mess started.

I sighed softly with a nod, "What about you...?"

"I got something after Lillian laid down with you."

I nodded softly before looking down. I started to feel horrible about this whole thing, it just a thing that I told myself to attempt to avoid...

"I'm sorry..." I quietly said, which made Garroth turn to me, "Sorry for what?" He asked.

"Worrying you guys... Not taking care of myself... Not... Not preventing this- "

"Shut it." He said, cutting me off, "Don't say that kind of crap."

I looked at him softly.

"You had no way to understand what was going on because you didn't know... it is okay. It really is..." He bit his lip, "It's partially my fault for not noticing you being quiet and pale and, well, not yourself..."

"It's partially my fault for not telling you guys everything that was wrong..." I quietly said.

He looked at me softly, "But hey... at least it wasn't something very serious, that you and the twins are okay, and that we can plan around this and do better..."

I looked at him softly, knowing he was correct. I softly nodded. "Alright..."

He smiled before gently kissing my forehead, "I still love you, and nothing will stop that."

I smiled lightly, closing my eyes for a moment before looking at him, "And I still love you too..."

To be Continued.
