Chapter 16: Revelation
Christine
"Get out of my way!" A girl shouted at me, the same girl from the other day.
I groaned as I turned around, planting my feet, hands on hips, "Excuse me?"
"Get out of my way, jerk." She said, mimicking me.
A few other girls who were my friends and her friends came around us.
"You're not even close to me and you're calling me a jerk. This is coming from the one who is mimicking me." I said, not in the mood.
She rolled her eyes, "You tripped me Tuesday. And then never apologized." She said, making a sad frown.
"You were the one still standing when I fell. What happened to no running inside." I said, walking up to her. She was a few inches shorter than me but the heels made her just as tall.
She glared at me, her amber eyes staring at my brown eyes.
"Just get out of my way, child." She said after a minute, her voice low.
"Oh I'm the child? This is coming from the woman who's to self concious about being short to wear heels and is accusing someone of some things they never did." I said.
She growled, "Liar."
"Brat." I spat back.
She hissed before smacking me.
Oh heck no. She just hit me. I can defend myself.
I stumbled back a step before she full blown punched me.
I coughed, falling back.
You are so dead now.
I jumped back up before holding my arms defensively, staring at her.
She came at me again before I dodged her and hit her back in the same spot.
She spun on her heels, turning around. She lunged at me, grabbing my hair.
I yelped, her tearing at my hair. I kicked her, but all she did was scratch my skin.
Cat fight. She's a girl fighter...
I bit my lip before spinning around, my hair getting loose, other than handfuls in her hands, blood coming from the nail scratches on my face. I kicked my leg up, my toes straight, knocking her straight in the chin.
She coughed, falling down. She kicked my legs, making me fall down as well.
I couldn't react fast enough to her rolling towards me, her falling on top of me, and she started punching me as hard as she could. Though it wasn't as hard as I kicked her, my face started to go numb.
She had my feet and arms trapped behind her and under her, making me unable to fight back.
After a minute she was lifted off my two guys, shouting at her to stop.
I couldn't breathe, my nose and mouth clogged with blood. I rolled over into my side, coughing it out.
My body got to my feet before turning around.
The guys had her by the arms. I went over and punched her straight in the nose, "That's payback for twenty." I hissed.
She coughed and whined, looking at her friends.
Her friends looked at me and glared, walking with her away. Each called me a name for hitting her, but I ignored it.
My friends looked at me. One asked, "Are you okay?"
I looked at her and smiled, "Yeah. Better than I could have ended up..."
The two girls beside her smiled, "Well... Come on... We should go get you cleaned up..."
I nodded softly, "Yeah... I look like Scott Sterling now.."
The three laughed as we all walked down the street to my sister's apartment.
(Y/N)
I sighed, sitting on my bed, reading.
It's so quiet without anyone else here. It's really peaceful. A small smile appeared on my lips. I love it.
Then there was a knock that disturbed the silence. I sighed softly, shutting the book and getting out of bed. I slid on a sweater, the other part of the apartment cooler.
I went over to the door and opened it, "Hello?"
"Hey big sis.." I looked up and saw Christine. My jaw dropped.
Her face was skin, blood, and bruises... What?!
I bit my lip, "Come on you guys..." I opened the door up, letting in Christine and the three others with her.
Christine smiled weakly before walking in. The other girls thanked me but, looked like it was awkward for them.
Lia and I went into the bathroom so I could clean her up. She explained what happened and all it did was make me feel upset. And angry. Who was this person.
She winced at the cloth touching her cheek, "Irene... That's a nail?" I asked.
"Most of them are from nails..." She whispered.
I softly nodded, "Girl fights are horrible to get mixed into..."
"It's her fault... Then she started punching me..." She sighed.
I nodded quietly, "Ah... Who was she. I'll give her a bad day." I said, anger rising in my voice.
Lia sighed, "Down, (n/n).." She said, looking up at me.
I bit my lip, focusing on cleaning her up. Blood was everywhere on the cloth. I sighed as it stopped bleeding.
She looked at me, her eyes soft.
My body stopped moving.
"Sissy..." Christine's crying filled the room as I jumped up, spinning on my toes to look at her.
"Christine? What's wrong?" I asked, walking over.
She had scrapes on her knees, elbows, and palms. My eyes softened, walking ober, "What happened?"
"I fell off a skateboard..." She whimpered, looking at me.
"I'm sorry." My thoughts were interrupted by Christine talking.
"What are you sorry about?" I said, frowning.
"Coming to the city, invading on your new life... If I never came... Then Everything would be Alright...." Christine looked down.
I practically slammed my hand down on the counter, making my sister jump in surprise.
"Don't you ever tell me you never should have come." I said, looking at her intently.
"Why not...?" She asked, tilting her head..
"Because I've missed you. I've missed Mom and Dad, everyone. You coming," I smiled, "made me realize that, I've been gone from home for a long time."
Christine looked at me, "But you said the opposite when you left..."
"I know I did. I regret saying that... But... It was for everyone's good... Mom and Dad got that new house they were saving up for, you got to go to the school you wanted to go to, and, I found the one I wanted to spend my life with..." I smiled at her.
Christine was quiet for a moment before she started crying. She hugged me suddenly, making me jump slightly back. After a moment, I wrapped my arms around my sister.
"We are in this together. No matter what happens... Or where we go..." I whispered.
Christine whispered, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind."
"Or forgotten." We both said softly together.
I smiled lightly as we both got up.
"And... I have a surprise that Garroth and I aren't telling anyone until after the wedding," I softly said, looking at her.
Christine looked at me, "What is it?"
I smiled, "I'm pregnant and..."
She looked at me to continue.
My smile got brighter, "We're having twins."
