(y/n)

The night was long for all of us. Though Garroth and I had left to go get Lillian and go to bed, Aaron and Christy were still at the hospital.

Apparently we had found out, Christy was having medical complications with the baby's birth, her body not fully ready to recover, which was sending all of her emotions and nerves off the charts.

I sighed. I knew I had been lucky with Lillian, everything going fine. But, it perplexed me even more. I was 16... Why didn't I have any complications happening?

The apartment room drew quiet. Lillian was asleep in her room as Garroth walked over to me.

"You should get some sleep, (y/n)," Garroth softly said, sitting beside me on my bed.

I looked at him softly, "Its hard to sleep knowing Christy's," I trailed off, not wanting to finish what I was saying.

Garroth sighed quietly, "I know..."

I softly leaned on his shoulder, thinking quietly to myself. The large question lingered in my mind.

What if this happens to me...?

Garroth looked at me. He bit his lip, "(n/n)?"

"Yeah," I softly asked, quietly looking up at him.

"Are you doing okay with yours then," He asked softly.

I was confused at his question before he gently moved his hand to my flat stomach. I smiled lightly in understanding.

"Not very much can go wrong when it's only been a month, bubba," I said softly, looking up at him.

He smiled gently, "I know... But, you think we'll have to postpone it until everything hashes out?"

I thought for a minute, "The date is in a month... Let's wait a week. Then we'll see what's going on," I softly said.

Garroth nodded, "Alright," He gently smiled after a moment.

I yawned lightly, "Okay, maybe it is time for bed," I looked at him.

He chuckled before gently kissing my nose, "Alright. I better go home then," He said softly.

I laughed lightly, "You still hold your modesty, even after sleeping here twice," My voice had a teasing tone.

He chuckled, "Hey. The first one, we were both stupid teens. The second, that was just because Lilli wasn't here," Garroth smiled.

I smiled lightly, "Alright, Alright," I giggled.

He smiled softly before walking  over again. He pecked my lips softly, "Love you."

I smiled gently, lightly pecking him back, "Love you too," I whispered.

He smiled before he left for home.

I sighed before changing into pajamas and going to sleep, smiling to myself.

Christy

"Ms. Ro'Meave? Mr. Lynca?" My head turned to the door, a nurse there, her head peeked through the door.

"Yes?" Aaron said softly, looking over as well. The nurse came in completely, shutting the door lightly behind her. She smiled compassionately and semi-excitedly, making me smile softly.

"Well, we checked everything and, your baby girl quickly recovered and, she's able to come out of the NICU." She said.

I looked at her, adrenaline starting to rush through me, "Can we go see her?"

The nurse smiled softly before she looked at the door, the door opening, Dr. Rock walking in, holding her. He smiled, "She came to see you."

Tears pricked my eyes, a small laugh escaping in disbelief. I looked at Aaron.

Aaron grinned, looking at me softly before standing up.

Dr. Rock walked over to him and carefully gave Aaron the baby, Aaron being extremely careful in holding her, her head resting in the crook of his arm. He chuckled, softly looking at me.

I looked at her curiously, wanting to see her, smiling lightly.

Dr. Rock and the nurse left the room, before they left they said to just call them at the front desk if we needed anything.

Aaron and I were in total silence for a minute, in amazement of the baby girl that, we were scared wasn't going to make it.

"She's adorable." I softly whispered when he sat down beside me, holding her so I could see her as well.

He chuckled softly, nodding, "You know who she reminds me of?"

"Who?"

Aaron looked at me with a smile, "You."

I giggled, blushing lightly, "She looks nothing like me."

"No, she does. She has your smile." He said.

I looked at the baby again.

She looked up at me before whimpering. I bit my lip, "Can I hold her Aaron...?"

He nodded, "Mhm." He stood up and gently gave her to me.

She continued to start crying. I didn't know what to do. I bit my lip, trying to go off of instinct. "Hey... hey, honey... it's okay... it's okay..." I softly whispered, gently holding her.

The baby girl looked up at me, tears in the corners of her eyes, her brown eyes looking up at me.

I smiled to her, "It's okay... I'm right here, sweetie..." I whispered, holding her comfortingly.

She stopped crying, her eyes still looking up at me. She let out a warbled sound, making me giggle. I felt warm tears slide down my face. I wanted to hold her for so long, and now I can.

Aaron chuckled quietly. We looked at each other. He smiled lightly to me before leaning lightly onto the bed and kissing my forehead. "You did amazing."

I smiled lightly before sighing contently, looking at her, "I'm so glad I never took his advice and killed her... She's too adorable and amazing to..."

He smiled softly, "She is."

I smiled before looking at him softly, "She does need a name though... I haven't been able to pick one..."

Aaron nodded softly, "Hm..."

I looked at her, studying how she looked. I gently moved my hand over her head, the soft fuzz of her growing hair felt softer than a warm blanket.

"What about Kathryn?" I looked at Aaron. 

"Kathryn?" I asked. "How so?"

Aaron chuckled. "Well, from when I was younger... It's a Latin name that means she's pure... And, when babies are born, they haven't done anything wrong.."

I looked at her softly, thinking. "Kathryn..." I smiled before looking at him. "I like it."

He smiled lightly. "Alright."

My vision looked back at her, "Kathryn Rose Ro'Meave." 

Aaron smiled, "That's a beautiful name for her." He looked at me, a cheesy line stuck in his head. I only knew because of his smile.

"You say anything sweet I might hit you." I said.

He laughed lightly, looking at me, "Alright."

I giggled softly before looking at Kathryn, who was almost about to fall asleep. I gently lifted her up in my arms and kissed her forehead, "I love you, baby girl."
