CHAPTER 19
Arthit stretched himself on the bed, feeling the light rays fall on his face. He stopped his movements when he realized there was a weight on his chest. A beautiful smile stretched across his face as he looked down at the man who was clinging to him, head on his chest. Sleeping ever so peacefully.
The elder raised his hand, caressing the younger's hair as he continued to stare at his lover. Watching as he breathed evenly, lips parted softly, hair a little messy.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning. And Arthit didn't have the heart to wake the younger up who hasn't risen yet though he's the one who usually wakes up first. Kongpob had stayed up all night, studying for his exams for Monday so that he could spend his whole day with Arthit today.
They had planned to go on a date but Arthit was not sure about it because he knows the younger has exams and he doesn't want to distract the younger. But Kongpob assured him that it was fine and that he'll manage it. And since Arthit knows that Kongpob needs this distraction, for the time being, he agreed. He wants to make his boyfriend happy and he knows that Kongpob would never forget it his studies and responsibilities.
Arthit glanced at the clock, it was just past 8 in the morning and he decided to get freshen up and prepare breakfast for his lover.
The elder walked into the bathroom after he managed to escape from his lover's arms by placing a pillow in Kongpob's arms. When he had finished taking the shower and his morning routine he found Kongpob on the bed, in the same position he had seen him before going to freshen up.
A white blanket covered Kongpob's shoulders, his arms hugging the pillow. Kongpob moved his face closer to the soft object in his arms, nuzzling into it like an adorable kid. The sight made Arthit's day brighter as a huge smile stretched across his lips.
Every day he smiles with his whole heart knowing he's loved by the one he loves, by the one who has captured his heart. He's blessed to have Kongpob in his life.
Smiling, Arthit proceeded to make breakfast for them. Once everything was ready he went up to wake his lover who was still sleeping. His shoulders moved in rhythm. Sitting over the bed, an idea popped into the elder's mind. With a mischievous grin on his lips, he leaned over to his boyfriend's face and softly blew air into his ear.
Kongpob stirred in his sleep, a soft whine leaving his lips which made Arthit chuckle before he continued to blow into his ear.
Kongpob shivered, covering his ear at the feeling of hot hair over his skin. A smile spread on his lips when he heard the familiar sound of chuckling near his ear. He turned around, wrapping his arms around Arthit's waist as he nuzzled closer to the warm chest.
"Good morning," Kongpob whispered, his morning husky voice sending shivers down the elder who held him.
"Good morning," a soft kiss was placed on the crown of the younger's head making him smile.
"You work up early?" Kongpob looked up, meeting the beautiful hazel eyes of the elder.
"Yeah, I wanted to make breakfast for you."
"You made breakfast!?" Kongpob's eyes twinkled like that of a child, "Then I'll freshen up fast and we can have breakfast!"
Arthit laughed as he watched Kongpob hurriedly get off of the bed and rush to use the bathroom. Ever since Arthit came for his short holiday Kongpob was adamant about feeding Arthit with home-cooked meals so it was once or twice during his stay that he made food for the two of them.
Back in the days when they were both in university, it was always him who cooked meals for the two, except for a few times when Kongpob would try his cooking skills which would most probably end in disasters but now the younger had grown out of it, and cook pretty decent. And Arthit loves to eat the food Kongpob cooks, it is not only about the delicious meal but knowing Kongpob had improved his cooking skills just for him, to make food for him. That thought and story behind it are what makes Arthit content.
Arthit watched with a soft smile on his lips as Kongpob stepped out of the bathroom, drying his hair with the towel, smiling widely at him. Kongpob walked to the balcony to hang the towel for drying before stepping inside and taking his seat in front of his lover.
A delicious-looking meal in front of him, his favorite dish. Kongpob glanced at Arthit before digging into his breakfast, a content smile on his lips as he savored his food, though his meal was 'bland' as Arthit likes to say, it was always one of the best delicious meals to him. Especially since it was Arthit who made it for him.
"This is soo good P!" Kongpob said, stuffing his mouth with the food.
Arthit shook his head, chuckling as he took bites of his 'less bland' breakfast.
"But I love your pancakes way better," Arthit gave a genuine remark, he loved it when Kongpob made them for him the very first time. It's his favorite.
Kongpob shrugged his shoulders, "For me, your cooking is the best!"
"Better than your mother's?" Arthit raised an eyebrow, teasing the other.
"Well, I can't compare that. I love both of your cooking!" Kongpob looked conflicted at the question but the sight made Arthit laugh.
"Understandable, same here," Arthit nodded his head. The two giggled as they locked their eyes. Smiling wide.
A comfortable silence prevailed between them as they completed their breakfast. Once Kongpob was done with his food he looked up at Arthit who was scrolling through his phone. Taking a deep breath he called out for his lover who turned his attention to him without a second thought.
"P, I just wanted to ask. Does-Does Wad know?"
Kongpob took a deep breath and cleared his thought "P why did you tell it to Wad?" He asked and it made Arthit shocked, he thought that Kongpob had forgotten about it and would never ask.
"I am sorry Kong, I know that you hate the fact that I told him but I had no choice. Seeing you in that vulnerable condition was making my heart burn Kong." Arthit paused
"I want to make sure that no one else will harm you again. And your gloomy and dull face will make others suspicious I don't want anyone to know about it." Arthit sipped his drink, Kongpob had teary eyes but he managed to not drop it.
"So if any of your friends know about it they would surely help in the situations that you may be not able to handle. The one which came to my mind first was Wad and I told him. He was really worried for you Kong. He kept his promise as he told me, please don't be mad at me" Kongpob dropped his tears; it was not tears of sadness it was tears of happiness at seeing how caring his boyfriend is.
"I will be never mad at you; you did all these for my goodness P. How can I be mad at you...Thank you P for being by my side" Arthit smiled and gave a kiss on Kongpob's lips.
"I will be always there by your side Kong, always," Arthit said and they peacefully ate their food.
Simon and his friends were hanging out at a restaurant near campus after a long week of studies and assignments. His friends didn't fail to mention the bruises and bandages on his face this time, it's been a week yet they kept teasing him about it because he got into a fight for measly things, according to them. Because the story behind those bruises according to what their friend had told was due to a fight with his 'cousin'.
Simon looked down at his phone when he saw a notification on his screen. A message from Khoa Fang popped up on his screen.
His eyebrows furrowed as he typed in a reply. A few minutes later he stood up from the chair, pocketing his phone as he excused himself from his group of friends. Putting in his share of cash for the meal they had he walked out of the restaurant.
He walked to the park nearby the campus where Khoa fang has said to meet him. Just as he walked into the park he immediately recognized Khoa fang who was sitting on a bench not too far away.
"Hey," Simon stood in front of his friend who looked up, hearing his voice.
"Hi," Khoa fang patted the space beside him.
"Why did you call me?" Simon asked and Khoa Fang looked at him with an expression he couldn't read.
"What happened to your face?" she asked in a stern voice.
Simon blinked, "I told you that I got into a fight with my cousin."
"Don't lie to me, Simon," Khoa fang glared at Simon, who was confused at the way she reacted.
"I know what happened," Simon gasped as he heard the other.
"I was there when P'Arthit beat you up. I was waiting for you to tell me about what happened but each time I asked about your bruises you didn't disclose it." Khoafang ran a hand over her face, "And well, of course, you wouldn't tell because these bruises that you got were because you did something bad to P'Kongpob, didn't you?"
"I heard everything P'Arthit had said and saw everything he did, "Khoa Fang stated and Simon lowered his head, feeling ashamed.
"What did you do to P'Kongpob? Tell me this instant. Why did you mix his drink?" She glared at her friend, she can't think of such a scenario.
Simon gulped, "I-He got drunk then I brought him to my dorm, I was drunk too and I..."
"Simon," Khoafang gasped.
"Nothing happened, P'Arthit took him away from my dorm."
There was a moment of silence between them as Khoafang tried to process everything in her head. She leaned back on the bench, sighing.
"I know that I supported you when you said you loved P'Kong, you wanted his attention and yes, I supported that too. But this, this is wrong, you did wrong, Simon."
"Now I understand why P'Kongpob behaved soo differently the past few days. He lost the trust in you, you ruined everything, Simon." Simon remained silent, hearing all that Khoafang had to say because he knew this was the truth.
"I had a crush on him too, Simon. I know how you feel, it hurt me when he turned me down but that doesn't I'll go to such extreme ends to make him mine. If you love him then you should let him go and be his happiest. If he's happy with P'Arthit then that's his choice, you or anyone else doesn't have the right to change that," Khoa fang.
"Don't you feel disgusted? Shame on you," Khoa Fang said with frustration. Simon, on the other hand, was shocked at the way his friend spoke to him but he know he deserves it. It's his fault and the realization made his eyes blur with tears.
"Don't follow P'Kong again, it's good for both him and you. He's happy with his lover and if you love him let's see him being truly happy even if that is in your absence."
"I know, I have done a great mistake. I'll not bother him ever again," Simon took a deep breath, tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Good that you realized it." Khoa Fang said as she stood up, "I'm leaving, I just wanted to speak to you about it. I didn't want to keep myself in the dark and wanted to let you know your fault."
Simon buried his face into his palms as Khoafang walked away from him. Now he has lost the impression he had in his friend. All because of his stupid actions. If he could change the past he would do that. The guilt and regret were still in him.
It was a beautiful evening for Arthit and Kongpob as they got ready for their small date night. A movie date and a small trip around the city, just within themselves and spending time together outside of the comfort of the room.
Arthit was done with his outfit for the night, a black shirt and jeans. His attention turned to his boyfriend who stepped towards the mirror beside him, looking handsome and fresh in his light blue shirt sweatshirt and navy blue jeans, hair combed to the side.
"Who are you dressed to impress?" Arthit teasingly raised an eyebrow.
Kongpob turned to face Arthit smirking back, "Are you impressed?"
"Very," Arthit stole a kiss from the younger making the other giggle.
"Good because I don't want to be left out when my boyfriend looks as if he's out of a magazine."
Arthit laughed making Kongpob smile, seeing the dimple that popped on his boyfriend's cheeks.
"So, shall we leave then?" Kongpob asked, happily turning around to leave his dorm room after Arthit nodded his head
Their first stop was at the mall, to watch the new movie that has released, which the two lovers had booked tickets for. They had walked hand in hand, buying a box of popcorn to share as they entered the theatre. Settling down in the darkness. They talked about silly things and shared smiles and giggles before the movie started to play.
Once the movie started both of their attention was on the big screen. Enjoying such moments with their other half after a long time.
Arthit glanced at Kongpob, smiling softly as he watched how absorbed the younger was in the movie playing in front of him. He scooted closer to the younger male, turning to face the big screen once again he laid his head on the other's shoulder.
Kongpob stiffened for a split second before a wide smile bloomed on his face glancing at his lover who was nonchalantly watching the movie, taking a few popcorns from the box he was holding.
When the movie was done the two males were pleased, they loved the movie and of course, they got chances to steal kisses from eachother from time to time. As they walked out of the mall they were still sharing their ideas and views on the characters and plot of the movie, a comfortable sharing of each other's perspective.
They soon took a cab to the Chao Phraya River, Rama VIII Bridge. It's been a long since they visited the place, the last time they went to the bridge was on the night after Arthit's graduation.
The sun had already set by the time they reached the bridge, the couple simply took a walk by the bridge, looking over the sky that had changed its colors, stars slowly appearing in the dark blue and black hues. Soft breeze blowing against their skin.
They paused their walk when they were far enough, not many people by the bridge as they leaned against the rails, watching the night city come to life.
"Time does fly fast," Arthit broke the comfortable silence between them, his palm placed over the younger's, softly caressing it with his thumb.
Kongpob just smiled, nodding his head as he looked down to the river which was sparkling with the reflection of the city.
"When is your flight tomorrow again?" Kongpob asked, just wanting to confirm the time.
"It's at 1 pm."
Kongpob nodded and Arthit could see that the other was trying to hold in his emotions.
"Long months of separation again?"
Though the younger chuckled at saying the statement Arthit sensed the sadness in his boyfriend's voice and of course, he can relate to it. He doesn't want to leave the younger either.
"I will miss you too Kong, soo much. But I have to go to work, we're building a future together, remember?" Arthit smiled when he spotted the younger's lips curl up in a smile.
"And besides, I'll make sure to video call you, and will try to meet up when I get holidays. Ok?"
Kongpob leaned in, placing his head on the other's shoulder and Arthit immediately wrapped his arms around his lover's waist, not caring if others would see them.
"Thank you P for looking after me always, thank you for taking steps out of your comfort zone. I appreciate it soo much, I love you."
They have come a long way, both of them. Just that Arthit had major changes in their relationship. The once shy senior who would glare at him for displaying affection in public was now the one who would shower him with attention and love, both in public and in the privacy of their closed rooms.
It's not that Kongpob disliked the way Arthit behaved in the past, he loved Arthit and he knew why the latter behaved the way he did. Not everyone is comfortable with everything and knowing that Arthit was a reserved and shy man even if he was the scary head hazer to others, he understood his lover. He never forced Arthit to do things he didn't want to.
But seeing that Arthit was taking steps to finally accept everything and come out of the boundaries he had set for himself, Kongpob is proud of his lover.
Arthit smiled wide, nodding his head, leaning in to whisper a soft 'I love you'. They spend the rest of the moment in silence, enjoying each other's warmth before they decided to have dinner.
They proceeded to walk to their dinner place, the noodle shop that was near the start of the bridge where they had dinner before they officially became boyfriends. All these places held a special place in their lives of course.
After they were done with their dinner- Kongpob having his usual bland noodles and Arthit with his spicy ones. And not to forget the extra meatballs the elder had ordered for his boyfriend- they took a cab to Kongpob dorm, but later asked the driver to drop them in front of the campus so that they could walk back to the dorm like old times.
"I will miss you," Arthit suddenly voiced out, his eyes on the road as they walked, he could feel Kongpob's eyes on him and he knew the other had a brilliant smile on his lips. He just wanted to say it though he could feel his cheeks heat up at the confession.
"I will miss you too, honey" Kongpob replied cheekily, noticing the blush on Arthit's cheeks.
Arthit shook his head, chuckling at his boyfriend's reply before he moved closer to the latter. Intertwining their fingers as they walked to Kongpob's dorm building.
The elder kept his eyes on his boyfriend who was simply humming to a tune, a smile on his lips as they walked hand in hand. The soft breeze of the night swaying the younger's hair, and the sparkle in his eyes made Arthit feel happy and content, knowing only he can bring out such beautiful features of the younger.
"What are you staring at, P?" Kongpob asked, noticing the intense gaze on his face, a smirk on his lips as he turned to face the elder.
Arthit blinked, moving his gaze away from the younger noticing that they were already in front of the dorm building.
Kongpob took a step closer, intending to tease the elder further but what he didn't expect was for Arthit to pull him against himself, almost making him fall if not for the strong arms around his waist.
"I was just admiring the handsome human being in front of me," though the elder's answer dumbstruck Kongpob for a moment, he smiled wide soon.
"Is this my P'Arthit itself?" Kongpob placed his hands on the elder's shoulders, a smirk on his lips."Who are you and why are you soo sweet to me? Want some reward?"
"If you tease me any further you'll be subject to my punishments, Kong," Arthit smirked back, moving his face closer to the younger.
Kongpob watched with a sly smile as Arthit closed the gap between them before he could kiss him Kongpob tilted his face, and gave a bite on the latter's shoulder making Arthit yelp in surprise. The younger took the chance and ran into the building laughing at the state of his boyfriend.
"You are surely going to be needing some punishment," Arthit smirked before running inside, intending to catch the younger.
Kongpob took the stairs to reach his floor when he saw Arthit was behind him. Laughing and giggling as he watched the elder from time to time, turning his face back. He even saw the elder stumbling on the chairs which made it even funnier to him.
"Kongpob!" Arthit called out when he saw the other disappear to the corner of their floor while he was still climbing the stairs.
Kongpob covered his mouth to stop himself from laughing as he hid behind the wall at the end of the hallway, it was easier to not be seen as the light at the end was not working.
Arthit came panting a little, looking around as he saw no one in the hallway so he made his way to their room, thinking the latter might be hiding inside but the door was locked. He confusedly looked around before a smirk formed on his lips.
Kongpob who hasn't stopped smiling suddenly heard a noise, a soft something had fallen and he immediately thought what if it was his boyfriend? So he tried to peek, trying to catch the figure of the elder but he couldn't. The hallway was empty.
"P'Arthit?"Kongpob called out as he started to walk away from his hiding spot. when he got near to his room a hand pulled him from the back, pinning him onto the wall. Making a small yelp leave the younger's lips.
"Caught you, "Arthit playfully smirked while Kongpob was surprised by the turn of events.
Arthit leaned down, their noses brushing eachother. Kongpob's breathing was heavy as he shivered at the whisper of the other against his lips, "Time for your punishment."
Kongpob gulped, his eyes shut tight as Arthit's hand slipped to his back, taking out the dorm keys from his pocket. The younger flinched when the elder grabbed his bum teasingly.
Before he knew it, Arthit was kissing him. Instantly shutting all his senses. All that he felt was Arthit's soft lips, tasting like his own personal heaven. Sweet and consuming all his senses.
Without breaking the kiss Arthit opened the door and pushed both of them inside before locking the room. Grabbing the younger's arms, Arthit pinned the younger against the wall, his arms above his head.
Kongpob stared into the hungry eyes of the elder, just as dazed as his. Caressing the top of their noses together, the act brought a smile to Kongpob's lips. And the younger's smile made Arthit smile back.
"You are really cute when you smile, baby," Arthit said as he caressed Kongpob's cheek.
"But for me, the cutest and most handsome is the man who's in front of me," Kongpob tilted his head, smiling as if he was uttering the most obvious thing in the world.
Arthit moved his hands to cup Kongpob's face, lensing forward for a delicate kiss. Feeling each other's breath against each other's skin, their eyes closed as their lips touched, mesmerized and wondering how their kiss still felt like magic, as if every time were their first.
Arthit moved his tongue to lick Kong's lips, seeking entrance and soon he was granted without any much effort and Kongpob parted his lips more than willingly. Both were busy exploring each other's mouths, filled with both lust and love. Leaning over eachother, holding eachother close.
Kongpob wrapped his arms around his lover's shoulder, and Arthit's hand slipped down the other's waist soon lifting him in his arms. without breaking the connection of their lips, walking to their bed Arthit softly laid Kongpob down on the bed.
Breaking the kiss as they moved themselves to the center of the bed, Kongpob, with his heartbeat raising as he stared at the elder who stared down at him, he cupped Arthit's cheeks. Caressing the soft cheeks with his thumb before raising his head, and connecting their lips again.
Moaning into the kiss, Arthit's hands slipped down Kongpob's neck, threading into his luscious black hair. Kongpob's hands moved down, unbuttoning the elder's shirt, wanting to feel his skin on his and Arthit immediately followed the action. Helping eachother to get out of the clothes that lay as a separation to their intimacy. The clothes soon being discarded around the room as they threw them away.
The younger's hands traced over the elder's hard chest, Arthit's fingers tangled in his hair as they continued to kiss. Hands traveling all over their body, wherever they could reach. Touching and feeling eachother.
Arthit buried his head into the crook of Kongpob's neck, the younger soon gasped, a pleasurable whimper leaving his lips ad Arthit sucked on his skin, making sure to leave mark on his neck. And all the sucking and biting made Kongpob moan and arch his back.
Kongpob's lips parted as he gasped and moaned while Arthit's lips traveled down to his exposed chest, the elder's lips gracing over his nipples, kissing them, sending tremors down the younger.
Moving his tongue around the pecks Arrthit enjoyed every moment of it, the moans escaping the younger gathering like a melody around him.
"Ahhh...P...please..." Kongpob pleaded in between his moans, he was impatient, and he wanted Arthit as soon as he can.
Arthit moved down, kissing the path as he traveled down to Kongpob's thigh, his hands on Kongpob's waist as his lips traced kisses over the beautiful thighs. The action made Kongpob clutch onto the bedsheet, grunts and moans escaping his lips.
"Mark me," Kongpob voiced out, his voice laced with impatience and eagerness.
And Arthit didn't waste any second after that, he stretched forward, taking out the necessary from the bedside table.
Pouring a generous amount of lube into his fingers, coating them before positioning himself between Kongpob's legs. Glancing at the younger for a second he slowly inserted his fingers. The younger gasped, his eyes closing in pleasure as soft noises escaped his lips.
The elder fastened the pace of the movement of his fingers, making sure to give the younger enough time to adjust. It was the first time they had become intimate after the incident and he doesn't want to make the other uncomfortable.
"P'Arthit," Kongpob called out in between his raspy breathing, pulling the other's face towards his, staring into the hazel orbs he smiled. "I'm fine, P. I want you in me now, make me yours, will you?"
Arthit took a deep breath, trying to calm his raising heartbeat before he smiled and nodded his head. Removing his fingers from inside the younger he proceeded to take the condom, tearing the package with his teeth before wearing it. Coating his member with lube once again.
Arthit reached over to cup the younger's cheek with one hand, pressing his forehead against the other, "I love you."
Before the other could reciprocate the confession his lips parted in a gasp, chest rising as he felt the other's member enter inside him. Feeling warm and fuzzy all over him. Kongpob moaned in pleasure and Arthit watched his lover with utmost adoration and warmth.
"P-Ahhh...harder.."
The pace increased and moans and grunts escaping the two males increased, hands traveling over each other's skin, hair messy as their fingers tangled through them. Sweat covered their bodies, heated air surrounding them.
Hip thrusting faster, honey legs wrapped over the pale waist. Skin slapping to skin. Muffled words of confession and grunts filled the room.
Arthit leaned forward, wiping the trace of tear that escaped the younger's eyes. The action put a trace of a smile on Kongpob's lips.
"Are you okay, baby?" he asked, reducing the pace of his movements. Afraid if the other was ok.
"Don't stop, "Kongpob breathed heavily, leaning forward to kiss those plump lips in front of him. "I'm more than ok, P."
Arthit buried his face into the crook of the younger's neck, feeling at home as the essence of the younger surrounded him.
Minutes flew without the two men caring about time. Pleasured moans and grunts filled the room. Lips on eachother, hands on their bodies.
Screaming as they reached the heights of pleasure, the two males, breathing heavily as they released. Coming down from the height of pleasure.
Arthit lay on top of the younger, hugging him close, his breathing heavy against the younger's skin. Kongpob wrapped his arms around the elder, stabilizing their breath and mind from the wash of utmost pleasure.
"Oh shoot," Arthit grunted suddenly.
"What happened P?" Kongpob asked, pulling away to face the elder who was now laying on his side.
"I didn't pack my luggage," Arthit facepalmed, he doesn't want to do it. He was lazy, he just wanted to lay in Kongpob's arms.
Kongpob hugged Arthit, burying his face into the latter's chest.
"I already packed it yesterday, honey."
"Thank god!" Arthit cupped Kongpob's face and peppered it with kisses making the younger giggle. "You're the best!"
"Always being best for my hubby," Kongpob smirked back making Arthit laugh before pressing a long kiss onto his lips.
****
Arthit yarned as he opened his eyes, blinking several times to steady his vision. A soft smile bloomed on his face when he saw the man beside him, hair messy and the white duvet covering his chest. He could see the marks of the passionate night they had on the younger's shoulder and neck.
Arthit was startled the next second when he heard the doorbell, confused as to who was there in the morning. He hurriedly got down, not wanting to wake Kongpob up. He hastily took the shirt and a boxer that was on the floor and wore it before going to check at the door.
"Huh?" Arthit blinked, staring at the faces that smiled brightly in front of him.
"A hi would be nice, Arthit," Tootah pointed out.
"Did you just wake up?" Prem raised an eyebrow.
Arthit nodded his head, running a hand through his hair, "Why are you guys here?"
"Is this the way you welcome your friends, Arthit? Let us in!" Bright whined.
Arthit's eyes widened realizing the position he was in. He can't let his friends inside, even Wad was there to visit.
"Wait! Why are there clothes scattered on the floor?" Bright tried to peek inside and that's when realization dawned on him.
"No way!"
Before Arthit could react Bright pushed past him, stepping into the room.
"Bright! I'll kill you if you go ins-" Arthit shouted, turning around to stop the other from going in any further but he was too late as even the others stepped inside for the show.
Bright crossed his arms against his chest, smirking at Arthit who was blushing mauve, glaring deadly at him.
"Oh, my poor nong! Look at his neck and shoulders! You're a beast, Arthit," Tootah sympathetically placed his hand on his chest. Faking worry at the junior who was still fast asleep.
"Shut up you fool!" Arthit stepped in front of them, trying to block their view of his boyfriend.
"Knott, not you too," Arthit glared at his friend who shrugged his shoulders.
"Once in a while it's entertainment," Knott simply replied, chuckling.
"You know, we should take these pictures so we can embarrass them during their wedding!" Bright pulled out his phone, smiling cheekily.
"Don't you dare!" Arthit's eyes widened, he tried to get the phone from Bright's grip but the other wasn't giving up.
The rest of their friends just silently watched the two bicker and was surprised how Kongpob slept through these noises, guess it was a long night then.
And that's when the push and pull between the two friends ended with Arthit falling on the bed, knocking his back on Kongpob.
"Ouch P!" Kongpob groaned, immediately waking up as he felt as if a prickling pain shot up from his back, the last night's intense activities showing its effect on him.
"That hurts P! My back! P, wha-" Kongpob stopped whining mid-way as his eyes widened, registering the figures who were in their room.
"Oh!" Kongpob felt his whole face flush before Arthit gathered himself, mumbling a sorry to the younger he stood up, trying to block their view of his boyfriend.
"We already saw you Kong, no need to hide," Wad giggled as he watched how Kongpob tried to hide his face.
Arthit glared at Bright ready to pounce on the other who was hiding behind Tootah, "Bright, your death will be from my hands."
"Guys relax, we're giving you 30 minutes. Make yourself presentable, we'll outside." Knott said before bragging everyone outside and closing the door.
"God! I'm so sorry, Kong! I didn't know those idiots were going to come in," Arthit turned to face his lover who had his face buried in his hands, blushing dark.
Kongpob looked up to meet his boyfriend's apologetic eyes, he shyly shook his head. Arthit looked like a kicked puppy at the moment with a pout on his lips and Kongpob just wanted to giggle at the sight.
"It's ok, P. I guess we should get freshen up soon before they decide to barge in again."
Arthit nodded his head, watching as Kongpob stood up, and hurriedly take out clothes for him and Arthit from the closet. He handed Arthit his clothes before he took his and went straight into the bathroom. Promising to get ready soon.
Once both of them were ready, Kongpob went and opened the door to see his seniors and friend outside, with Bright and Tootah bickering with eachother.
"Sorry you guys had to wait outside," Kongpob apologized after he waied at the seniors.
"Nah, it's fine. We brought you breakfast by that time. We can guess you haven't had your food," Knott smiled at the younger who took the plastic bag Knott stretched towards him with their breakfast with a shy smile.
"Thank you, P'Knott."
Everyone gathered inside, making themselves comfortable in the small space. Being inside Kongpob's dorm room, huddled together in the available space brought back memories of the late-night group assignment work and exam revisions they did during their university days in one of their friend's dorms.
"So, why are you guys here so early?"Arthit asked as he eyed his friends who were seated on the bed while he and Kongpob were having their breakfast.
"Idiot! It's almost 10 in the morning and we thought you had a flight to catch at 1," Tootah raised an eyebrow at his friend who sheepishly smiled back at him.
"Right."
Kongpob chuckled seeing how his lover reacted.
"Have you even packed your things?" Prem asked, knowing Arthit the latter was always about the last-minute panic packing.
"Don't worry about that P, I already packed his things yesterday," Kongpob proudly replies and he can see his lover's cheeks getting flushed as their friends started to tease the elder but the soft smile lingering on Arthit's lips made him smile wider.
"Damn, Arthit! What would you have done without him?" Bright laughed.
"Shut up," Arthit rolled his eyes, trying to look pissed but that wasn't the case at all. His face and smile clearly screamed how loved he felt by his boyfriend's gestures.
"Anyway, we decided to drop by to send you off. I need to come by for dropping you at the airport anyway, so we decided to come to check on you," Knott said. Arthit had called the other to ask him if he could drop him off at the airport since Knott had his own car and his best friend of course said yes.
"That being said, Arthit, you should get ready soon. It's past 10 now, you have to report at the airport maximum at 12," Prem advised as they watched Kongpob stand up, and collect their plates to wash them.
"Yeah, right," Arthit's eyes followed his lover.
And their friends didn't fail to notice how Kongpob and Arthit were around eachother. They could see that Kongpob was clearly trying to hide the emotions building in him and Arthit was trying his best to not worry his lover more. Both are equally sad to leave each other's side.
"You guys carry on, I'll be back in a few minutes," Kongpob said, collecting his wallet from the nightstand drawer.
Arthit raised an eyebrow, "Where are you going?"
Kongpob chuckled, leaning over to peck his lover's lips, "To buy you PinkMilk."
"Oh," a wide smile bloomed on Arthit's lips. "Come back soon!"
Kongpob chuckled at the elder's reaction, he waied at the seniors before walking past them but Wad took hold of his hand when he walked past him.
"I'll accompany him too," Was said, glancing at Prem who smiled understandingly as he nodded his head.
"He's clearly upset about you leaving," Tootah points out after the younger left.
"You think I don't know that?" Arthit sighs.
"He was the one who asked me to choose Ocean Electrics, this wouldn't be so hard if I stayed here."
Knott stood up, going over to his best friend he patted his shoulders," He wants the best for you, Arthit, and you know that. Yes, you both are struggling now but trust eachother, one day it'll all be worth it."
Arthit took a deep breath, nodding his head. He's glad to have friends who are understanding. He can see in them how much they care about him and his relationship, in the best way possible.
Wad kept glancing at his friend who have been silent since they stepped out of the other's dorm room. They are at the stall, waiting for their order to be packed. He let Kongpob have his time, to gather his thoughts before he could talk them out of him.
"Hey, you okay?" Wad asked placing a hand on Kongpob's shoulder.
Kongpob looked at him and gave a small smile nodding his head. The fact that Kongpob chose to stay silent was a red flag.
"It's good to talk it out, you know? I know you're gonna miss him."
"Of course, we're gonna miss eachother and I know I shouldn't sound soo weak for him leaving for work. I know I'm the one who asked him to take up this job so I don't want to seem complaining about it."
"So, you asked him to choose Ocean Electrics?" Wad asked, he didn't know about it. Kongpob usually never talks about such things.
Kongpob nodded his head, "The company he got selected in Bangkok is not very good and the one in Chiang Mai is popular. I know that there will be a lot of benefits if he works at Ocean Electrics rather than working in a company here. That's why I chose it for him."
"Sometimes I feel that I shouldn't think this way, I know he misses me too but I feel guilty whenever I get thoughts like 'I shouldn't have chosen this for him, I miss him soo much' because I know he has his dreams too. I should respect it. I only want the best for him but at times it's just hard."
Wad smiled, understanding how his friend his feeling.
"You've done nothing wrong, Kong. Sometimes it's good to be selfish, to think about your own feelings as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. You have your thoughts and musings but you don't let them affect P'Arthit's career because you know what he's doing now is one of the best decisions."
"It's healthy thoughts all along, Kong. P'Arthit is lucky to have such an understanding partner like you." Wad patted the other's shoulder who smiled back at him.
"Me too, Wad. I'm so lucky to have a person who cares and loves me soo much. I am so blessed right?" Kongpob wiggled his eyebrows making Wad laugh as he voiced out his affirmation.
"Did you like it?" Kongpob asked as he watched Arthit pick up the new shirt he had brought for the elder from the bed where he had laid it down.
"Absolutely," Arthit tried to face his shover, smiling softly. "Thank you, Kong."
"As soon as I saw the color, it reminded me of you," Kongpob smiled.
The younger walked over to his boyfriend, taking the pale yellow shirt in his hand as he helped Arthit put it on. He has brought the shirt before Arthit had come for his small holiday, he was just strolling through the mall to relax and when he saw this shirt on a mannequin the first thought that came into his mind was 'his P'Arthit'.
It was almost time for Arthit to leave, he just had to get ready and go downstairs to the parking lot where their friends are waiting for them, and Knott ready with his car.
"I will miss you, love," Arthit whispers as he watches Kongpob button up his shirt, their faces soo close that Arthit could see and feel the younger's breathing against his skin.
"I miss you too, hubby," Arthit chuckled at the endearment used by the younger. He wrapped his arms around Kongpob who looked up at him with his charcoal orbs.
"I don't know when will be the next time I can button up your shirt," Kongpob smiled softly, patting down his shoulder.
"Always, take care of yourself. Don't skip any meals. Always call me when you feel low or stressed out. Though I'm not there near you, I'll always be here for you. And don't forget to keep your alarm for the morning, you know that you won't be able to wake up the next or never mind, I'll call you every morning to wake you up. I think that's a good idea....P, are you listening to what I'm saying?"
Kongpob raised an eyebrow as he noted that Arthit was just smiling at him, listening to him go on and on. Arthit chuckled, cupping the younger's face between his palms.
"Yes, mommy, I'm listening," Arthit teased the younger who punched him in the shoulder. The two giggled before sharing a long kiss. Not wanting to let eachother go.
The two eventually stepped out of the room, taking Arthit's small suitcase along with them as they walked to the parking spot where their friends were waiting for them.
"Here comes the lovebirds!" Bright shouted and received a smack from Tootah.
"So, when will we see you again buddy?" Pream asked as he hugged Arthit.
"Have no clue, but I will try to find some time off from work," Arthit said and Pream smiled just smiled, nodding in understanding.
"At least try to meet with your boyfriend regularly, that poor kid will miss you soo badly," Tootah said and Arthit blushed, smiling as he nodded at the other.
"Ok guys, I should leave now," Arthit went over to give short hugs to his friends before going to his lover who had just approached him after placing his suitcase in Knott's car.
"I'm leaving, Kong," Arthit smiled softly, and Kongpob smiled back, and nodded his head.
"Won't you give me a goodbye, hug?"Arthit asked pouting his lips making Kongpob chuckle before pulling the other into a tight hug.
They stood like that for a little too long, basking in each other's warmth and inhaling the natural scent of one another as much as they can. And slowly Arthit could feel Kongpob's body trembling in his hold.
"Hey," Arthit pulled back and Kongpob looked down, wiping his tears immediately.
Arthit cupped Kongpob's cheeks, lifting his face to meet his eyes.
"Baby, don't cry," Arthit gulped. "How am I supposed to leave after seeing you cry?"
"I'm okay, P." Kongpob smiled, placing a kiss on the elder's cheek. "Text me after you reach the airport, ok?"
Arthit nodded his head, "Take care, ok? Don't make me worried once again. I don't want you in the hospital one more time."
Kongpob chuckled, nodding at the elder's words. "And don't forget what I told you. Don't eat restaurant food all the time, try to stick up your fridge with home-cooked meals, ok?"
"Who is the wifey here?" Bright asked, his high-pitched voice startling the couple who suddenly realized they weren't alone.
"Shut up, idiot! They're having a moment here!" Tootah scolded the other, wiping away his tears as he signaled the couple to continue.
After a moment of silence, Kongpob whispered, "I will miss you soo much, P'Arthit"
"I will miss you too, Kong."
Arthit then leaned in, wrapping his arms around Kongpob's waist while the younger's hand laid on his shoulder, as their lips touched.
Their friends gasped, containing their voices within themselves. It was a surprise to see them kissing, especially because Arthit was the one who initiated it. Sure they had seen them kiss during University days but only countable times. And most of it was just cheek or forehead kisses and kisses initiated by Kongpob.
"It's soo good to see that he has become braver," Knott said in a low voice, heard by the others who immediately agreed, smiling. They had once seen a shy, reserved Arthit who wasn't very open about his relationship and now they are seeing the same man kissing his boyfriend in broad daylight.
"If you are going to continue Arthit, you will miss the flight," Prem cleared his throat, they laughed when they saw the two suddenly pull away.
Shyly smiling at eachother Arthit made his way to Knott's car and bid final goodbye to everyone before he got it. Knott on the driving seat.
Arthit took Kongpob's hand in his through the window, and caressed his palm, "Study well, all the best for your exams and I will miss you. Love you, baby," Arthit said and kissed his hand.
"I love you, "Kongpob bit his lips, containing his emotions.
"Shall we go?"Knott asked and Arthit nodded.
He looked at Kongpob for the last time and then the car drove away. After the car left their sights, the others bid goodbye to Kongpob. Wad hugged him before mumbling that he'll see him at the campus before leaving with Prem.
Kongpob walked alone to his dorm room and opened the door to his room. He went straight to his bed and buried his face into Arthit's pillow, inhaling the smell of the elder that still lingered.
"When will we meet again? I miss you already," Kongpob sighed. He stood up after a few minutes, deciding to study so he will be distracted from the thoughts of his lover.
After half an hour Kongpob's phone's notification went on and the younger one immediately checked his phone knowing it was his lover.
P'Arthit☀️❤️
I'm at the airport, going to check in
Ok, have a safe flight.
Miss you already
Me too, Kong
Have lunch on time, ok?
Yes, P
You too, have your lunch before
getting on the plane. Ok?
Yeah, and thank you
for packing lunch for me, Kong
I'll miss your cooking
Kongpob smiled, he tried to make a quick meal for Arthit so he can take it on his flight. So the elder didn't have to buy food when he was hungry.
It's always a pleasure P
Ok, I've to go now.
Will call you went I land.
Love you
Love you too P
Kongpob closed his phone and took a deep breath. Now everything is going to be like it was before Arthit arrived, same old routine and his sunshine nowhere to be found when he reaches back to his room.
This is really boring.
