I was nominated by ClintonFrancisBarton to answer some questions about writing,  so here we go.

1-When did you begin writing? [minus because of school/work/etc.]

I have been interested in writing for a long time and have even played around with some ideas, but I didn't really start writing until a little over a year ago when my friend asked me if I wanted to help her write a fanfic.

2-What was the first book you read [or wrote] that made you cry?

I don't really know, It's hard for a book to make me cry,  but I have been very emotional about a book before, 'Color my world' by JoyMatthews21 is one that very nearly made my cry recently.

3-Does writing energize or exhaust you?

that really depends, sometimes I sit down to write and I just crank out like three pages without a hitch, other times I sit at my computer for three hours and groan while forcing myself not to go do something else, and when I finish I've only written like two words.

4-What is your writing kryptonite?

Pinterest, facebook, any social media whatsoever that is easier to scroll through than it is to write a story.

5-Do you try to be more original or to deliver to readers what they want?

I write what I want to read, but other people have great ideas too, and when people give me suggestions I consider them I if I think It works better than what I had planed, I use it.

6-What other authors are you friends with and how do they help you to become a better writer?

WannaBeFamous212- you helped me get started on Wattpad, you supported me and recommended my stories to others, I don't think I would have started posting here or met as many amazing people here if it wasn't for you.

ClintonFrancisBarton- You were one of the very first people who followed me, you encourage me, vote for me, help me improve, and inspire me with your own work.

NamingSystemIsStupid & SilverinaLacier- you are me best friends! you read my stuff and hear my ideas from the beginning, way before I was on Wattpad, and you always encourage me, (even when my story's sucks)

7-If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?

Dear younger Megan,

Work harder on spelling, grammar, punctuation, it will make your life easier. Also PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR TENSES, YOU ARE JUST CONFUSING PEOPLE!

Lots of love

-Older Megan

8-What was the best money you ever spent as a writer?

When I bought my Chromebook, it is so much nicer typing on the laptop than on a phone or tablet.

9-What is your favorite under-appreciated novel?

definitely the door within series it is the best series I have ever read, if you haven't read it go read it now!

10-How many unpublished and half finished books do you have?

Idk, my Google docs is a mess, but not very many, I only have like two actual books, most of my works are one shots.

11-What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before you begin a book?

I don't do any research before I start writing, I just jump right in and do research along the way as I need to.

12-What is the most difficult thing about writing a character from the opposite sex?

trying to make it sound different than female characters, you know, mannerisms, emotions, stuff like that

13-How do select the name of your character?

I'll be honest, I am terrible at names, usually I think about it and go through lots of different names in my head, if I cant think of one that fits I go to a baby name generator. I sometimes like to have names that mean something related to the character.

14-Do you hide any secrets in your book that only a few people will find?

not really, I usually confuse myself when I try to do that, but it does happen occasionally.

15-What was your hardest scene to write? [from any of the books or stories that you have written before]

for some reason, the end of chapter 4 of Daughter of Stark, I don't know why it was so hard but I just couldn't get through it.

16-What is the most difficult part of your artistic process?

I think the hardest part is structuring my ideas enough that I can form them into coherent stories without giving up half way through.

17-on average how long does it take you to write a book?

Uuu, a few months, depending on how into it I am

18-do you believe in writers block?

YES! WRITERS BLOCK IS A DEADLY ILLNESS, VERY FEW SURVIVE, HOPE AND PRAY THAT YOU DON'T COME DOWN WITH IT!

19-Which one of your characters do you feel closest to? [out of any that you have created]

Kennedy from Daughter of Stark, the reason I am so attached to her is because (don't judge me) I acted out several scenes as her in real life and that is what started the idea for this story.

20-what is one piece of advice that you would give to other aspiring authors?

Just put yourself out there, even if you don't think your writing is very good, I guaranty there are people who will read it, and if you let people read your work they can give you constructive criticism and help you improve.

alright, I tag
