My Thoughts on School

~Inhales~

Hello my dudes.

Once again, it is almost that time of year. The time of year we all (or most of us) dread from the pits of our stomachs to the tippy top of our heads.

The return to school.

I've seen all the pencils and pens lined up in Target, the big "Back-To-School" pencil sign looming over me like a dark rain cloud, the backpacks and lunchboxes waiting to unzip themselves and consume me.

Okay, that may have been a little dramatic, but that's how it feels.

Now, I know there are exciting aspects to starting school, especially if you're transferring to you first middle school or high school year. You get to meet new people, make new friends, and even say hi to old friends.

I kind of miss out on this because I'm homeschooled, but I seriously wouldn't trade in my homeschool life for any public school out there, but that's a discussion for another chapter in this book.

But overall, the start of a new school can be really stressful, especially depending on the grade you're going into.

The grade I'm going into is 12th grade. A.K.A my senior and last year of highschool!

Yeethaw

I'm honestly really excited to be starting my last year of high school. I know the courses and curriculum are going to be hard and stuff, but it's just such an exciting feeling when you know that the end is almost near. Senioritis is going to be with me all year long :D

What I'm really excited for, though, is taking driver's ed. I am in no way, shape, or form ready to drive a 2-ton vehicle and even when I do get my license, you aren't going to see me out on the road anytime soon.

However, I'm kind of looking forward to learning how to drive, learning about how a car works, and even taking the tests. Although I heard from my mom that the driver's test can be pretty tricky and they don't let you use your notes or anything like that, so that's a little bit of an added pressure. But I'll be up all the nights studying for the test when the time comes around to take the little fiend to make certain that I pass >:D

I'm going to do a thing that the YouTuber Joana Ceddia inspired me to do. I have a little whiteboard and on that whiteboard I'm going to write down how many days of school I have from the beginning to the end. Each day a day of school passes, I'll subtract a day from the whiteboard. I'll keep this going the whole semester until the school day count is at 0 and then I can celebrate :D

I'm also excited about the graduation ceremony so I can walk up the stage in my grad cap and rob, grab that diploma out of the presenter's hands, and yeet myself off the stage to finally be free.

I mean, college will of course be patiently waiting to drag me into the depths of its campus, but that's in the future so we'll just disregard it for now :,D

That's all for this chapter, guys! I just kind of felt like writing about starting my senior year. This definitely won't be the last chapter discussing this subject, so stay tuned for more senioritis.

Thanks everybody for reading until the end! Stay kawaii and bye for now~
