My Thoughts on "Permission to Dance"

Hi everyone! (◠‿◠✿)

How are you all doing? I hope you're doing well and having a wonderful weekend!

In a bit of news, BTS has just released their new song, "Permission to Dance"! I was fortunate enough to be able to watch the live premiere of the song, which I am super glad that I did because it was amazing! It was such a fun little bouncy song about finding the good in life and living every day like you should be dancing.

I thought that in this blog post I could talk about my favorite parts of Permission to Dance, like the messages behind the music, how they featured all the members (including Jin, my bias!), the styles of the members, and more!

~New Summer Styles~

As we are all developing our new summer styles (hello hot weather and hello summer dresses, sandals, and shorts!) it is no wonder that BTS has graced us with their brand new, fresh summer styles for the Permission to Dance music video.

I'll tackle each style individually and list my favorite parts of their style:

RM

I have to say, the bright yellow hair was a bit of a shock to me! I've never seen RM with this type of brightly colored hair before, and I think that he worked with it quite well!

His white floral shirt reminded me of what you would wear walking along the pier so that you could feel the breeze blow through your shirt. Overall, RM had great style in the music video!

Jin

Ahh, my bias, worldwide handsome Jin! ヾ(@⌒▽⌒@)ノ

I absolutely LOVED Jin's style in the music video! His slightly longer hair, his light blue jeans and loosely fitted shirt just screamed beach vibes. Definitely one of my favorite looks of his!

Also, can we just mention how happy he looked throughout the entire music video? It just put such a smile on my face!

Suga

Lil' meow meow had such a different style in this music video! I got Shadow vibes when he walked in the center with his gray colored hair, to be honest ヽ(' ∇' )ノ

Once again, can I say beach vibes? The bandana, the blue jeans, and the loose white shirt all looked like he could be walking down the beach.

J-Hope

After Jin, J-Hope was my favorite in the sense of style! I absolutely loved his short, blonde hair. I think it works so well on him!

Also, his outfit was great. Once again, I know I've said this about every member so far, but can I say beach vibes again? Light tank top and some neatly-patterned jeans. Very nice style!

Jimin

Jimin's sense of style was also great! The short black hair and the light beach-y clothing (yes, I know, comparing the clothes to the beach feel again! I can't help myself!) was such a good fashion choice.

The hair really brought me back to the No More Dream/ORUL82? era!

V

V's sense of style was very unique! It reminded me of a beach cowboy. The ripped jeans, the two-toned blue shirt, and a straw-colored hat. Super unique! I also really liked his hairstyle.

Jungkook

Haircut time for Jungkook!

His hair looks just like it used to when BTS first started, which was a really nice surprise. I also liked his mostly all-black wardrobe and sense of style.

I really enjoyed how each member, despite keeping their style within the theme of the music video, all added their own personal flair to it, which made seeing their styles all the more interesting.

~The Vocals~

As usual, BTS performed stellar vocals in Permission to Dance. I really enjoyed how they used all the members pretty evenly throughout so that everyone would get a fair turn to sing.

My favorite singing performance would have to be Jin's. I love how silky smooth his voice sounds and how you can always tell when he's singing, since they all have such distinct voices. Also, the da-na-na-na-na-na-na's that Jin sang were all so cute and really well sung!

I also enjoyed being able to listen to the rap line sing, as their voices are always so calming and sweet-sounding to me (they're also all very good) I loved how Suga and J-Hope sang their part almost together in a way, and it was really great!

~The Message~

One of my favorite things of Permission to Dance was the message of the song. It was such a fun, uplifting song about how we shouldn't let the hurdles in our life get to us and faze us, and we should just keep dancing!

I loved at the end that everybody that was featured in the music video was shown taking off their masks and smiling, showing that things are getting better where they were. It's always encouraging to see, and I loved that they included this in the music video.

I also loved just seeing how much fun everyone was having. BTS, the others featured in the music video, and even the staff at the end. The happiness was real!

I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on Permission to Dance, and I hope you enjoyed Permission to Dance as well (if you've seen it, and if you haven't, go watch it!)

I wish everyone a happy weekend. Stay kawaii and bye for now! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
