|Breakfast Is On Me.|

"You ungreatful, bastard child!"
*SLAP*
"I'm sorry mama... I will do better next time." The young girl held her hand to her now bruised cheek, and spoke with a monotonous accent, only angering her mother even more. The girl was choring away, as she usually did at the manor, but had spilled the mop bucket, and water now flowed over the once clean, tiles.
"Next time?? Hah! Who says there'll BE a next time!?" The woman cackled, sending harsh chills down the girl's spine, as her 'mother' reached out for her.

Eclair sat up, panting heavily, and gripping her sheets tightly.
'Again.... Damn.'

She looked at the small alarm clock. 4:56. Sighing briefly, she stood up and began stretching, but flinched midway, and put her hand inside the front of her pants, tracing the bruised, but almost nonexistent scar on the tip of her pelvis.
'Mom..'

9:23
Eclair glared at the man in front of her with her arms crossed, 'Why is he always staring at me.. Ugh.' She thought angrily. Hisoka was chuckling lightly, but still could be heard.

"You should smile~ I bet you have a really pretty-"
"Shut up. We are here for business, not to socialize." She interrupted. It was amazing how this man, whom she'd met just yesterday, already never ceased to annoy her, truly amazing.

Her interruption only amused Hisoka even more.
"If we aren't socializing, then why pick a café to do business?~" he let each word roll off of his tongue, while placing his elbows on the small booth table, and linking his hands to place his chin on top of them. His eyes never left hers, which aggravated her. She really didn't like him.

'Don't really have any other options though...' Her thoughts were interrupted by a perky waitress asking, "Can I get you two anything?!" The woman observed the two, her eyes lingering on Hisoka, a split second longer than Eclair deemed necessary.

"A black coffee, and what did you want sweetie?~"
Eclair resisted the strong urge to growl. "I'm fine. Thank you." A permanent scowl seemed to be etched on Eclair's face. Hisoka wanted to change that.

"Alright! I'll be right back with your order!" The waitress looked at Hisoka, once again, and blushed slightly before scurrying off.

"To answer your previous question, a café provides the security, and secrecy that I need. Besides," she hesitated, "I'm hungry."

Hisoka put a hand on his mouth, to prevent himself from laughing, but his efforts proved futile, and a few chuckles left his lips. Eclair didn't bother with responding, she was to busy looking through the small menu she was handed, upon arriving.

The waitress came back with a small tray in her hand. She set it down, as she was putting Hisoka's contents on the table, as well as a few condiments.

"Can I get you two anything else?"
Eclair felt like it was directed towards Hisoka, but answered anyways, "May I just get some pancakes?"

"Sure! Anything else?" The waitress looked at Eclair, then to Hisoka.
"No that'll be all." Eclair answered, before the silence got too long, and awkward.

"Ok! It'll just be a few-"
"Did it hurt?" Hisoka interrupted.
The waitress looked at him with confusion in her facial expression. "Huh?"
"When you fell from heaven~"

The waitress blushed uncontrollably, and began stuttering, "I-i'd better go g-get your orders!"

She scrambled away, and a giggles could be heard from her direction.
Eclair didn't resist this time. She rolled her eyes and face palmed, earning a hearty chuckle from Hisoka.

"Ugh. Anyways.. do you have any questions. About the-"

"Yes, a few~."

"Well, proceed.."

"What's T.D?~"

Eclair stared at the man for a few seconds, a light blush staining her cheeks, then she huffed and looked away, mumbling "Take Down..."

Hisoka raised one eyebrow, "And, you decided to initialize that because?~"

Eclair mumbled again, "It seemed cooler.."

Hisoka wanted to pinch her pouted cheeks, that or bite them.

"You shouldn't do that ya'know~ Puffing out your cheeks can lead to sagging in the future~"
"Shut up..."

Their conversation was interrupted once again, by the waitress, as she set Eclair's pancakes down in front if her, along with syrup, and a water.
Hisoka noticed her eyes light up a bit, like a child who'd just received a gift. It was cute.

They conversed about the job, throughout the hour, Hisoka sipping from his coffee every now and then.
When they were both done, the waitress handed them the bill, and Eclair didn't fail to miss the woman's number scribbled below the price, with a little heart next to it.

She rolled her eyes and reached out to grab the tab, but Hisoka beat her to it.

"Don't worry, I got this~"

"Whatever."

"It's always polite when a man pays for the tab on a date, that he receives a kiss on the cheek~"

"Good thing this wasn't a date then." And with that, Eclair stood up and left, Hisoka's eyes never leaving her form the whole way out.
