3rd P.O.V

"Eeehh!!! Nononono it's fine I'm so sorry for wasting your time, sir! Bye!" Alex said running fast as they could back to their apartment. "Gaaaaah! Fuck…" Alex groaned.

Well, that was a disappointment students aren't allowed to have part-time jobs! Who knew?

Also the embarrassment! I just wasted their time! Alex facepalmed themself trying to remain calm from that embarrassing moment minutes ago.

Alex got home and opened the door, they laid their bag on the floor and threw themself in bed. Alex sighed out looking up to the ceiling, that's when a sudden notification on their phone interrupted. Alex grabbed it and checked who it was that interrupted the brooding moment.

Yachi: Hi Alex-san!
Yachi: Did you manage to get home safely?

Alex: oh hello Yachi, yes I just got home and threw myself on the bed  Yachi: oh! You must be tired already goodnight then!

Alex: not sleepy yet but goodnight night anyways XD

Alex chuckled at their conversation and placed their phone on the bedside table. Alex then pulled out some comfy clothes and changed into them. After changing Alex laid themself on the bed and tried to fall asleep, keyword tried.

Alex woke up to the sound of my alarm, it took them a few minutes to stay in bed before getting up and getting ready for the day. Alex went to the bathroom and turned on the lights. They saw their reflection on the small mirror beside the light switch of the bathroom. They had a lot of piercings on their face, mostly on their ears so they usually let their hair down to cover it up. They ate breakfast, got dressed and locked the apartment, and brought the key of course.

"Day two now, yesterday I got a friend and embarrassed myself so day one failed successfully," They told themself, sighed, and walked to school while also making an effort to forget a part of yesterday's events.

Alex arrived in the classroom to hear Yachi greeting them a good morning and of course, Alex returned the gesture.

"So how did the part-time job go?"

Alex groaned and slammed their head on the desk.
"I don't wanna talk about it" "Eh, you didn't get it? " "Y E S."

"Alex-san wanna go have lunch?" Yachi said, pulling out her bento.

"Sure" Alex responded, they stood up from their seat and followed Yachi into the halls. "Wait!" Alex and Yachi turned their heads at the sound of someone's calling. They saw a pretty girl walking towards them

"We're finding a new manager for the volleyball club, which of you hasn't been in a club yet?" Alex sees Yachi struggling to reply to the goddess in front of us so they tapped her shoulder to snap her back into reality. "Yachiii, they're asking if you're in a club yet?" they told her. "Yes! I am! So sorry I can't join!" Yachi said bowing down.

"Eh, it's fine, how about you? You're new right?"
'Shit, if I say yes I'll be obligated to join, and if I say no that'll just be a very embarrassing and rude lie. No offense to volleyball though or any other sports but those kinds of things remind me of my dark days.' Alex thought to themself

"That was a terrible serve!" "Sorry!" "Aren't you tall? Why can't you play well!"

'Just because I'm tall doesn't mean I can play sports well!' Alex thought to themself "Well yes-"

"Are you willing to join! All you have to do is manage them, you don't have to play"

'Well if I don't have to play then I guess I'll give it a try.' Alex thought "Alright.." Alex sighed out, and continued their thought" As long as I don't have to play history won't repeat itself.'

"Great! After school you can come to the gymnasium and familiarize yourself, my name is Kyoko Shimizu nice to meet you"

"Alex Wood, nice to meet you too"

After introductions, Kyoko was about to leave. "Are you going to be able to handle being a manager Alex-san?" "Time will tell I guess, c'mon let's go eat lunch"

It was after school time now and Alex was heading to the gymnasium with Kyoko-san in front of them. She opened the door, catching the players in the gym's attention.

"This is our new member Alex" "It's a pleasure to meet you all!"
"Welcome to the club, Alex! My name is Yuu Nishinoya! " A boy who was jumping said he was short but surprisingly had a lot of energy in him.
"Oh! I remember her!" Alex became a bit tense hearing the wrong pronoun 'Don't be offended Alex, it's just a pronoun, don't overreact because of it if you don't want to embarrass yourself.' Alex thought

"Oh, right the guy who threw a ball at my face haha" Alex chuckled out.

"HOW COULD YOU HINATA!?" "HOW COULD YOU HURT A GIRL"
'Don't mind it' Alex again thought "It's fine, accidents happen," Alex said trying to calm them down. "So? What do you think Alex?" Kyoko-san asked me "They're chaotic but strangely have good company," they said. "What does 'chaotic mean?" Hinata asked "Messy, loud, full of energy!" Alex snickered as they saw Hinta sulk.

"Just kidding!"

As Alex was about to head home they saw that some of the lights were still on, in the changing rooms. "Kyoko-san aren't they going home?" "They're still studying for the upcoming exams and tutoring the 4 idiots" Alex  chuckled at Kyoko referring to Hinata, Kageyama, Noya and Tanaka.

"You go ahead, I'm not really going to do anything at home so I might as well help them with they're problem" Kyoko-san nodded and told me to not stay up too late.

"Can I help?" I said opening the door "Alex thank god, the savior has arrived!" As Hinata said that he and the other two started bowing down.

"Stop that, I'm just killing some time before I go home"

"Aren't your parents going to be worried about you coming home late?"

"I live alone in an apartment" I said as I sat on the floor and pulled out my notes.

"So I heard you are failing in English?"

"Yes," Hinata mumbled.

"Alright then no problem, everyone has their flaws" I laid out some notes that I took and studied that were easy enough to understand.

"Let's get started then"
