"Thank you for your hospitality, Ember, but we'll take our leave. Sorry if we caused any trouble," Danny thanked her politely.

"Nonsense, babypop," Ember said, "You know you can come whenever you want."

"Where are our weapons? I'm not leaving until you return what you took from us!" Maddie demanded.

Ember's smile turned into a scowl in less than a second. "Skulker went for them, you'll have to wait."

Not so long after, Skulker burst through the doors with several small weapons.

Why do they carry weapons to a field trip whose destination had nothing to do with where they were currently in, you may ask.

Well, they were Maddie and Jack Fenton. Paranoid ghost hunters that if you said 'lost' they would probably hear 'ghost'. And for that always carried weapons, just in case an evil ghost—because all the ghosts were evil to them—appeared and decided to attack.

Of course, Danny being their kid, adopted something from his parents. He was also a little bit paranoid. But his weapons were on a bag.

"I've brought them!" Skulker announced as Jack and Maddie rushed to retrieve them.

After they got out of Ember's house (or rather, her mansion) Danny led them through the woods, heading north.

And, yes, he knew which way was north even though the instability of the Zone and the constant changes in it. He had gained sort of a compass after he turned 17 so he could find his way through the kingdom he would rule eventually.

"How much longer do we have to walk? It's been forever," Dash complained.

"To reach the only portal that we can actually open from here? Not that much. We'll get there today without detours," Danny said.

"Didn't your parents had a portal?" Star asked the halfa.

"We have one but it can only be opened from the outside. Also, when we come occasionally here to explore, we have the Specter Speeder which has a panel that can also open it," Maddie replied. "But we didn't come prepared for a trip here. So we just have the basics."

"Is... Is that our bus?" Mikey asked pointing to the very destroyed vehicle.

"It used to," Sam spoke. "It's useless now."

"But at least, we reached the end of the island," Tucker commented.

"But how are gonna get to the other side? [A/N: wAShInGtOn iS wATchIng frOm ThE OthEr sIdE.]" Paulina asked.

"Okay, first, humans are like the ghosts in the Ghost Zone. That means, with practice and time you can learn to fly here, you will pass through things and become invisible. Right now, you won't be able to do it, but we can carry one, so we'll leave you on the other island and return immediately to carry another one," Danny explained.

"What do you mean with 'we'?" Kwan asked.

"As Danny said before, we have come here for some time, and we learned a couple of things. One of those were flying," Sam explained.

"I don't believe that you guys can fly here," Rebecca, an A-lister, said.

To prove them all wrong, the three teens started flying in midair.

"It's not fair that Fenturd and his weird friends can fly but we can't!" Sergio, another A-lister, whined.

"If it were not for us, you couldn't pass," Sam said angrily. "Maybe we should just fly to Kanikos by ourselves!"

"Wait, Ms Manson, what exactly is Kanikos?" Mr Lancer asked her.

"It's the name of the capital. It actually doesn't mean anything, the king-"

"Actually, the prince," Danny interrupted her but she ignored his comment.

"-just thought it sounded funny."

"They 'ave a form of 'overment? We thought that was impossible!" Jack exclaimed.

"Yes, they have," Danny replied coldly.

"And who is the king?" Taddeous Gibbs, Mikey's best friend and an enthusiastic geek, asked them.

"Phantom," Tucker said almost automatic.

"I always knew I was gonna be Queen someday!" Paulina celebrated. "I'll make him fall in love with me and I'd be a Queen!"

Before Danny could say that Phantom would have to be blind and deaf to fall for her, Eddie Brook (someone who usually doesn't talk) decided to speak.

"How do you know he isn't in a relationship now? Or that he even wants one?"

"That is not possible," Maddie said as-a-matter-of-fact, "First, ghost don't have enough intelligence to create a form of government. And second, they can't feel like us."

Talking started to grow in volume and in stupidy. Almost none made a clever remark 'til the flying teens decided to intervene.

"Okay, yOU ALL SHUT UP!" Sam yelled and silence made its way.

"Sweat, you made them shut up."

"Can't you teach us to fly?" Eugine Rabb asked.

"We can't help you to fly now for simple reasons: one, it takes time we don't have; two, if you fail and fall... you'll be falling for eternity," Danny explained.

"What do you mean?" Maddie asked.

"Well... nobody knows for sure, except the prince, but there are legends that say that you'll fall forever, never reaching the end," Danny added. And yes, he knew what would happen if a ghost or a human fell, but was not allowed to tell anybody apart from the heir to the throne... in due age.

"Whatever, we'll get you there. if you want to say something from now on, you keep it to yourself. We are gonna start taking one person per flying person there so we can really get to Kanikos when nighttime comes," the raven-haired flying kid continued. Sam and Tucker knew what they had to do, so they grabbed Mikey and Jack Fenton respectively and flew away.

"My turn," Danny said when he saw them coming back, and grabbed Eddie.

One by one, everyone crossed the void and when the last human had passed, one exclaimed, "Is... is that a beach?" Star asked bewildered.

"It... seems so," Reggie Urano said.

"How is there a beach in here?!" Maddie screamed.

"Oi, mates!" A ghost in swim pants welcomed them, "Welcome to Beach Corpse! The only beach in the Ghost Zone! And, therefore, the best!"

"Tonny!" Danny exclaimed with a smile, "Isn't your beach on the west part?"

"Oi, Danny! Yeah but you know that it's been weird 'round here and our islands keep moving, except Kanikos, as you know," he replied smirking.

"At least is gonna be over soon," Danny added. "Just wait two months."

"How do you know him and not your friends, Mr Fenton? Because they don't seem to know each other," Mr Lancer asked.

"Well, sometimes I come here without them and I met him in one of those times."

"You come here alone?!" Both of his parents exclaimed. "That was really dangerous, young man!"

Ignoring her, Sam said, "Hi, I'm Sam, Danny's friend. And this is Tucker." He waved at him.

"Neat, I'm Tonny, you've probably met my brother, Johnny 13. So... sorry for asking you but why did you bring so many humans here?"

"I didn't plan it, Tonny," Danny said. "But that is a story for another moment." His voice indicating that he would talk about when they were alone.

Tonny, understanding his message, nodded.

"How are we gonna get to Kanikos?" Mikey asked.

"Well, there's a bus, but since the location of the island has changed... it is probably going to get here in 3 hours," Tonny answered.

"You have... a bus?" Valerie asked not believing her ears.

"King Phantom upgraded the Ghost Zone when he received the throne, he made an organized capital city, he put on a currency that is available for everyone, he made a network of buses that go through all the Ghost Zone, and he is working on putting thones. Some places already have them."

The faces of awe in humans were completely hilarious in the opinion of the trio and the beach ghost but Danny had to say something, "First of, they are called phones, Tonny. Second, he is not King yet. He is a prince. He hasn't been crowned yet."

"Potato, potato, anyway two months will pass in a flash and he will be king," Tonny said. "Whatever, until the bus comes you can enjoy the beach, we have a mini store where we sale swimsuits. But since Danny is with you, you can get one free per person."

"I won't do it, I'll pay at least mine," Danny said. "I have money here and I won't take a no for an answer."

"I'll also pay mine," Tucker and Sam said.

"You really don't have to."

"We insist," the trio said.

"As you wish." Tonny sighed. "Come in the store so you can choose your swimsuits."
