[39] When your AI carries you...

So this is Nannanur's lair huh...

The dungeon entrance alone was pretty intimidating, as the cave entrance itself was carved like the opening jaws of some ancient dragon. We were on the side of the cliff of a mountain, and when I looked around, it appears we were the only players around.

"NO.1!" Enju pumped her fist in the air, as she stopped half way into the great stone jaw opening.

"Must recover...Chakra..." Sioux panted, as she accidentally wobbled into me. Which turned my ears red at once.

"Ekkk..." I jumped back a little, by Sioux didn't seemed to notice, as she wobbled a few steps forward and leaned onto Piphra.

"I need a kawai girl to lean on..." Sioux said breathlessly.

Piphra didn't say anything, but her magical pet penguin spoke up for her, by sending little peeks towards Sioux's face.

"Ouch! Stupid bird!" Sioux jumped back and swatted away the bird's incoming attack.

"Alright, quiet down and everyone's here right?" Eziel cracked his neck, and everyone kind of half gave their attention to him.

"Hai!" Enju waved her hand.

"Kill me..." Sioux said, and I can just imagine a ghostly bubble coming out of her mouth. But to be fair, it was a pretty long climb now.

"Here." I reported in.

"En." Piphra nodded.

"That makes everyone now, alright let's head in." Eziel signalled, and everyone else began to follow through.

Our team didn't have an official party leader at the time, even though it Eziel seemed to be the one in charge and calling the shots, you would be surprised who has the highest level at the time. And of course, it was pretty much fact, that I was still the lowest level member of the party...

"Alright, I am going to choose the difficulty of the dungeon now." Eziel said, as a window opened up in front of him. "Because it's Riga's first time going to a dungeon and because of his level, we are just going to play on normal." Eziel continued, as he tapped something on his window. A moment later, a window appeared in front of us:

You are about to enter [Nannanur's lair]

[YES] [NO]

After everyone clicked yes, including myself. The cave mouth before us began to glow in a sinister red light, like it was about to spit fire at us. Luckily that didn't happen, or else we all would have died and all the dungeon monsters can live happily ever after...

The first to step through was Eziel, as he took the lead and the rest of us just kind of clumped behind him. And the moment we stepped through the red light, we found ourselves completely surrounded in darkness.

There was a double tap of a staff, and a brief moment later, a blue ghostly flame lit up from the tip of Piphra's staff. Shrouding us all in an eerie blue light.

"Let us move." Piphra said, as we all took a moment to look at one another. Once the moment passed, we were all on the move again with the previous formation.

Several minutes into the dungeon, there were no sight of a single monster, not even a single bat. And the closest thing to a jump scare was a couple of decorative skeletons lying on the ground. Just as I having second thoughts about the place, being a kids haunted house, rather then a real dungeon, something shinny caught my eye. And when I stopped, focused and looked. There was no doubt about what I saw: Gold.

My adventure's instinct struck at once, as I hurriedly ran to the chest. Behind me, shouts called my name, but it was already too late. The instant my hand touched the chest, the chest sprang up; literally. Up close, I could see the bottom of the chest lid filled with razor sharp teeth, and shooting out from the pile of gold was a bright red tongue. Both of them approaching me and an experiential speed. And it was at this moment, I knew:

I fked up.

I shut my eyes and shielded myself for the worst. There was a strong chill from my side, followed by a loud CLUMP sound.

Blinking, I lowered my guard and found the chest monster lying in front of me in a cube of ice.

"Haaa..." Enju sighed as she walked past me and raised her staff, then with a single tap of her wand, the chest monster Popsicle shattered into a million pieces.

"What are you going to do without me, Riga?" Enju turned and faced me, with a proud smile hanging on her face.

Enju, now at level 126, was the highest level member on the team.

That feel when your AI is almost 3 times your level...

Q: Are you afraid of going to a haunted house in an amusement park?
