[28] The hardest skill

I never really had a friend, and your mom friends's child doesn't really count. Cause those usually end up ignoring me 3 minutes after we meet. But even I know that making friends online is different from making friends in real life, but either way I was a lost cause. And while sweating to the point of becoming a human fountain, Enju tugged me by the shoulder lightly, then much stronger the 2nd time:

"Riga, Riga..."

"Yesss?" I replied, my voice already a nervous wreck.

"It must be my lucky day today! Another hot guy!" Enju pointed, her cheeks growing bright pink.

"A...A...Wait! Enju! What are you doin-" my sentence was cut short as Enju began to drag me into the direction.

Oh no...shit, shit, SHIT!

I thought about kicking and and scrambling to break from Enju's grasp, but I figured that would only make myself look even more embarrassing.

Wait, I can log out to get out of this...

No...that won't solve anything in the end...

Well looks like I am done for, and possibly the game's first death by awkwardness...

"HAI DOMO! I am Enju, and this is my friend, mas-I mean Riga! We are new to the guild, and I was wondering if you could help us?" Enju said with a bright flashy grin, as she propped me forward with one hand.

"New members huh..." The guy said with a cool smooth voice, as he rubbed his chin with one finger and inspected us.

The guy appeared to be the same age as me, he had bronze tanned skin, snow-whitish hair and a devilish handsome face. For clothing he wore a white silk coat that exposed his lean muscular chest, ordinary white silk pants and brown lined sandals. And most notably, at the side of his leather belt, hung a 3 foot long scimitar stored in a jewel encrusted sheath.

"I am Eziel, Sword Master. So what do you need help with?" Eziel said with an easy going voice.

Enju looked at me for one moment, before turning her attention back to the guy again:

"Actually we're a bit under levelled..." Enju looked down and tapped her fingers guilty.

"Ha..." Eziel weight the words for a moment, before continuing: "so, what are your levels currently?"

"26, and Riga is 20." Enju replied.

"Impossible! The guild won't let you in, unless they made an exception..." Eziel mouth was half opened as he came to some sort of realisation.

"Wait, I heard there was level 20 priest who defeated Thantos. Don't tell me..." He looked to Enju then back to me.

"Ah...En..." I nodded hesitantly.

For a moment he just stared at me, the next he slapped a hand on my shoulder and caused me to jump under my skin:

"Dude..." his voice was cold. "I don't even know how to thank you!" he grinned.

"Whhhatt?" I looked right and left thinking he must be referring to someone else...nope it was me...

"Thantos's been a douche ever since he was in the guild. But ever since I heard he lost that duel, he was fired from the guild, you have no idea man, you done us all a great favour."

"Ha..." I said, feeling lost already.

"Eziel!" A voice from the tables called out, and a moment later, the owner of the voice emerged beside Eziel.

"Who are they? Are they new comers?" the new girl asked. She appeared to be slightly younger then me. Her skin was a light tone caramel, her eyes green like live emeralds, and short chocolate brown hair. She wore a pair red shorts and red tank top that revealed her belly. And to complete her look she had wore a pair leather boots and not to mention the jewelled pendant around her neck.

"Yeah. In fact my dude Riga here," Eziel gestured to me, "is the one who took down Thantos."

"Really!?" The girl stared at me wide eyes, and I honestly couldn't help but blush. But cut me some slack, I am not used to being stared, especially by a cute girl...

I felt my head just got a few degrees hotter.

"Hmm???" she stepped closer to me and subconsciously took a step back.

"He's pretty cute, can we let him join our team?" the girl pulled back and turned to Eziel.

"Ah, I was going to say that. But now that you said it..." Ezeil looked to me and Enju.

"You want to join our team? It's up to you two." Eziel scratched his head.

What? It was this easy?...no wait, there must be some sort of catch...

"Oh wait, I almost forgot to introduce myself." the girl set a hand on her chest. "I am Sioux, high priestess. And oh, is that your girl friend? Cause she is so cute!!!" Sioux giggled.

"She's just my friend-" before I could finish. Sioux had already wrapped her arms around Enju, in a way one would hug a life-sized plush doll.

"Riga, help-" Enju squirmed, as Sioux rubbed her cheek against Enju's cheek with a satisfying grin.

"Looks like they are getting along already." Eziel commented.

"Yep..." was all I can say.
